CHAPTER 5: All Tied Up

“Hey! Hey wake up!” Koharu shouted.

When yelling failed, the young woman laid a smack across her victim's face, but when that didn't even go how she planned Shin was nearly drowned with a bucket full of ice cold water as a final option. The clear liquid poured down his bruised face from the previous hit seconds before. Noticing he couldn't breathe, a series of coughs erupted from Shin's mouth while the water worked its way into his throat, ripping a icy shock throughout his body. Goosebumps rapidly formed to the surface of his greasy skin and his body shook from the sudden temperature change.

Koharu watched intensively as Shin recovered steadily from his rude awakening. At the end of his coughing fit, Shin's eyes focused more on his surroundings than on the burst of freezing water from the tin bucket. He tried to move, but came to realize he was stuck and the reason why was quite easy to find. He was wrapped from his feet to his arms in thick rope with nowhere to go. The knots were tight, making it harder to wiggle his way out of his chair.

The grinning teenager waited, seeing how long it would take for him to lay eyes on her or if he remembered why he was here in the first place. As she waited, Koharu began to see there was something about this man that made her unusually excited about punishing him for his horrible deeds. She couldn't quite place why, but she liked the feeling she was receiving. It was like a rush, an addiction.

“You had me worried there for a minute, Shin.” Koharu spoke, coolly. Shin's head jerked in her direction at the sudden sound of her voice. “You were in that trunk for too long.”

Koharu pulled a chair in front of herself and flipped it around so that the back of the chair was facing frontward. She seated herself down with her legs open, the chair between her legs, smirking. The young black haired teenager glared from her spot down to the middle-aged criminal. She was intrigued by this man. This evil doer that hadn't yet showed any signs of fear since he came to his senses.

For a moment Koharu watched him, taking in his physical appearance, remembering every little detail she could about him. It was almost as if she were studying him, trying to understand how he worked as a human. The longer she sat and watched him, the more she began to see that his body was shaking and it wasn't only from the cold, but partly from fear. There was a sense of pride and joy from her finding, to be able to make a grown man quiver and fear just a mere teenage girl .

That was something for Koharu to be overjoyed with. It filled her with confidence. A smug smirk worked its way across her young features. Every time she smirked, Shin became more aware of how twisted she really was. He knew he was in for something horrific sooner or later he just didn't know when.

Done with the intense silence around herself and Shin, Koharu finally decided to speak again.

“Did you know that after a certain amount of time in that trunk you would have just suffocated to death? That would have made me upset, you know? I mean...I went through all this hard work to get you and I even went as far as to buy you a new set of torture weapons and you die on the way? It seems only fair if you died by my hands.” Koharu ranted.

Shin watched her eyes darken and her pupils turn into two small slits. The aura she gave him was unmistakeably eerie and dark. She wasn't joking about his death and she wasn't just some little naïve teenage girl either. She was organized and knew what she was getting herself into.

“W-who are you?” He croaked.

Koharu stood from her chair and walked her way toward a small squared filthy table. She picked up a stack of papers and rushed over to slap the stack on to his lap. He flinched out of reflex.

“I think the question is who are YOU, Shin?” Koharu hissed. “You have an interesting file. Did you know that?” A deep chuckle faintly escaped her mouth. “But of course you know. I mean you were the one who created such a record, right?”

Shin blinked, astonished from the amount of information that was written on the very first page. This crazy girl knew everything about him. His medical history, date of birth, his mother's maiden name, the list ran on.

“H-How did you get all this?” He stuttered.

“It doesn't matter where I got this! Koharu snapped.

The files were snatched from his lap and thrown to the top of the table. A few sheets missed and fell, but were ignored to be picked off the dusty floor. Koharu leaned forward to Shin's face, meeting him at eye level then grabbed his neck in a tight throat hold. His face shifted into a panicked expression and his skin tone quickly turned to a dark shade of red from the lack of air. The sound of low choking noises came from his mouth.

The bright light in his eyes slipped away, while his eyes slowly began to close. Koharu watched this, taking in every detail and reaction he made to this sudden death grip. She had never killed any of her previous victims by hand. It was always a gun, a sword, a blunt object toward the head, but she never once decided to choke someone to death. The longer her hand squeezed around Shin's neck the more interesting she found this method.

