I don't know either of those guys with the JPH!P shirts in the wotagei. They weren't part of the main group of Hipsters. I do remember seeing them around the con, but I also saw tons of seemingly random people wearing the shirts.

There were mad number of people rocking our shirts. We made a very good profit, I think.

Ah, I saw a bunch of you hipsters around but I was a bit intimidated to ask who you were because I have not posted in this forum in a long time plus I've been out of the loop with MM since the end of last year. I'm more of a JPMer anyway. But I did manage to spot Sev who is not hard to find with that Kamei tattoo on his arm. I was the short Asian girl wearing an orange Eri concert shirt and wristband. But to those I did get to meet, so nice to meet you. I'm glad I'm not forgotten. haha Man, if I had just popped in here a few times I would've gotten one of your shirts. Those are awesome. Are they still for sale?

I think I actually saw you. I saw the elastic-girl on your shirt.

Wasn't sure if you remembered me or knew me or whatever so didn't bother introducing myself... haha

I think a lot of us have been out of the loop with MM and only really knew the songs during the Medley and Love Machine. haha

I've been pretty out of the loop. Sat at the concert with arun, and neither of us knew the songs they were doing, except the medley and Love Machine.

I saw Sev giving out glow sticks to you too, elastic-girl, but I don't think we know each other lol.

My friend and I hopped on the metro and took a bus to get to the airport...a feat we hadn't tried before... but arrived at the airport fairly early. There wasn't any obvious wota or USfans at the time...but we were trying to keep low key as to not arouse suspicion. Eventually we found some allies, and met people I've been wanting to meet all this week. Great stuff! We waited, unsure ofwhatwould happen...

Eventually we saw them... a line of 9 pretty girls in a row.. we decided to abandon our 2nd floor foodcourt seats for a position on the floor. Of course the girls were wearing their sunglasses and face masks... except for linlin it seems who stood out most with her sparkly trimed hat.

long wait... but awesome as we saw each one get through their check-in process. They started coming our way (to the security checkpoint) and we began our goodbyes! With some of the top rows waving their fans and tshirts, while many were trying to take pics and video.

With the translator nearby it was rather difficult for them to interact with us. Chun looked in our direction on the floor. But I hadn't noticed anything from Ai, Risa, and Eri. Reina might have looked our way. Aika was the most willng to look our way and seeing her fans wishing her off she smiled (through her mask it was still noticeable) and waved in our direction. The translator near the front of the line, Koha and Lin were waving at us without restraint.

After walking into the security check, an oddity happened...they had to come back out and go through again... they circle back...and after the translators wish them well and leave... they freely wave at people. They wave until they pass view... Lin gets held up a bit but all is well. Some of the wotas start the saikou chant... everyone gives their good byes and we are happy ^^.

Lots ofvideos around, its good stuff... totally worth getting upearly and taking a bus and a metro to and from there ^^.

^ sounds like they had an awesome goodbye. I hope they saw how much foreign fans love them, and will come back again for something.

^^ knowing me, that probably would happen...

limit was there, but don't think meow showed up. Unless she was in ninja mode or something.

Why even post this then? This obviously shows you're craving for attention by being all depressed and having to post unnecessary stuff about it. Listen to what others are trying to tell you. Grow up. If you can't get over whatever is bothering you, get some professional help man. Nothing is gonna change if every time something doesn't go your way you cry and back away.

Sometimes I wonder why I even post replies. If you want to leave, go ahead. Come back, when you're ready to face life.

Those who just want to read the MM part of the day go to the bold part.

I forgot to mention, that lady who was translating for MM most of the time was not a professional interpreter. You can tell by the way she translated things, and made her own stupid comments about what was being said. She seemed more like their manager or PR person, and was super annoying. I could tell during the panel, the real interpreter was probably getting annoyed at her too. She didn't understand many of the questions during the Q&A panel, with many of them being answered incorrectly. She also failed to translate many things that were said and kept butting in. Totally unprofessional and seemed like an attention whore. We didn't need her as an MC, and even more as an interpreter.

