Hitomi cursed under her breath as she limped on the sidewalk. "Why the hell did I leave Ayaka's place before the painkillers wore off?!"

The pain was excruciating and the task of walking made it worse. Every step made her cringe as her leg muscles felt like they were twisting. She held on to the concrete barriers lining the sidewalks as she took a step after the other. She wanted to slap herself for being careless. She left her medications on Ayaka's kitchen counter.

ngaaawwwwz... from that what I can say is... 'Baka baka baka~'  :sweatdrop:

"Oi... what's with you?" Shark entered the common room, still a bit sleepy.

"The captain wants me to get her car again..."

"Then, why don't you?"

"It's impounded by the police, damnit!"

"So you're gonna steal it from them, huh?"

"What else can I do about that?"

"Stealing from the police... sounds like fun..."

"Why don't YOU do it? I'm not gonna get myself deported from here just to be her valet!"
Sounds like fun indeed.  :roll:

"Hey~ keep your cool... I'll do it..." Mako rubbed her hands eagerly. "I better get a move on!"
Uhh... Yay?  XD

As someone who has gone through the experience of actually NEEDING painkillers...yeah, not a smart move on Yossi's part. Even dumber would be if she walked out of there without taking the rest of the painkillers with her (which I'm suspecting she did).  :sweatdrop:

She reached into her pocket and retrieved her phone.

...

"Ayaka... please bring my medications to the office..."
I knew it...:doh:

Quote
"Okay... Where are you?"

"On the way home..."

"Do you want us to drive over to pick you up?"

"Nah... I'll drive my... ... O SHIT, MY CAR!!!"
NOW she realizes. Granted she's been a little distracted as of late...still though.  :ph43r:

Quote
Right after hanging up, she dialed the Eyes up again.

"Oi, get my car..."

It was Mars who picked up. "Uh, where is it, Captain?"

"I don't know. Find it."
If only we all had a secret team of "agents" that we could call up to find shit that we'd lost.  8)

Quote
Did you do some traffic violation? It's at the impounding place thing..."

"Get it there for me. I need it this morning. 8:30."

"But--"

*click*

Mars looked down at her watch. It was almost 7:00.  "What the hell does she want me to do, steal the car from the police?!"

"Oi... what's with you?" Shark entered the common room, still a bit sleepy.

"The captain wants me to get her car again..."

"Then, why don't you?"

"It's impounded by the police, damnit!"
Ah, the joys of being at the beck and call of your boss. :lol:

THIS I wanna see.  :twothumbs

However, at the risk of sounding anti-climactic, couldn't they just go down there and pay the fine to get the car back. I'm sure that the RP police wouldn't have a problem with letting them take it if all the *cough cough** "interest" and "impound fees" were paid as well *cough cough*.

 :kneelbow: :kneelbow: :kneelbow: So many updates in such a short time.  First off I would like to say I am sorry for not commenting as much as I should, because this is by far the story I look forward to the most on this thread.  No matter what I wanted you to know that I was still hear and am still reading.

"Rika..." Hitomi said as she turned over to the left side, the side Mai was on.

Mai pulled up the blanket before lying down beside Hitomi. "Man, she must be really upset... She's completing our sentences in her sleep... You think we'll find her?"

"I sure hope so... I don't know what's gonna happen to our Yoshiko if we don't..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  :(~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
:fainted: I know it must be tough for yossi, but I am glad that she has Mai and Ayaka.
Where is home?
She turned to the side where her eyes met the green plywood wall.
To-san... why did you have to leave me in a situation like this? Why did you let me get to this place? Why did you let me meet her like this? Why did you leave me to be hurting like this alone?
 She walked to the small window and looked out. There were already stars shining in the sky. Shining in the dark. The dark is the only place to shine.
==
It was beautiful but lonely. Miles away. A million miles away from each other. That's what it is  to be a star. To be alone in a cold dark space.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  :cry: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-insane moment- EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE MILLIONS OF MILES APART THEY ARE STILL CONNECTED! NO MATTER HOW FAR APART YOU ARE, RIKA'S LOVE WILL GUIDE YOU TO HER, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LOOK FOR A TINY GLIMMER!!! -moment over-

The Eyes
Coolest organization ever!

