It appears there is a Maki Goto Mail Magazine. I think you can subscribe to it here.

In other news there are rumors floating around 2ch that Maki will release a single on 3/31.

I didn't really plan to share my experiences of this as it was kind of personal, but I feel I must mention something after hearing the news.

I had the wonderful chance of meeting Goto's mom when I was in Japan during my work through a teaching program. It was only that one time, but it was a time I will never forget. We were foreigners in that little izakaya and it was getting pretty late, but we didn't want to leave as we were having too much fun chatting with the locals. When we realized that we might not make it back to the train station in time for the last train, Goto's mom offered to take us by car back to the station so we could make it. I was surprised on how she just readily offered her kindness to us and I am eternally grateful for it. She was a kind and awesome mom who welcomed anyone with open arms that walked through that door. I'll never forget that kindness. Thank you, Tokiko-san.

May you rest in peace.

WHOA. When I read the tragic news, and how she passed it was like "Damn."

Then y'all came across her in a personal way. Just makes this even more shocking, such kindness to all her customers! Thanks for sharing that experience, Fen.

I can only imagine how crushed she is right now over this. It's no surprise she was really close to her mom, and she lost her dad when she was very young too.

Man, this is horrible news.

Gocchin hasn't had an easy life and this DEFINITELY doesn't make it easier.

This is fucking horrible. My heart goes out for Maki as well as her sister and everyone else.

I still remember many moments where other HP members mentioned how cool and funny Tokiko was. Of course I'll never forget on Asayan when Maki told her she made the audition and Tokiko was all "that's great!", as well as the other moments they showed them as a family.

Here's another cute little little clip I always loved where Maki and Melon Kinenbi mention some funny stories about Tokiko.

I checked the updates to the Hello!Online news post and the forums there, and I'm starting to think it may have been a suicide.

Apparently she's been under some heavy stress after Yuki's legal troubles came to a head.

As I'm still fairly new to the world of Hello Project, all I could think at first was "Ouch, that sucks," but after reading the personal anecdotes, updates, and further analysis I definitely feel for the remainder of the family. I hope they can find ways to stay strong and gather support from friends.

Not shown in above linked video, but Morning Musume OG's Nakazawa Yuko, Iida Kaori, Abe Natsumi, Yasuda Kei, Ishikawa Rika, Yoshizawa Hitomi and Tsuji Nozomi also attended the funeral wake.

I had no idea that Maki wrote "with..." for her mom. It's my favorite track from Sweet Black and now it's got this brand new context attached to it.