It made her feel Godly. She felt superior and powerful. Only she had the power to end his life or save him and Koharu loved the idea that she could control his fate. Another gurgle exited from Shin's mouth, the last sound to show that he still had a fight left in him. The spark however didn't last and he began to go still and feel lifeless in her hand. He became less appealing for Koharu to see. And so she let her hand go.

She gave Shin the ability to breathe again. He had a second chance to live. Koharu gave him his right to live back. Shin slumped over to his right and started to cough and wheeze, desperately trying to get the lack of air back into his lungs. The flexing of his torso as he coughed and the motion of his gaping mouth to suck in as much air as possible reminded Koharu a lot like a fish straight out of water trying to breathe air, while she waited for him to catch his breath.

When his wheezing and coughing stopped and the only thing moving was the raising and falling of his chest. Only then did the lean teenage girl speak again.

“Do you know what you've done?” Koharu whispered, her tone only a tad bit lighter. “Why you're here?” She watched Shin shake his head. “The things you did: Attempted murder, armed robbery, illegal drug deals, aggravated assault of an officer, and I'm sure there's more. THAT'S why you're here.”
Shin's bottom lip quivered. His mouth opened, gasping for air. Sweat began to form around the sides of his face and to his upper lip. Koharu shook her head at him, disappointed then sighed.

“That's a lot you've done in the past five years. How is it that you've never ended in jail for any of this?” Koharu questioned.

“Why do you care?! W-what are you?! Are you a police officer?! Did the police send you so that I can confess and go to jail?!” Shin screamed back.

Koharu laughed and it wasn't a light type of laugh. It was loud and jolly, as if she was enjoying his emotional stress. She patted Shin on the shoulder.

“Shin, I'm not the police and you're not going to jail. The only place you're going when I'm done with you is five feet into the ground.” Koharu corrected.

The color left his face the second she spoke those bone chilling words. The wide clearly visible grin on Koharu's face teased him and haunted him. Shin's eyes widened. He stared at his maker, too stunned to move or to think. This was going to be it.

This was going to be the end. He would have rather rotted in jail than be here with this murderous nutcase, but the ropes tied perfectly around his body made it impossible to move let alone breathe. Koharu returned back toward the table, her eyes scanning the other items that rested to the top of the rotting wood. Shin could barely make out what she was carefully viewing over, but the way she stayed fixated on this unknown object the more he began to worry.

He could barely see her figure well enough due to the poor lighting, but when she was done looking he could see clearly the metallic shine of a blade. Koharu turned back to his position and slowly walked her way forward with her dagger in hand.

“Before we start I just want to let you know. You can scream all you want. No one will hear you.” Koharu informed.

She stepped forward, raising the dagger above her head.

“NO! NO! WAIT!” Shin shouted.

Shin's words, however, were falling upon deaf ears. It was clear his cries and begging was hopeless. Koharu wasn't going to stop, not for him or for anyone else. She enjoyed this too much. The screaming and the pleading, it was music to her ears.

This was too much of an enjoyment for her. Someone had to punish the sinners that easily slipped away. She was just the person to do so.

CHAPTER 6: After Math

The car ride to Koharu's apartment was silent. The young girl sat driving for hours in darkness and silence. She did not bother to fiddle with the radio. She preferred this quietness to spend most of her car ride thinking and reflecting to her previous murder. The black haired teenager stared back into her reflection in the rear view mirror, noticing the lack of light that didn't twinkle in her young once joyful eyes. Her eyes were as dark as the night around her while driving, just two black holes showing back the lack of emotions the nurse in training lacked. As she stared back to her double, Koharu began to remember back to her current kill, recalling Shin's screams for mercy clearly in her jumbled mind. She remembered the most what she did to stop his pleas. Her eyes began to haze, going back to the memory of Shin's death.