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miki took her seat by the breakfast table beside Aya, across Aya's mother, Fujiko.

"Good morning, auntie" She greeted with a smile.

"Good morning, Miki dear. How have you and Ayaya been? You know my little girl never tells me everything going on..."

A huge grin spread across Miki's lips as an agitated look appeared on Aya's. "Not much, really... I heard there were just something going on in Manila... I don't really know much about it since your dear daughter doesn't tell me everything either."

"Oh, I have heard about that... How is Hitomi?" She casually asked as she sipped her tea.

Aya put the fork that she was holding down. "The latest that I've heard is that well she got seriously injured for some kidnapping incident and well, Ishikawa Rika, her personal assistant and a new inverstor in the company has gone missing..."

"Rikacchi?" Fujiko placed the cup on the coaster in front of her. "Hasn't she been missing for awhile? How'd she manage towork for Yoshizawa? I never thought I'd hear of something like that!"

Aya was quite surprised by the reaction of her mother. "Uh... Ma, you know of her?"

"What do you mean, do I know of her? I know her! That girl and her sisters used to come over here and play with you, remember?"

"What?! I certainly don't remember anything about that!"

"She and her papa used to come here often... As far as I can remember, her mama would often bake you some cookies to eat... you used to eat a lot then..." Fujiko smiled from the nostalgia. "She was a sweet girl then too... a good pianist if I recall... you would've been a good musician too if your father didn't pull you into business."

"Ma, that was just for fun... a hobby..."

"But you know I would've preferred that you made a career of something you enjoyed rather than something your father taught you to enjoy..."

"No wonder you left him...'

"And I'm quite glad I did... That father of yours--"

"Uhm, auntie, let's not talk about unpleasant things" Miki butted in. "I just noticed that rose brooch on your collar... Is it new?"

"Ah, didn't you know, my Ayaya gave it to me! Isn't it perfect? My baby never forgets her mama!" The older woman reached across the table and pinched Aya's cheek. "Still so cute"

"Ma~" Ayaya tried to pull away, quite embarassed but failed. "I'm not a baby anymore!"

"Oh, yes you are! Isn't she, Miki?"

Miki awkwardly laughed it off as she drank her coffee. "Anyway, we will be flying to Manila next week... Do you want to join us?"

"Oh, I would love to... but I have some things to attend to... I'll try some other time... I heard the beaches there are just fantastic"

"They are... sometimes I wonder why Aya doesn't want to move there..."

"Well, it is better for her and Hitomi to be away from each othe--" Fujiko stopped as if the words she just uttered were not meant to be said. She paused for a few moments, composing herself."... If you two move there, your father will be lurking around you a lot... Manila has become a Yoshizawa turf... and you know it won't be good for all the businesses if your father comes in contact with anything Yoshizawa.

Look what the cat dragged in... MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~! Well actually dragged her toy mouse in so I'd play fetch with her, but I'm too busy commenting for you to do so XD

Naw, I love how Yossy & Rika are looking up at the same sky, thinking the same thing & they don't even know it, total fate right there :heart: Shows that no matter how far you travel, love still remains and you'll always be connected :wub:
For some reason I don't feel like Yossy is coping very well... On one hand she's completely down & lost without Rika but yet she still seems kinda void of real emotion about the whole situation, kinda like it seems surreal... and when people don't cope it worries me... but this is probably my own imagination and its just Yossy having faith in The Eyes :oops:

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW morning chitchat at the breakfast table between GAM & Ayaya-mummy  :gmon twirl:I feel sorry for Aya though coz it totally seems like she would be ganged up on a lot by the two women in her life XD Evil (sexy) Mikitty :heart:
Some very interesting information leaked at that important breakfast 'meeting' though... and once again the plot thickens... EXCITING! :w00t:

"Good morning, Miki dear. How have you and Ayaya been?
Wait...did Miki spend the night, or is Aya's mom just visiting? :D

Quote
A huge grin spread across Miki's lips as an agitated look appeared on Aya's. "Not much, really... I heard there were just something going on in Manila... I don't really know much about it since your dear daughter doesn't tell me everything either."

"Oh, I have heard about that... How is Hitomi?" She casually asked as she sipped her tea.
Ah, so Aya's mom knows Yossi as well? It's probably through the business as Aya's dad and Jin undoubtedly had dealings before.

