Hhhmmm.... Morning Musume's Sexy Boy would make a good ring entrance for an arrogant heel pretty-boy Shawn Michaels/Rick Rude type wrestler.

WWE apologizes
Oct. 9, 2006

World Wrestling Entertainment would like to apologize to anyone who watched WWE No Mercy and was offended by the William Regal locker room incident. Conduct of this kind is unacceptable in a family-friendly environment, and WWE accepts full responsibility. Nudity of any kind, even in a live television environment, is offensive to our audience and to the reputation of our company.

Anyone saw what exactly happened? But some of the words (locker room, William Regal?, nudity?) makes me think that I don't want to see it XD

Well, the ECW strip poker game did have both topless and bottomless nudity in it (censored of course).  Then again, it was hot nude girls, rather than a middle-aged englishman....

About theme songs, wasn't there a masked tag team in All Japan a few years ago that used a remix for Love Machine as their entrance.  I remember one of the members of the team was Chibi Love Machine and another was Love Machine.  A continuation of the Super Strong Machine, Giant Machine, etc. gimmick of the 1980's.

The No Mercy nudity thing was (of course) no big deal. I'm sure the public apology was mostly to get people to buy the replays of the PPV.

Basically, regal was getting out of the shower, barely covering himself with a towel when Vito showed up and did/said something that got Regal into a homophobic tizzy, causing him to leave the locker room and run down the hallway, dropping his towel in the process. The nudity referenced in the apology was Regal's bare ass.

Kurt Angle debuts tonight on TNA.

Read on the TNA site that its going to be an interview with Kurt, about why he chose to come to TNA, his future, and Kurts gonna have something to say about his former employer.
"Yo, microphone check one, two, what is this? The five foot assassin with the roughneck business"
"Are you my mummy?"
"Hello, Sweetie."
"Who's scruffy looking?"

I thought that Benoit vs. Regal on No Mercy was awesome, but Benoit vs. Kennedy from Smackdown was fan-f'n-tastic!

While the Regal match had great back and forth action, some incredible holds and counter-holds, incredible stiffness, and a very NWA/All-Japan 1980's feel to it, the Kennedy match was all about domination.  Benoit really got himself over, and had plenty of time to show Smackdown fans what they've been missing these past 5 months.  God, I love Benoit.

Thank you! I was kicking myself that I missed that. Awesome stuff.

Can't wait to watch that Benoit-Kennedy match. I taped it but haven't gotten a chance to check it out yet.

RAW tonight was great!  The 4-way IC match was super cool, Cryme Tyme had cool moves and was funny as heck, and I loved the reaction Britney's hubby got.  The guy is a natural heel.  That rap-off was great!  Cena has always fucked as a wrestler, but Cena as a fake rapper was much more entertaining than Cena as a fake marine.

I don't think that RAW or Smackdown have had rosters this strong in years.  RAW has Jeff Hardy, Benjamin, Super Crazy, Nitro, Carlito as strong contenders for the IC belt.  Did you see the 4-way IC match tonight?  That was great.  And much as I hate Cena, having RKO, Edge, and DX competing WWE title will make for some pretty good matches.

Smackdown has Finlay, Kennedy, Lashley, Matt Hardy, and a healthy Benoit as contenders for the US belt.  And Chavo, Noble, Jimmy Yang, Vito, Regal, and Terkay ready to step up to it.  The Smackdown tag-division hasn't been this red hot since 2003.  The weakest belt is actually the World belt: Booker continues to produce good matches and be very entertaining, but his competition is a bit limited to Batistia, Mysterio, and UT.  Even then, there's some great matches left in that mix.

The four way was of course my highlight of the night(because of Jeff Hardy of course). Didn't get to see Cryme Tyme in action, but caught them going to see Coach.LOL@ King Booker's wallet getting jacked. Actually I was shocked to see K-FED come out to the ring, but I was praying that he got the Samoan Spike. The F-U have to do. What got me was that Steve-O was laughing after Umaga beat his ass.

The part that had me worried about Cryme Tyme is if they could actually wrestle, and they can. they'll prob get better too. but the booker T thing was freaking Funny.
and the no mercy thing... i saw it. >_> but um i didn't like pause it or anything. and it was kind of funny. you don't see that type of humor too often. although it does get old and sickening (Jackass #2)

I was just waiting for Booker to come out with a Harlem Heat-ripoff comment!

Cryme Tyme really has a future, doesn't it?  They could go in any direction: continue being a comic face hood tag-team, go heal ala the Gangstas/Harlem Heat/LAX, go rapper face ala early Cena, go rapper heal, etc.  There's literally dozens of stereotypes the WWE could exploit.  And I wont complain one bit, because their wrestling ability seems solid.

OMFG I LOVE LONDON & KENDRICK!! I have to admit I rarely really enjoy the wrestling, but with those two, I'm never disappointed. They just fly around and do crazy flips and flops and a bit of bigbadaboom and then they like, kick people in the air and like fiuuuufauuuuuu THEY'RE SO AWESOME. Oh and hot, too.

I just watched their match at No Mercy. I'll see if there's more to comment on. o_o

I've got a friend that knows Paul London personally.  He's a HUGE wrestling fan and met London a few years back after a house show in Wpg before London really made it big.  They traded emails and have been good buddies ever since.  So much so that when my buddy went to see Wrestlemania in 2005 (for the 3rd year in a row) London split a hotel room with him, and he got to hang and take pics with all the other wrestlers and shit.

And I thought I was the man cuz I got to interview John Cena and Torrie Wilson for like, 10 mins.  I STILL gotta find that footage.
