Gossip : Erika Sawajiri fail to make contract with Avex?~
Is the comeback already over with one commercial, one live performance and some photo shoots? At least it seems to be a much more difficult endeavor if we want to believe the newest article about Sawajiri Erika in the “Shukan Shinchou.”
A pants-eating butt and lip-syncing. It’s no surprise her performance wasn’t that well received by a lot of her critics. Her divorce doesn’t seem to come to a result as well and now the Shinchou claims that even the contract negotiations with Avex failed.
The agency was supposed to become her new big support and help her to regain a foothold in the industry, so how will that influence her comeback? The problem with Avex is that Erika needs to leave her old agency before they agree to make a contract with her.
However, her contract with the Spanish agency is still intact and it’s doubtful that she will come to an agreement with her agency before the divorce is over. The reason is simple, her soon-to-be ex-husband Takashiro Tsuyoshi is the company president of her agency.
“She has to cancel her contract with them first,” an Avex official revealed. “We often tried to get in contact with Takashiro to talk about the issue, but we simply never got a hold of him. I suppose that is because he wants to deal with his divorce first and I doubt he will stop being that obstinate until the divorce talks are over.
It’s a huge problem for us that we have to rely on whether she will be able to deal with her divorce soon or not. Like this we have no choice but to abandon our plans to get her under contract.” He continued. There are more things to be worried about.
Public agency “Decade” was supposed to help Erika with her comeback and that agency is a child company of “Proseed Corporation”. What is so important about them? Both the company presidents of Decade and Proseed are very close friends of Takashiro. “They requested us to be their contact person here in Japan and to look for projects such as roles, but at the moment we aren’t doing anything,” an official of Decade revealed. People at Proseed say the same, “At first there have been a few offers for movies and dramas, but in the end none of them came to realization.
At the moment there really is no work for her in the near future.” Takashiro or Avex would probably be able to push their efforts or that of other agencies a lot more, but unfortunately nothing is going forward thanks to her divorce. The best advice would be to hurry the divorce negotiations and to concentrate on her work, but so far she hasn’t even met nor called Takashiro to talk about it.