SITS you totally said perfectly what I was trying to get out. This woman was trying to be a part of the show. Translators are supossed to be like a seeing eye dog. Sure they are there, but their job is to provide assistance almost transparently, not make suggestions and be an annoying asshat. Seriously, she was just ANNOYING. Anyway, I'm saving the rest of the bitching for my blog and AX's forum. You don't need me to tell you AX was buttfucked. :)

Well, today was the last day of the con. Me and Rena went at about 10 or so to catch some pretty unknown group called C-zone perform in the exhibit hall again. We saw them yesterday and I got their autograph. They were SO SWEET! Today, I bought me and Rena a shirt just to give them a little more support. At this performnace, we got more up front, and the "Yume" girl kept looking at me and would smile. I probably turned red or something because she'd smile even harder after seeing my reaction. They were a lot of fun again today. I got to take a picture with them! Rena didn't want to but was nice enough to wait for me. The rest of the day, we just walked around the exhibit hall looking for random deals. Rena got a small Tofu plushy. It is SO CUTE and SOFT. I wish I had gotten one. I purchased a Transformers revoltech Convoy, white colored verson action figure and I found something that was like GOLD to me: cels from Mobile Police Patlabor. I bought four for only five dollars each. They are SO COOL. :D We had another 29 dollar hamburger at the LACC and then lounged around the hall until it closed. I was hoping to see C-zone one more time but they were packing up well before 3. Eventually AX staff with blowhorns started herding us out of there. As 3PM was near, me and Rena left before we were kicked out. We went and tried the ice cream booth near the exhibit hall and it was pretty awesome stuff. :) After we finished our fun, we went to the game room and wasted a few dollars on Guitar Freaks and those rip-off machines with the prizes. We left pretty quick though since it became VERY packed after the exhibit hall closed down. We went to the console gaming room since there was word that my favorite game ever Halo was being played, bu it was on two shitty TV's. Four player per screen on standard def? Yeeeeeah, we left. XD After that we went into the LP1 to watch the auction until the closing ceremonies began. They had some pretty cool items. I was shocked how high stuff went, though. If any of you were there, and I know some were as I saw hip shirts, I was the guy in the orange shirt who bid 250 for a Gundam 00 DVD box and 350 for the Morning Musume poster. I almost got that Gundam DVD. *shakes fist* The morning musume poster went for TWO GRAND. @__________@ Wow! The closing ceremonies themselve were okay. They started very late, no duh there. XD Morning Musume was NOT there, but they did have a video. It was pretty typical fanfare. They talked about how they had fun and would like to come back again. LinLin is so awesome. XD The other people were fun to see, even though I didn't know who a lot of them were. I'm sure a fan of those Gurren Lagann producers after seeing that movie, though! :) Also, no photography was allowed, so hopefully someone ninja taped MM's screening video. I didn't want to get kicked out. XD Me and Ayla played on pictochat on our DS's, which a lot of interesting things happened on at this con. I'll be posting a video of it to youtube in the coming weeks. And after everyone on stage said their piece, AX came to an end. Getting out of there was a nightmare. AX's inability to manage anything was visible right to the very last nanosecond. :smhid

Anyway, Rena is probably glaring at me wanting to go eat something, so this concludes my AX tales here in LA. I'll be writing blog posts in the coming weeks with pictures, video, the works, and I'll be sure to link if anyone cares to read more of my ramblings. I hope someone enjoyed reading what I've been blabbing on here. This was a great trip. Thank you Morning Musume for allowing us the chance to meet you. Thank you Tsunku for coming as well. Thank you HiPsters for having a warm, welcoming attitude and making this an awesome community event. And... even though they never got anything right, a thanks to AX for providing the ground it happened on. :P See you all at the next adventure, which my bruised bank account might not let me have for a while. XD See you guys around, hope everyone had their fun, take care.