Quote
"The latest that I've heard is that well she got seriously injured for some kidnapping incident and well, Ishikawa Rika, her personal assistant and a new inverstor in the company has gone missing..."

"Rikacchi?" Fujiko placed the cup on the coaster in front of her. "Hasn't she been missing for awhile? How'd she manage towork for Yoshizawa? I never thought I'd hear of something like that!"

Aya was quite surprised by the reaction of her mother. "Uh... Ma, you know of her?"
Eh? Aya's mom knows Rika?

Actually, when you think back (again) to the business side of things, it's not really that surprising. Rika's dad (for obvious reasons) knew Jin, so it's definitely plausible that he and Aya's parents would have also met at some point.

Quote
"What do you mean, do I know of her? I know her! That girl and her sisters used to come over here and play with you, remember?"

"What?! I certainly don't remember anything about that!"

"She was a sweet girl then too... a good pianist if I recall... you would've been a good musician too if your father didn't pull you into business."
Whoa...that's an interesting twist. Wonder if Rika remembers any of this? I don't recall Yossi ever mentioning the Matsuura name (or Aya's in particular) when Rika was around, so if she did remember there's no way she would have known that they were still doing business together.

Quote
"Ma, that was just for fun... a hobby..."

"But you know I would've preferred that you made a career of something you enjoyed rather than something your father taught you to enjoy..."

"No wonder you left him...'

Ummmm.....ummmmmm....

"Ma~" Ayaya tried to pull away, quite embarassed but failed. "I'm not a baby anymore!"
Maybe not, but she IS right about Aya's still being uber-cute. Miki-sama can definitely attest to that. :wub:
Incidentally, does "Ma" know about Aya and Miki?

Quote
"Anyway, we will be flying to Manila next week... Do you want to join us?"

"Oh, I would love to... but I have some things to attend to... I'll try some other time... I heard the beaches there are just fantastic"
Depending on where you go...sand whiter than your teeth and water clearer than what's in your bottle of Evian.  :twothumbs

Quote
"They are... sometimes I wonder why Aya doesn't want to move there..."

"Well, it is better for her and Hitomi to be away from each othe--" Fujiko stopped as if the words she just uttered were not meant to be said. She paused for a few moments, composing herself."
Aya and Yossi? Why would there be a problem there? It was Miki that used to date Yossi, not Aya. :?

And from their convos so far in the story, it would appear that even if they're not BFF's, Aya and Yossi get along pretty well, at least on a professional level.

Quote
If you two move there, your father will be lurking around you a lot... Manila has become a Yoshizawa turf... and you know it won't be good for all the businesses if your father comes in contact with anything Yoshizawa.
Wait a sec...so Aya or Miki's dad is in RP?  Or is it that where AyaMiki go, dad would eventually wind up following?

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rika awoke to a noisy racket outside her room. It seems that the landlord and his wife were fighting again much like how they did so every morning five years ago. Some people never change even after five years.

She reached under her pillow again for the envelope. This time, she did not even look at the contents. She just grasped a couple of bills and pulled them out without even counting. She did not need to be reminded of the choices she had to make in such a short period of time. She did not have to remind herself that she had already made a choice.

She couldn't bear to look at the envelope, thinking about what Hitomi might say about all this. Rika was certain Jin would tell Hitomi about the money as the reason for her leaving like that. He looked so persistent in giving her the envelope with nothing in exchange except for her absence in her To-chan's life.

She put the envelope back under the pillow, not caring if the someone might sneak into the room to steal the thing. If someone steals it, there will be less choices for her to make. And one choice can be unmade.

She then picked up her shoe beside the bed and pulled out her wallet from inside, the wallet Yossui had given her with all the money intact and unspent. She inspected the small pockets in the wallet and slipped the money in her hand in an empty one.

She took the wallet with her to the bathroom along with a towel and a fresh change of clothes.

She switched on the light and  locked the door.

A small incandescent bulb lit up the small bathroom.

Rika picked up the sachets of shampoo that hung on the pipe to the faucet. She carefully tore the corner of the sachet.  At seeing that the tear was big enough for the shampoo to come out, she laid the sachet with even more care on the sink, beside the wallet and the other stuff she had with her.