Koharu didn't waste any time to kill Shin. The second her blade reached down to his face she made sure the sharp weapon cut through a main artery which happened to be the jugular of his neck and waited for its effect. She watched closely and silently for him to finally die. It was slow at first and it was painful, but it was effective in getting her job done. The blood that sprouted from Shin's neck didn't bother Koharu, despite that the blood was sprouting in large amounts from the long slit along his throat. Thick streams of red life sprayed onto his clothing. The chosen method was just another of her ways to go in for the kill. A knife can be less messy than a gun depending on how the person is killed and slicing someone's throat had to be one of the messy ways to kill with a blade.

Though the kicking and thrashing Shin did as he bled may have bothered Koharu more than the amount of blood that started to pool around his feet just a little. He couldn't stay still and he kept making this awful choking noise from his mouth as he sat there bound in his ropes. Koharu knew that those sounds were from the blood that settled to the back of his throat, choking him. Either Shin was going to bleed to death or he would suffocate, Koharu wasn't sure which one would win first. All her concern at this point was if he had died and stayed that way. She had to make sure this man didn't have so much as a weak heartbeat. She preferred that the heartbeat remained dead and still.

The process didn't take long luckily and eventually Shin's rapid movements began to slow down before coming to a stand still. His death was quick and Koharu was home now, realizing during the whole car ride she had been daydreaming about tonight and running on autopilot. Mentally, Koharu prepared herself for Sayumi's verbal discipline the second she would come through the door, if Sayumi were still awake at this insanely late hour. But to Koharu's luck, Sayumi wasn't anywhere in sight and Koharu wasn't presented with scolding and yelling.

The young girl silently made her way through the apartment, until she spotted something on her way passed the couch. Laying peacefully on her side curled against the couch, Sayumi slept almost angelically. Koharu had to admit it was a cute sight to see. Obviously, Sayumi had been here waiting for Koharu's return, and clearly without her knowledge had fell fast asleep. The taller girl felt a small smile stretch across her face and a small throb in her chest as she studied Sayumi's cute position.

Carefully, Koharu scooped Sayumi into her arms bridal style and walked her way steadily toward their room as to not wake the sleeping bunny. Koharu was just as gentle placing Sayumi onto their bed. Just as Sayumi touched the bed a small mumble exited her mouth and Koharu stood still. Slowly, thick black lashes fluttered and Koharu found herself starting extremely close into dark sleepy eyes. Groggily, Sayumi's hand brushed back strands of messy hair before parting her bangs to see better, followed by another low mumble. Koharu's mouth pressed together in a thin line, not knowing what to expect from her sleepy girlfriend. She just hoped that Sayumi was too tired to ask questions or yell.

“You're home?” Sayumi yawned.

“Yeah.” Koharu whispered.

Sayumi smiled lazily before tying her arms around Koharu's slender neck. “I missed you.” Again, another yawn escaped the bunny's mouth. “What took you...so long?”

Koharu could tell she was easily slipping back to her gentle slumber. “I had a busy day at the hospital.” She answered.

Sayumi lifted her head and brushed her lips softly against Koharu's round cheek. The crazed killer could feel the warmth Sayumi gave off as she breathed steadily still in a state of grogginess. The fact of their closeness didn't bother Koharu after she felt this strange surge of heat fill her within seconds from the center of her body. But that all was pushed away the second Sayumi's lips touched hers and before Koharu knew it, they were kissing, quite passionately. Sayumi pulled Koharu down so that she was closer to the edge of the bed to continue their hungry kiss. Koharu let Sayumi take the lead during their kiss, not sure herself how to react to such an action. She stood still, keeping her hands firmly on Sayumi's waist, wondering how long this kiss would last. A moan came from Sayumi's mouth, wanting more than to deepen the kiss. Koharu felt the pale skinned woman's hands shift slowly downward from her neck to her arms and finally settled on to her hips.

Lightly, Sayumi pushed the hem of Koharu's yellow colored t-shirt up and easily slipped her hand under the cotton material, touching soft smooth skin. Koharu's body stiffen and shivered. The touch to her girlfriend's hand was gentle, causing her body to react in a way Koharu was not prepared for. She felt goosebumps form to the area Sayumi touched and the hairs around her neck were on edge. Without realization, Sayumi's hands moved downward and undid the button to Koharu's pants, slipping inside her jeans with ease. Koharu pulled back with a gasp and wrapped her hand around Sayumi's wrist to stop her actions. It took Koharu a few seconds to catch her breath and gather information to the situation she just entered. Her brain wasn't cooperating to get her to speak or to move other than the previous actions she's just done.