And... ugh. I'm sorry if this is a bit rude, harsh, or mean, but CKD, ENOUGHHHHHHH. Stop being such a whiny bitch. BOO HOO you didn't get to see them. LOTS OF PEOPLE DIDN'T. If everyone who wanted to be here was, we'd fill up all of Los Angeles. If you can't just decide that it's not worth fuming over, do it to yourself on a blog and leave us out of it. That episode in the IRC was more than enough.

OMG OMG so sorry egirl-sama :kneelbow: I wanted to meet you and do the KnR meetup but like what's been said earlier, meow never showed up. That and been busy through the whole week lining up, walking/being driven everywhere, converting a certain someone over to jphip  :cool1: etc...all for MM of course.

Also I try to keep my identity hidden till the last possible moment so it's not like I'm someone you can easily point out. If you were in the Hello!Party, i was the one in the button shirt like the one going to be posted below, but blue instead of green...at the back of the room standing with the rest of the jphipsters near the door.

Speaking of identity, there's a lot of pics and footage of me with the gang now but fuck it...I'll be the one to reveal myself to all who weren't at AX:

Dear lollipopgirl,
Knowing that her and I would meet eventually, you'd kill us if we didn't get a pic together, so here...

Love,

For a lot of their efforts I think my mom/dad/uncle/kid analogy applies a lot... I mean almost directly the translator seems like a very strict mother while MM is around, she may act very nice in the big meetings but she's quite aggressive otherwise. So much so, it always seemed that MM was more open when she actually wasn't around (of course I wasn't in the good autograph sessions, but I'm almost sure it was because they were taping for a DVD).

I'm thinking a lot of the issue settles out between AX and UFA/H!P... for example... the problem with autograph sessions. The volunteer told us that one of the other GoH had stayed after signing as much as she could before they got kicked out of the 3rd floor rooms for the next GoH (it seems like each panel is given access up there for signatures). But then they wouldn't go over cause UFA does not go over time, so you can think of it as a pincer attack... AX attacks you on a technical structural level and UFA attacks you with their adherence to appearance schedules.

Sure the system could have been fixed for the last autograph session with a simple number queue, but I don't think UFA/JapanFiles was prepared for AX to be breathing down their throats about the lines. There is a sense of disappointment from so many people... but I think it was more success than failure. Why? well after all that fear that H!P would never come out here because of how difficult it was for them to manage coconuts, we got Morning Musume to come to the US, we impressed them with our numbers and our energy, and we were big enough to cause problems between papa AX and mama H!P...lol. If everyone keeps their attitudes up I'm sure you'll find that your experience was enjoyable as long as you had MM in it and enjoyed what you had for what it was, a yellow ticket was priority and not a guarantee, the guaranteed ticket was for an autograph and unfortunately nothing else. And MM regardless of H!P/UFA and AX wanted to provide more for us than we could get.

I was hesitant at first to go out there and meet everyone but I am glad to see so many of us are kind decent people out there in real life. A lot of people were being nice about their fandom, often asking about each others favorites, and listening when the time came to try to be organized about forming lines. Hello!Party was way better than I thought it might have been, I worried it would have just been miniclique forming between different forums and minigroups in forums... but everyone came out together... the wotagei performances were a sign of grand community and it was just dazzling to see people from all forums coming out to the hello party and doing their far share of wotagei. Fearing that we'd be kicked out or the guaranteed autograph event be cancelled, I wanted to help out... so many people felt disappointed, angry, and frustrated with the action from day 0-2 that we tried to keep everyone together for day 3, letting them know that the guy was patrolling around throwing people out of any line formation. And in the end most people I had talked with kept to the plan that tried to keep things clean.

I'm also glad my custom design shirt got some attention ^^, MM didn't notice it at all T_T which makes me a bit sad but I was able to express my creativity in a design that got noticed by all the forums and strangers alike.