She turned the faucet on and watched the large pail of water fill up. Sometimes this take awhile so she wanted to be sure that there was enough water before she undressed.

Compared to before, the water service here now was decent, with the faucet constantly flowing with water. Rika, contented with the amount of water accumulated in the pail, slipped off her pants and ther rest of her garments before taking the shampoo sachet with her to the actual bathing area.

==

Shark surveyed the perimeter. The police look as incompetent as usual. There were, in fact, to few of them around. Those that she could see from where she stood where asleep or, at least, half asleep.

She cracked her knuckles as a smile appeared on her face. "Man, that car is gonna be at the captain's by 8!"

not yet, JFC... the flight's next week ^^

there's something that no one has even mentioned yet (i'm quite surprised by this)... or maybe that one person who notices chose not to speak... again ^^

it is part of the plan, dear... it is...  :theking

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hitomi dragged herself out of the lift behind the cane she bought from a peddler outside. Filipinos sell the strangest things on the streets.

A soon as she had completely stepped out a familiar voice, one she didn't need to hear at this moment, greeted her.

"Hola, Hicchan..."

"Hola your face, old man..." She glared at him but he stood steadfast, with a smile on his lips.

"Is that the way to greet your father now?"

"It is. Damn you." She continued to her condo unit, wincing at every step.

"Seriously, canes do not suit you at all..." He extended his arm to her, offering assistance.

She ignored the offer and dug her pocket for the key.

"... Anyway... where's that lady friend of yours? Shouldn't she be helping you? Ishikawa Rika?" He asked with a chuckle, barely able to contain his laughter.

At hearing Rika's name, the key was forgotten. "Shouldn't I be asking you that?! You should be grateful I'm not on my 100% today, Jin!"

"Ah, yes... But honestly, I don't know... I thought she would still come here... I could trust her word after all..."

"Her word?"

"I thought she would take the money, get a refund for the ticket and still stay here... hmmm... she's not as cunning as I thought..."

"Ticket? What ticket?"

"Oh, she's going to be flying back home next week... I've already booked her a flight."

"She can't leave!"

"Yes, she can..."

"I have all her documents here! There's no way they're gonna let her through!"

"Have them impose a flight ban on Ishikawa Rika... I'm pretty sure she knows you can do that... But if what I heard was right, she can make a way around your little bans... I hear she's a pretty smart girl... and she looked like she had the streetsmarts of this country..."

"What did you tell her?! Why did she leave me!?"

"Ten thousand pesos, a flight back to Japan, and all the resources she needs to start anew there..." Jin leaned against the wall. "And some truths she had to know... ... I'm quite surprised you were careless enough to let her know about Pubcom..."

"I had nothing to do with that!"

"Sure... ... let me remind you... when did I place Pubcom under your care? About four years ago, ne? When I gave the company to you, everything had been ironed out, no loose ends, no hanging transanctions, no nothing... Imagine the chaos that would have followed had the merger pushed through..." Jin leaned down close to Hitomi's ear. "... the merger... did not push through... because of... ... ...  you"

"You cancelled the merger! I could've handled the "chaos"! YOU set that up!"

"I may have... I really cannot remember... but as far as the papers are concerned, YOU are responsible! ... and it took that girl forever to know that she had been sleeping with her father's murderer"

Hitomi dragged herself out of the lift behind the cane she bought from a peddler outside. Filipinos sell the strangest things on the streets.
The interesting thing is though, how often the "strangest" thing being sold is actually useful. I mean, when else would Yossi need a cane? :P

"Truths"? As if anything Jin says can be believed to be true. :angry:

Oh jeez, Jin really wasn't playing around. All the resources to start anew... :( And now she thinks Yossy's the one who killed her father. :sweatdrop:

we don't really know what jin actually told rika, right?

i mean, it doesn't look like rika's angry at yossui, right?

he could have told them totally different things, right?

i can be right, right?

If you're asking, "Is Jin lying to Yossi about what he told Rika?", theoretically you could be correct. However, given Jin's character as it's been portrayed so far in the fic, I'd say it's not likely that he's lying. He's a master manipulater of people, so something like this would be something he could easily do.