“S-Sayumi.” Koharu stuttered.

Koharu locked eyes with dark lustful ones and another wave of unknown emotions flushed through the young girl's body. She bit her bottom lip trying quickly to collect herself.

“I don't...it's too late, Sayumi.” Koharu stated.

Sayumi yanked her arm back, clearly disappointed. Koharu flinched and stepped back to put space between the two of them again. She heard Sayumi shift in their bed. The air around the two girls were thick and unsettling. Koharu kept her gaze toward her feet, finding that spot the most interesting rather than Sayumi's face of sadness and anger.

“Why do you always do that?” Sayumi whispered, not a single evidence of anger in her voice. “You always push me away when I come too close.”

Koharu didn't dare to look or to speak. The silence remained and that only made the tension grow. Koharu did the only thing she knew she could do, she ran.

“I'll sleep on the couch, goodnight!” She yelped, in a rush to leave.

Sayumi's hand was quicker than to her hasty exist and tied around Koharu's wrist. The older girl yanked Koharu back, bringing the youngest girl to the edge of the bed again. Sayumi looked directly into her girlfriend's eyes and put her other hand around Koharu's waist. She could tell Koharu was nervous and her fingers started to fidget.

“I love you.” Sayumi stated. “And I want to show my love for you other than just living with you. I want to let you feel what I feel for you. Don't you love me too?”

“Yes.” Koharu replied, in a low tone.

“Then sleep with me tonight?” Sayumi asked. “I'll be cold with you gone.”

Koharu nodded, too drawn into Sayumi's soft tone of voice and dark luring eyes that she was staring at the entire time of Sayumi's small explanation. Sayumi let go of her girlfriend's wrist, moving over to make some space for her lover. Koharu quickly crawled into bed, not bothering to change her clothing and laid to her side. Sayumi curled behind her, nestling her face into the back of Koharu's neck and wrapped her arms around Koharu's middle section. The shorter girl let out a content sigh before closing her heavy lids to sleep once again while Koharu on the other hand laid wide away, staring into the wall of their room. She felt different. Her stomach was warm and tingled. This was just another set of emotions and sensations she couldn't quite name again and it scared her that these phases were no longer fearful to her. It only seemed natural each time they appeared. Breaking herself of her tangled and baffled thoughts, Koharu closed her eyes, forcing herself to rest in the arms of her warm and loving girlfriend.

 ***

“Takahashi-san, you've arrived.” One police officer announced, in relief. “Let her through she's a cop.”

The other officers dressed in navy blue lifted the tape for the small officer as the rest of the men fought to keep the hungry questioning reporters back at bay. Ai turned around to glance at the yelling men and women with mics in hands and to the flashing cameras that went off every second to see if they could catch anything from the warehouse doorway. She spun back around, shaking her head to the annoying press and sighed. The officer that announced her arrival jogged after her.

“What are we dealing with?” Ai asked.

“Homicide. The man was found with his throat cut open. He bled to death.” The police replied.

“Any finger prints? Weapons left behind?” Ai questioned.

The man shook his head. “None at all. Who ever this was they made sure to keep everything cleaning.” He informed. “It'll be a hard case to crack.”

“I'll handle it.” Ai snapped.

She walked through the warehouse door and followed the flashing lights to the crime scene photographer on sight. Several other officers greeted their fellow officer while others continued to search for any given clues.

“You did a good clean up as always, Koharu.” Ai mumbled.

She stepped between two taller male workers and met with Koharu's latest kill. His skin was ghostly pale and his head dropped down, covering the gash in his neck. Ai took a closer step for a better view, her eyes carefully scanning for any slip ups. Ai would have to do very little to cover Koharu's footsteps since it seemed that most of her footprints were hard to track.

“Another one gets what they deserve.” Ai whispered.

