The question is, how and when did you become a Maki fan?

Goes way back to 1999......
I do know Momusu but at that time I am not a fan.
Watching the PV, the girl that caught my eye is gocchin.
And she was the only face I can remember at the end of the PV.
It is LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT... <3

The Wink finished me off.

I become a Goma Wota...the rest is history.

GO (5) TOU (10) it´s one way how you can read it in japanese

Yes. The TO comes from To-ka (十日)
So 510 =　後藤
And 後藤の日is on May 10th each year.

And this idea was created by Yuchan (Nakazawa Yuko). ^^

I had a similar experience to romi.

I was staying in Japan for a bit back in 1999 (wow, I was 10 years old x____x) and was watching some TV, hoping to catch Sailormoon, lol! but, then the "Love Machine" PV was starting on some channel and I decided to watch it out of curiousity. I fell in love with the song, the video and of course...MAKI!

she stood out to me in terms of appearance first of all, then vocally.

and at the ending, that infamous wink stole my soul forever as well!

now, excuse me. I'm going to re-watch my Maki Alo-Hello DVD now

My addiction started in year 2000.....

I was watching the 2000.09.30 [PaPaPaPa Puffy Special - Female Music Festival], there was this group with many girls...from older (cough...Yuko) and young...very young kids...(aibon and nono)...I had no clue who they are, let alone the faces BUT I was attracted to this girl in blue....

VERY VERY pretty....the face is unforgettable......YES! It was love at first sight!
the day after I was using my office hours (my boss should have fired me) to search for her info...plenty of her wota sites....read about her in ASAYAN....started to beg her wotas to let me download her audition...started to rent (expensive) Japanese TV programs in VHS tapes, anything that has "Morning Musume"....

my addiction became unstoppable....
switched from pathetic 56K to DSL so I can download her files faster....bought bigger hard drive....then CD-Writer....new PC so I can watch her HQ files...DVD-Writer..... after all these years I'm still in love with this girl named Goto Maki

I think I first noticed her in the Koi no Dance Site PV. Or maybe it was Baby! Koi ni Knockout. I forget.

The main reason I liked her was that I could easily identify her from one PV to the next, while everyone else seemed to look different from themselves every time. She had an unusual face shape. A good face shape.

I eventually noticed that she was also much more talented than those around her. I learned to like them too, once I could recognize them, but Maki remained the Makiest.

She still is.

i love maki when i heard Love machine i like one voice which sing a lot in this song and after that i knew that MOMUSU will show their live in my country ( asia 2000 music festival) when i see real maki it made me crazy her more and more 55+

I first saw Maki when I downloaded her 'Sayonara Tomodachi' PV. That was it for me, after that I tried to find as much Maki stuff as I could. Around that same time, I downloaded a clip of one of the karaoke games. That time, I also noticed Maki, but I didn't know it was the same girl, cause she had the brown shoulder length hair. I was surprised when I went back to the same clip a while later and realized that it was Maki.

I remember I bought a magazine with L'Arc~en~Ciel in the cover, then it was also an article about Morning Musume and I saw her name Goto Maki... actually it was the only name I could remember for some time since it's short and easily memorizable... then some time later and I don't remember how I got it, I saw the full version of Love Machine PV... and OMG! Words just can't express it! That girl with blond hair became a Goddess since then.

Who were the rest? Who cared! I had just eyes for Maki!

I like Maki for the first time when I borrowed "Makking Gold 1" CD from my friend. At first, I think her music was not something interesting, butwhen I listened to it more often, I was looking forward for each of her records

It wasn't love at first sight.

In fact when I started likin all H!P idea I knew her but she didn't made me like her. She was just the soloist that Momusu famous.

It was when I saw R.P.G movie that I was completely moved by her role and the way she portrayed it. After that I feel very attracted to Maki and started searching things about her.

Now I'm a completely Maki-lover

My love was gradual...I did turn my head when I saw Maki in Love Machine.

but it was her continuing role as the cute officer in "I WISH" ... the sexy squealing in "Ai no Bakayarou" and BLA-OW! her first PB got me hooked. just some of the best photos (STILL) for a Hello! Project project.

As for the music, her instant front singer status was accepted. She made all Morning Musume songs hers, and her solo career has been nothing short of spectacular. Gocchin has that "IT" factor that few have. She connects to her audience - not that fake "YEAH YEAH C'mon" thing - she actually sits down and yaps with em. Gocchin still is in my mind THE best singer and among the top dancers.

I think it was when I saw romi's ava in another forum, I later found out it was Maki

, this was over a year ago.. I then managed to listen to one of her songs and immediately liked it, but still I never took her up, as SPEED was my 24/7..

Then I saw someone else's ava in JPM with the pic on my sig, and went looking for that pic, along the way, I found more beautiful shots, and that's where it officially started (Roughly in Dec 05)..
