UPDATE!!!!!
While the four were enjoying their cold cuts, one of the owners of the club went to their table.
He stood right in front of Hitomi. “Yoshizawa-san… I’m glad that you finally came… I’ve been sending an invitation to you for months…”
“Well, I’ve been busy… this is the first time in a long while that I have time to go out with my friends…” Hitomi hinted that this wasn't the time for business.
“I see… well… I heard of your merger with Matsuura Motors, congratulations.”
“Thank you.” She hoped to end the conversation but fate wouldn't have it.
“I know you’re out celebrating with your friends right now but I have some friends who would like to meet you…”
Hitomi, though she didn’t want to go, had to. It is probable that this could open new business ventures. “… Okay then… enjoy your meals, ladies… I’ll be back… have fun…”
Hitomi felt a tug at the hem of her shirt. It was Rika. She pouted at Hitomi. I couldn’t possibly have fun without you.
Hitomi got what she meant. She leaned in close to Rika. “I’ll be back later... this will be quick…” Rika gave her a quick peck on the cheek and let go of the shirt.
Hitomi walked away with him and disappeared into the darkness and the crowd.
The four, now finished with their cold cuts, ordered their first round of drinks. They decided to order the same thing. Martini. A decent start.
Rika reminded herself to pace herself well and make sure that she doesn’t go overboard. She and Ayumi know well that she gets really noisy when drunk. She might end up speaking to a surprised Hitomi.
Ayaka, Ayumi and Mai were chatting among themselves and Rika appeared to listen. But she was really just pretending and was waiting for Hitomi to return.
Thirty minutes have passed but Hitomi still wasn’t back. Rika was beginning to be impatient. Ayaka noticed Rika fidgeting in her seat looking for Hitomi. Mai suddenly tapped Rika on the shoulder. “You can look for her around here if you like…” Rika shook her head. But she kept on looking around until she saw Hitomi in the bar surrounded by several girls who looked like models. The three saw the scene too. Ayaka and Mai were used to this. Business follows Hitomi wherever she went.
They noticed jealous look on Rika’s face. “You don’t have to stay with us the whole time… have fun… if you want, flirt around too…” The three laughed out loud. Come on, Rika, teach her a lesson.
To their surprise, Rika did stand up. She took her glass of martini and went to the bar. She sat on a vacant seat and took a sip. It didn’t take a second for guys to start to checking her out. Still being cautious, she did not speak to them. When asked for her name, she just wrote it down and handed them a torn page from her note pad. She didn’t entertain anymore questions.
Hitomi was still surrounded by the girls, who turned out to be hopeful models hoping to get a modeling contract with Y fashion. The whole ordeal was annoying. She wanted to spend the night with Rika but here she is, stuck with these girls.
Looking around for anything else to look at other than the girls around her, Hitomi quickly notices Rika at the bar. She noticed a group of guys at the table looking at Rika like vultures. Hitomi suddenly flared up in jealousy when a guy sat down beside Rika attempting to start a conversation but was relieved when Rika ignored him. Rika suddenly stood up and started to walk away to the dance floor. But the guy seemed persistent.
From where Hitomi was standing, she saw the guy’s expression. He seemed angry for being turned down. He followed Rika as she walked through the crowd. Hitomi stood up and left the girls, without excusing herself.
The guy had an evil smirk on his face, having thought of a way to get back at the girl who just turned him down.
