For anyone NOT familiar with the sumo reference, it's in regards to two of the most famous sumo wrestlers in Japan's recent history: Akebono and Konishki (both of which, funny enough, originally hail from Hawaii).

I liked the way Yossi and Miki were teasing each other.

Yossi's comment about how the magician is a worse artist than Miki. Later Miki teases Yossi's answer to the magic question; something like "That's why you never get to eat"

I love mikis sardonic commentary every week!

Leadersans comment was brilliant too. But that it was an ill defined four legged animal may have been part of the key to the trick.

They're a manzai group from Osaka (aren't they all?) called Nankai Candies. The debuted at M-1 this year which is an annually televised manzai competition consisting of 3000 entrants and a grand prize of $100k. Plenty of famous manzai groups have rocketed to fame from M-1, 99 of Asayan and Mecha Ike fame being one that comes readily to mind. Nankai Candies won 2nd place this year and are the first male-female manzai duo to make it to the finals (9 competitors). Their schitck defies description but I'll try nonetheless. All manzai skits have to have some sort of setting and the basic Nankai Candies skit involves Yamazato (the male tsukkomi) attempting to get Shizu-chan (the female boke) to do something that usually ends up being a ridiculous, jolting, and almost punk rock-esque social commentary. The skit that won them 2nd place involved them interacting with host Waka Inoue (click here for more info/pics) in an attempt to increase Shizu-chan's sex appeal. Shizu-chan's deadpan style is delivered in an uncharacteristically (for manzai) slow manner that accentuates the ridiculousness of the situation. It's good to see that they're going to be on haromoni, they're a fantastic group.

I liked Peru, she had some pretty neat tricks...but, I probably only really like her because she's a girl and it's a change to the whole Magic Restaurant

her comments in the sumo game were funny too.

Yossi shaking her ass in triumph during the sumo game = priceless

I love how Koharu spazzed herself off the platform. I still find her adorable though, haha.
