.... lol the western hats are so random

the music is more arabic or from grrece but not western at all... doesn't matter, it's all fail anyways, specially the part with the high pitched voices? reminds me Alvin and the squirrels

i really liked the parts with the flowered pattern background and the highlight, i bet there is a full version of that only... i can watch that but not while listening at the same time.

The sort of annoying part is the high pitch voices and I have feeling that the live version might have some potential IMO. The dance and the music don't match.

Yeah I am agreeing on Shura for this one, now who is their competition for the date?

It was Alvin and The Chipmunks.

Still going to need some time before I get over the synthesizer/helium sound they have when they're singing the verses of the song. Thankfully Aichan, Eri, and Risa's "un-synthesized" voices can be heard in their little solo bridges that they each do in between the repeats of the chorus.

Fortunately the randomness of the PV is pretty damn crackified...and I'm not just referring to their ass/buub gesturing.

Oh that YouTube vid title fits so perfectly.

I'd laugh if this is how they actually sound singing it (i.e. if they sing it in this key instead of in the key that they use in the PV) during concerts.

^Actually, if you listen to individual mic recordings from the current concert tour, they actually do attempt to chipmunkify their voices...with varying degrees of success.

Then again, we can never really be sure if they wouldn't synth it up for the official filming day. Odds are, they probably would...

I can't say I'm a fan of the chipmunk voices, but once I heard the whole song as a total package I learned to accept it, especially since the voices normalize and become much more ear-pleasing as they transition into the chorus (that "ii ja nai" by Takahashi is the icing on this cheesecake). I'm loving the beat too, especially when the guitar kicks in...though apparently I'm yet another person who is reminded of "Koi no Dance Site", as I keep picturing the arm-swinging dance of that song whenever this song pops into my head.

The video...well, it works. They're in a palace fit for a princess, the dancing goes well with the lyrics.

I forget where, but I recall someone in either a forum or blog pointing out the cheesy fire effects being an appropriate send-off for Koharu since her first MM video featured the same thing.

I don't know how much this song's gonna sell, but I think it's a winner.

But I can see why they made Sexy Ass Princess the a-side. It does have a more unique style, what with the pitch-shifting, exotic arrangement, and weird lyrics.

The b-side is all kinds of awesome, but it is unfortunately more generic like Naichau Kamo.
They could have made it more memorable with a kick-ass dance, but....I've been spending too much time with K-pop.

I forget that girl groups in J-pop aren't meant to be chock full of performance talent. For pete's sake, I've seen rave reviews over how revolutionary RIVER's dance is, and it's like, "...it's good choreography, but the execution is ridiculously messy. WTF do you mean revolutionary!?"
Now if this was a C-ute a-side...

(Come on, Captain-Maimi-NakaSaki subunit. MAKE IT HAPPEN)

But yeah, the 7-8th gen vocals sound great, too! B-sides on a roll, Tsunku! First Aki Urara, now this, lovin' the tech-disco sound you've got going here.
