So apparently I went to the city yesterday and ended up getting After School's 3rd Single BANG! Do not regret. One bit. SO MUCH EYECANDY!!! Not sure whether it's a good or a bad thing, but I can perv on any other group more than ASS right now. So freaking hot!!!

I don't get it! How is Gahee turning 30!? She looks 23 in my eyes :inlove: They're all so leggy. Will treasure every part of this After School 3rd single. I got some random cumulative student record card of one of the members. Not a clue who she is or what it says, except that she was born in 1992 (YEAH 92ers!), is 168cm tall and 46 kilograms...

You know what, lets have some old school 2Yoo love for UEE's birthday  This is why I was super excited when they announced UEE's debut, and it took me forever to get out of the habit of calling her Yoojin coz I was already use to it XD Actually, her addition is why I started paying more attention to ASS, and of course the epicness of Diva :D

Those are seriously like the shittiest drums ever. No bounce in them at all or else AS wouldn't be needing to crank down on them so hard with their arms to get the parts at the beginning. Every time I've heard them without the back tracks either (in the dressing room, when Yuri played on one in the MC today) it also sounds all super-shitty thuds.  :smhid
Every time they get to the section around 0:49 I can tell that the original choreo would have had a rack in front of them to bang on.

Bang is still a rather boring song, but it does translate so well live. AS always brings an energy and attitude to make things fun, and you can tell that the audience is drawn in by it as well. (Still disgruntled about their win over SNSD at SDB though... :nervous)

Nah, they deserved to win (unlike the two times before where SNSD clobbered the other group but lost the score) SNSD had maybe a technically more challenging and clean routine but AS did like a whole production. :thumbup

and I'm pretty sure they just randomly pick winners on SDB to be honest.

I'm guessing the drum routine is meant to be more or less a cool looking dance rather than actual drum performance. To me it seems like what they are doing on the drums doesn't seem to match with the back track at all. But it's pretty awesome to be honest, with all the stick tricks and what not.

Am I the only one that likes how they do interlude's with their single promotions rather than just doing two songs like other groups?  I mean first Play Girlz and now Let's do it. It's really smart IMO.

^ Gahee adlib on LDI!  HBIC in da house! Didn't watch Bang.

Yeah, I know they deserved their win, but I am one of those people that prefers technique to gimmick.  Well, to a point anyway, since I am loving Bang's concept way more than RDR's.  XD
You can't hear the snare at all on the LDI track except at the beginning and end. Everything else is covered up by the quad-toms, like the first "groove section" the backstickings are covered up by the rimshots on the quad-toms which threw me off. But we did see Gahee and Jungah and their teacher recording the snare part (on a real snare ), so I think that part is accurate.

The interlude thing I think has more to do with their 'rookie' status, like how f(x) was doing that intro dance for Lachata.

I'm a bit confused with what you mean by interlude?
They've only had 4 singles so far which means just half have had some kinda intro type songs in them.

AFAIK, intro dances don't have anything to do with 'rookie' status. After School aren't really considered rookies anymore either, it's already been a year since their debut. Special performances such as intro dances, teaser clips before perfs, doing two songs, doing the full song of a really long song, etc. are usually limited to only comeback perfs, goodbye stages, and special shows, unless they changed it in recent years. Some performers even record their same song twice in different outfits to give a cool effect (BEG, Kara in recent memory). In the end, I think it all just depends on the companies budget to promote and the artist. (As for T-ara on M! Countdown, M-net is their label so the company can do whatever they want on their own show XD) For example, Rain is on his comeback right now and is doing two almost-4 minute songs  That can't be cheap.

On a side note, LDI! is now my Nike+ power song  :twothumbs

I guess I don't know what to call it. Like they do some kind of performance that's a little different. Little image building things.

I thought I remembered them doing a little synchronized swimming type of dance thing with the early Diva stages too(?). I didn't really see much of the Because of You promotions so I don't remember if they did anything there.

Labels don't actually have to pay to go on music programs do they? Maybe the outfits and stages but I always thought it was more of a leverage thing since they probably want the high profile artists on the shows, so they get extra privileges.
