@JFC: Yeah, I can totally picture it too! I cracked up when I wrote it! And no, they aren't watching softcore. Our idols aren't those kind of girls.....(maybe). They were exaggerating so what they were doing was little more risqué than the movie. I've killed so many ppl. Should I be feeling bad about this?

She NoticedI slump against the wall and slid onto the practice room floor. I could feel my mouth curl into a somewhat frown as I pull my knees to my chest and hug them. I’m feeling pretty dejected. This feeling is not new. But the reason I am like this makes me even more upset.
I just saw Ai-chan playing around with Sayu and Lin Lin while I sat here, looking bored. I mean, what the hell? I’m her best friend and she’d rather play with them. I know I could have asked and they would probably let me hang out with them. But I just….I just don’t want to. It’s stupid but I’m hoping she’ll notice I am alone and invite me over.
My head seems to fall lower and lower as I think about her. Her kind smile, the only thing that could bring me out of my slump. The broad expansion of shiny white teeth, the little line above her upper lip. I trace the wrinkles on the knee of my black and white Adidas track pants. “I love you…”, I whisper, my heart breaking.
A few minutes later, Natsu-Sensei tells us all to get back in position to practice for Resonant Blue. I take a few deep breaths and stand up, my usual smile pasted on my face. No one suspects a thing. I take my place and the music begins. My anger and disappointment manifests and I can feel the smile slip away. I don’t know if I look angry but I put all of those feelings into my movements. I jerk my knee up hard and roll my body. I can feel some of the other members glance at me. I ignore them and continue my moves. My shoes squeak loudly as I twist my body to the choreography.
Even Ai-chan seems to notice me now.
As the songs ends, I come down from my high. My adrenalin slows and my blood pumps less rapidly through my veins. “Niigaki, good job”, Natsu-Sensei says to me, smiling and patting my shoulder gently. I weakly smile and quickly gulp some water. I walk past Mittsi and Koharu and catch a bit of their conversation. “Nee, did you see Niigaki-san?”, Mittsi says, looking at her friend with serious eyes. “Yeah, she was really working hard”, Koharu replies as she reties her ponytail. I inwardly smile at the comments.
No one suspects a thing.
I stretch my legs and bend over to retie my shoelace. I can feel someone staring at my back. Standing up, I swirl around to find Ai-chan standing there. She is wearing a white T-shirt and grey sweatpants. She looks so beautiful, even though sweat drips down her forehead. I smile at her and turn to walk away. She reaches out and her small hand grips my wrist. I don’t turn and she begins to speak, just as I predicted. “Nice job with the dancing but I know you’re mad”, she says, “I’m sorry for whatever I did.” I start to look at her but she pulls me into a furious hug. I let out a tiny cry and my body crashes into hers. My arms move up and hold onto her back. My eyes begin to water but I don’t care.
My Ai-chan is back.
