...What was up with Jessica's voice? I guess she's sick again cuz she kept turning around :T She usually likes to face forward when singing.
And Yuri looks about as enthusiastic as me when I saw the Tell Me Your Wish, Genie dance

Her voice sounded fine though.

I live in Seoul, so I just went to the Gwanghwamun Kyobo Book Store's CD section and got it. The CD is cheap, 9500 KRW and the poster is free with it.

I'm mostly impressed with Maknae. We don't get to hear her sing this kinda song much, and she did great. A bit lacking on the emotion part but great.

Genie sold 6.777 copies yesterday, so that's 30.892 copies in total.

After all these years of seeing sales numbers, I still don't know how to read them.

And yes, I thought Seobaby was lacking emotion too... in fact, even when she sings Korean ballads, I feel the same. But no doubt the voice is great... I just wonder why she can't put her heart in it?

lol I'm pretty sure she feels the emotions needed to sing the song with emotion. She just doesn't really seem the type to express them. She always pretty much looks the same way every time you see her. haha

D-sign Music's label (EMI? WB? I forgot) said that this is no Mirotic and the song was sold to SM only. SM said this was leaked somehow and they'll probably sue. I do believe SM. They do covers all the time, there's no need for them to lie now. But D-sign Music? I don't know...

This artist’s version of “I Just Wanna Dance / Tell Me Your Wish (Genie) “ is entitled “Raqsga Tushgin”. It also seems that the people behind “Raqsga Tushgin” are unlawfully crediting themselves as the original composers and authors.

I hereby confirm that this is an illegal, unlawful unauthorized version recorded and released without any formal approval from the original writers and publisher - Universal Music Publishing AB (UMPG). The only artist given exclusive permission to first recording rights of this song is Korean pop act Girls Generation on SM Entertainment Korea. This approval was personally given by me to SM Entertainment in early 2009.

I also hereby confirm that there’s no act of plagiarism, fraud or unethical business practice on Girls Generation’s and SM Entertainment’s behalf. The group and label have, as always, acted utterly professional and in good faith. UMPG and SM Entertainment have a tremendous and very successful relationship. Evidence of this, is the large amount of UMPG-songs SM Entertainment have chosen to record with their top artists BOA, TVXQ, Super Junior and Girls Generation.

UMPG is the world’s largest music publisher and we exclusively represent the very talented Norwegian writing and production team DSign Music (R Jenssen / AJ Wik / R Svendsen / N Harambasic) as well as non-exclusive representation of selected publishing work of Danish top writer / producer Fridolin. And yeah, she's had that same stare for forever now... It's kinda creepy now that I think about it haha... Then again, Jessica has the same awkward smile when there are a bunch of cameras around (but she explained that she has always been camera shy so she has an excuse).

Ughhhh, reading and having to report news on that plagiarism scare is getting annoying. I don't even know why people were scared or upset in the first place. IT'S SM ENTERTAINMENT. When was the last time that 'play-it-safe' company has had a slip up? Plus, they make too much money for them to not spend it if it wasn't their song in the first place.

I've been listening to that Uzbekistan version hahahah I don't know why.

I wonder if they will win any award from MuBank this time.

Seotaiji is killing everyone with his sales but, luckily for our girls, he doesn't do well in online charts. 2NE1, by the way, is taking #1 spots in those charts with their new songs. Our girls do great in both but not necessarily no.1 anymore. I guess I'll just have to wait till afternoon.