Thank yous
-AX(though I doubt they read here) for taking that chance and hosting MM

-JapanFiles and JPOPHOUSE for providing merchandise, a place for us to see and get MM and Hangry gear, providing the means to guarantee an autograph, and being very open for our questions.

-H!P for coming and trying to do things here, of course even if nothing went smooth it couldn't be done without H!P

-The fans, I met so many of you guys out there... some I never learned your names but you guys were great... I'm happy for everyone who got any kind of joy out of the experience (especially those who had anything extra: meeting them arriving, seeing them in the halls, going to the good autograph session 1-2 times, getting the regular autograph session, seeing Yossy, talking to Yossy, being lucky and getting her to sign Yossy instead of Hangry, seeing them at the hotel breakfast or at night, being at the airport for them leaving).

I also want to give thank you to any of the people who had to deal with me barking out explanations all day 3 autograph waiting time... to those who weren't there from the beginning I must have looked like a jerk. I'm glad it worked out alright for everyone... the pains I felt getting kicked out over and over was avoided by a lot of you and actually that made the pain less.

-Morning Musume, the reason we are all got together, the reason I left the island after such a long time, the reason for all the happiness we got. Not just seeing them in person but seeing how much they wanted to do for the fans and how sad they were not to be able to shake hands and talk with the people at the last session. Their kindness in person was just...wonderful.

I fly out tomorrow...so one more night half in the dream. ^^

Well, I'm in a haze right now. I spent most of the day in bed hacking my lungs out and a headache so bad I thought my eyes were gonna explode. So, my report will come later. Enough to say this weekend has been Amazing. I met a lot of the people that came to Seattle for Hangry&Angry, and lots of new members here @ AX. Nothing but love for everyone. Thanks to Differentstory12 for delivering my card to Hangry after I lost my autograph ticket(I left it in my room, and after a quick dash to and from the hotel I was able to get back inline and get her Autograph. Daiging, for hooking me up with the Meet & greet on day 2. Was able to sit with them before they had to go and get ready for the concert. Hanging with the crew after the Hello, party, getting the scrap book and gift basket ready, 10Ks drunk ramblings good times. Saturday night feast, was a pleasure, all that food and great company. Props to Kuno for taking care of our party crashers @ our after party. more details and pics/vid when my head gets less fuzzy.

I also want to give a shout out that it was great hooking up with Sakura Con faces as well as meeting new ones!

As I joked with rev2hd, I kept running into this group without actually planning to (it's a BIG con), so that must be a sign from the Universe that things were meant to be.

Anyhow, I don't plan to write a real con report (like I did with the Sakura Con), especially since most of my experiences weren't particularly unique to what many others had.  However, I do feel compelled to write my one Yossie story for those who weren't able to hear me tell it in person.   :w00t:

However, that may be a while since it's not top on my personal writing list.   :(

But otherwise, as I mentioned to Dai & Co., I'm sure I'll meet a lot of you at the NEXT H!P event...  even if it's international!   8)

...  wow, Comic Con is going to seem so anti-climatic after all of this ...

Today wasn't so fun, but the JPFiles.com booth and the auction were something to look forward to.
btw, I left the auction early, only saw the first MoMusu item were sold, a signed platinum 9 CD, one of 3, apparently.  Can someone tell me how many MoMusu/Hangry item were sold and when I left, the robot chicken t-shirt sold for like $500.  I would think Momusu would sold higher than that.

btw, today and all throughout the event, I met lots of MoMusu fans and that there was some very interesting talk I had with them.  I also kinda met (didn't introduce myself) the co-founder and Admin of JPH!P.com.
HELLO! THERE AND THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE FOR H!P FANS!

IN CASE ANYONE IS FEELING SICK, GET IT CHECKED OUT.

One of my friends who went came home thinking she had a cold, but she texted me from the ER and it seems the doctor thinks it's pneumonia.

Stay well, hipsters!