“Move out of my way before I kick you in your package!” A nasally voice shrieked.

Ai picked up her head to see her male officers get pushed as the intruder made their way on to the crime scene while other cops voluntarily stepped aside remembering the threat that seemed to speak the truth to this intruder's words. Ai frowned. This was a closed warehouse only limited officers were allowed access to this crime. At the end of the path, Ai was met with a small thin girl pissed at the previous officers that didn't make it easier for her to enter sooner. Ai walked up to the girl with pigtails so that she wouldn't get sight of the murder victim.

“Who are you?” Ai sneered.

“Tanaka Reina. I'll be taking over this case from now on.” The wonky eyed girl briskly replied.

Ai felt her body run cold and the color left from her skin. Her face of fear didn't last for long and was quickly masked by rage. She folded her arms over her chest, glaring at the tiny girl that just proclaimed herself as head police to this crime.

“There is only ONE person in command here and that's ME.” Ai corrected.

Reina chuckled, looking Ai over and rolled her eyes. “Listen here you big eared monkey! Reina is in charge now. You have a problem with that?!”

Ai pouted as her hands touched her ears, upset from Reina's insult. “I don't have big ears and I do NOT look like a monkey!” She defended.

“Whatever, the point is shrimp this case is now under government control. You and your little cop buddies can leave.” Reina stated.

Ai frowned, growing even more impatience of this stranger. “Who are you calling shrimp, midget!?”

Reina took a step forward and Ai followed. Neither girl was going to back down and Ai was most certainly not going to hand over leadership to her crime. She was assigned this crime and no one else.

“Listen kid this crime is mine and you sure as hell can't just come in here and say it's yours now. So why don't you leave and take your wonky eye with you!” Ai equipped.

Reina's entire face turned red and her hands shook. “WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!” She growled. “You did NOT just make fun of my eye!” Reina raised her hand ready to punch the small officer's lights out in one hit.

“Reina, stop it!”

The hot tempered agent struggled to obey and relax her tense hand that was already set to deliver its blow. A deep sigh exited her mouth. Ai eyed the second intruder annoyed. She didn't need another person telling her to drop this crime. The tall dark orange colored woman smiled politely to the officer.

“I'm sorry about that. I specifically ordered Reina to tell you that she was working on this crime instead of just causing trouble with you. I'm Goto Maki, Reina's commander.” Maki apologized.

“Takahashi Ai.” Ai introduced, warily. “You're taking over my case, huh?”

“You see we have a hunch that the person doing all these skilled killings is someone that normal police officers should not come against.” Maki explained. “This isn't an ordinary killer, Takahashi-san. And I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but you could be in danger.”

“Yeah, so we're here to stop the crazy bitch. Ya know, wipe her out.” Reina added.

“I'm not handing over my leadership to you.” Ai denied.

“Takahashi-san, please understand that this killer isn't like the street criminals.” Maki pleaded.

“I suggest we discuss this at the station.” Ai declared.

“Geez, you're so stubborn!” Reina screamed.

“If that's what you want then we'll talk at the station.” Maki agreed.

Ringing emitting from Reina's pants pocket echoed through the warehouse interrupting the conversation. She fished her phone out of her pocket and pressed the on button. The black screen to her device lit and filled with Aika's smiling face. Reina, glared to her screen even more aggravated to see Aika's annoying face.

“What is it, Aika?!” Reina hissed.

“Did everything go as planned?” Aika asked.

“No, it didn't. We're on our way to the police station to sort this out.”

Aika let out a chuckle. “You didn't do as Goto-san asked did you? I knew you would screw this up. You always do!”

Reina flinched to the sound of Aika's girlish giggling. “Will you shut up?! I can't stand your voice!”

“Alright, I'm leaving. Let me know when everything gets sorted out. I have to tell Goto-san the latest news about the girl your looking for.” Aika agreed. “Oh, one more thing! Remember when you said you DIDN'T drink my soda? Yeah, well, while you were gone I ran a DNA test then dusted for finger prints. You liar! You DID drink my soda! You owe me a new one. See you later pinokio!”

Aika waved at the screen then the screen turned black.

