Lol yeah, that was the list of hotels AX put up before. You get a free reserved ticket with that, but it's still not worth it IMO. My rate at O Hotel was $106/night. Just gonna stay there for 3 nights for the con, then most likely crash at a friend/relative's place about 15 min drive away on off-con days. (That and I have to make a 6 hour drive back up north to make it back to work on Monday if I can't take that extra day off.

)

Oh hells yeah, meeting can be easily arranged, limit.

I have a Mitsuwa and Kinokuniya 7 minutes away from where I live up here. Unfortunately, it makes things less exciting.

Last time I was in Little Tokyo I ate at Izakaya Honda-ya, place was good.

oh wow it closed recently? didn't know so scratch that.

And yeah have bunch of more local places so don't really go up there. There is also a Marukai there I think, which is another Japanese market.

^I think I might have been to that izakaya once, it seemed pretty nice from the little food I had. But Japanese food and a big mug of beer is good in general. Went to a karaoke place in the same building after. Lots of places having been closing there in the past year, so that's another reason why it's not that great.

While walking around the first day last year, my friends found a 4 day badge on the ground and I used it for the rest of the con xD So I might even just go the one day that they're going to do their thing and just borrow a friend's badge for the panel or whatever. It depends though.

Driving back and forth is pretty rough though. Where are you going to be driving from?

Anyways, there'd better be a jpH!P kickback one night! You know it's inevitable =D

Hotel and all is booked for me~ 8D I'm staying with my 2 girls from mm-bbs~ =9 Now I just need a plane ticket. I have kayak sending me daily alerts and it keeps just being $223, I wanna see if it will go sliiiightly cheaper~

I found a badge once, but it was a one day, so I left it on the floor.

I've got a 4 day ticket, seeing as how I plan to be there each day (and maybe find more jphip/H!O people during the off time). It's summer, so I've nothing better to do.

I'm being driven by my dad/a friend's dad/aunt (different combination) each day. I've been too lazy and haven't taken driver's ed yet... *cough* Not like my parents would let me drive up to L.A. anyway. Hell, if they found out I go on jphip, they'd flip!

No, you don't need to call a number to confirm your tickets. Are you referring to the reserved tickets you purchase during pre-registration?

There is a confirmation page with a barcode that you need to print. If you didn't get to print it out when you processed your reg the first time around, they should have sent you an e-mail with this confirmation. You need this page and barcode to pick up your badge at the convention (and your ticket), like I mentioned in an earlier post. The confirmation e-mail also tells you:

The only official announcement AX made was about their concert time. Friday July 3rd, 12:30-3:00PM. When/what day they will actually arrive at the convention, no one currently knows for sure.

AX is not using the Nokia Theatre for any of their events this year. It's been announced over at the forum. I believe they will be setting up the events in one of their bigger halls in the LACC, but it hasn't been officially announced which one they will use.

Kinda sucks that they aren't using the Nokia theater, but that's okay. Just as long as we get to see the girls.

I seriously think I might just faint when I go.

I plan on making my own t-shirt if I'm lucky. Orange with (hopefully) one of Eri's turtle drawings (I'll find one dammit) or the turtle from Hello Morning. Somewhere on the shirt, pokepokepuu will be found too. :ph34r:

I wonder if I'd make in into the autographing session - that is, if they have one. I'll probably order a calendar or something for them all to sign.

I don't often buy H!P goods because I can't do it without my parents... Peh. "¬¬ (I'd totally want Eri to sign my copy of Hatachi, but then I'd feel bad because I don't own any of the other girls' PBs...)

I'm gonna try and be there early on Day 0 so that I can get my badge and concert ticket ASAP. Now I'm wondering HOW EARLY I should get there. Despite going to the con for 3 years, I have never once been to day 0.

I'd say you should probably get there as early as possible on Day 0 unless ticketing schedules say otherwise.

If you want the premium tickets, then it'd be a good idea. They will be handed out in the order they are picked up.

You should only have one barcode. They resent the e-mail because they were having issues with their reg system, so everyone got a template the first time around.

Alright, I booked at the Mayfair for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights (7/2-7/5). Per everyone's recommendations here and a bit of the checking around I did, it definitely looked like the best option.

I wouldn't be averse to having the room to myself, but it has two beds, and if anyone would like to join me for those 3 nights for $40/night you're welcome to PM me.

It looked like a pretty darn good hotel, and would be a great deal at $40 IMO. I've been told I'm easy to get along with like that.

Pretty quiet and stuff lol. Anyway.

Still haven't booked my flight, but the best deals are likely still to come in the next month or two, so holding out a bit.

Nice to have the hotel squared away though.
