It's one of those that doesn't cache anywhere so if I view it again I can see it downloading the data again. I think the only way to make a copy of this sort of streaming vid is some sort of capture program that records the image from your screen.

Ok, I found something that works.
http://www.wisdom-soft.com/downloads/downloadfiles.htm
Scroll down to "Free Programs" and get "AutoScreenRecorder 3".

Set it to record as divx. There's no bitrate setting so open virtualdub and go as if you're going to encode a video and set the divx setting in there then close vdub and Screen Recorder will use that bitrate.

When you start to record you have to drag your mouse to select which part of the screen to record.
Click the "HANGRY&ANGRY @Chibi Japan Expo Episode 2" link on this page: http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=1004191790&blogId=519222905
to open it up on a new page because it's 640x360. I can't put the link here because it just auto-embeds in the small size.

Drag your mouse carefully and select the area to record, on that page the video plays at 640x360 which is perfect, make sure you get that exact size or it'll be nonstandard and probably won't play on some players. It starts playing too soon before you're ready so once you've got the window the right size restart the vid from the beginning then chop the excess off afterwards with vdub.

Someone else has to record it though. I've done the groundwork and it works but frame rate was poor because my processor isn't good enough.

I tried to encode it, even tho i prolly got a faster comp it still kinda looks choppy, comes out at 125 MB

Hmmm. I am seriously considering the Feb shows now. Partially because I wasn't able to enjoy the Paris show because I worked it as press, and also I'm starting to worry that other 2010 dates might be during the dozen or so days that I can't go.

I should know by the end of this month if I'm going.

Thanks! How the heck did you get that? When I tried the other day Myspace seemed to have changed their streaming method making it impossible to get the flv file.

Oh, and all this speculation of future European dates. At Sakurakon they performed Lady Madonna complete with its' "Paris Paris Paris" and that was way before the Paris show was announced, so since they have songs as a "Crash Berlin version" would anyone care to take a guess?