“You brat! Wait until I see you!” Reina shouted, to the small screen. “I swear you're going to be sorry!”

“Uh...Reina?” Maki called.

Reina noticed the amount of eyes on her at her sudden explosion and rubbed the back of her neck embarrassed.

“Is she always like this?” Ai asked, to Maki.

“Most of the time.” She replied. “Are you OK, Reina?”

“I'll be fine, for now. Let's just leave already!” Reina responded.

“We can take my car.” Ai offered.

The three girls walked towards the exit of the crime scene. Each step Ai took the more she began to worry and become nervous. If these two girls were allowed control of Ai's crime then Koharu was doomed and most importantly Ai would get caught herself for giving top secret information to a killer.  Ai would very well lose her job. The officer's heart raced and her hands turned clammy. She couldn't allow Reina and Maki full control of this case. She needed to find a way to intervene or at least warn Koharu. Or they were both doomed.

MakiReina is in  town! Damn what's going to happen to Koharu and Ai :O Something tells me it's gonna be a hella of a ride from now on

My guess the reason why Koharu doesn't want to cross the line with Sayu is because she is afraid. For someone who is so void of feelings, love can be quite intimidating. Just hope Sayu doesn't get hurt

:on freeze: I flinched a little when i read about the killing.. haha.. it is just so not my thing but i like where the story is going..  :P

I guess Koharu is feeling the killer guilt when someone like Sayu touches her heart? It makes her from insane to sane again.. and i guess it scares her a little...

uh oh... Reina means trouble. If Ai's not watching her back I think Koharu's gonna get caught sooner or later. And I don't think she can stop killing people now. She's in too deep. I can't wait to see how this unfolds :shocked

CHAPTER 7: Intervention

Koharu didn't wake the following day until mid-afternoon. She had slept for hours much over her daily night of sleep and because of that she felt energized. For once, the young girl was not tired, but felt fully rested and ready for the day. She can't remember a time when she was able to sleep peacefully without having terrifying nightmares or the feeling of restlessness.

The sudden burst of energy was new. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, Koharu made her way out of bed and toward the bathroom. Sayumi wasn't anywhere to be seen when Koharu woke up so that meant the bathroom had to be free by now. Her daily morning routine took longer than usually since today was her day off.
Koharu didn't have to be in a rush or a time limit to use the bathroom before leaving. She had time to relax or how she saw it, had more time to plan her victim's capture and clean traceless death. When her morning routine was completed Koharu made her way to the kitchen with slight dejection, realizing that she just might be bombarded with questions again from her ever worried girlfriend.

“Oh good you're up!” Sayumi greeted, seeing Koharu enter the kitchen.

Koharu walked passed Sayumi and went straight to the cabinet to  take out a cup. The instant she turned around she was given a peck on her cheek. Koharu stood against the counter in a daze to the intimate action. Koharu's mind was half way into dreamland while the other half was piecing together the joyful expression Sayumi wore towards the tall teenager. She's never seen a person smile this wide or happily at her.

Koharu was both amused and amazed at such a cheery smile, yet tried to figure out how can someone put on such a smile towards another person and her no less. The human emotions and expressions were still a mystery to the dark haired teenager. Sayumi looked up to her girlfriend lovingly, while clasping her hands together under her chin and tilted her head to the side a little to complete her cute pose.

“Did you sleep well last night?” Sayumi questioned.

Koharu placed her hands to the edge of the counter and let out a small breath. The lack of space between them both made her just a bit uncomfortable. Sayumi had never been this close to her and Koharu knew it had to do with what happened last night. It was because of Koharu allowing Sayumi to cuddle her that triggered Sayumi's need for further contact.

“Um...yes. I slept just fine.” Koharu croaked. “Listen, I have a free day so I think I'll spend it sleeping.”

Sayumi's face light up with glee. She put a hand to Koharu's light blue T-shirt and curled her fingers around the hem. A devilish smirk replaced Sayumi's sweet and loving smile.

“You have a free day?” Sayumi repeated. “I know a better way you can spend it.”

Koharu's body tightened to the sound of Sayumi's seducing voice. She knew what Sayumi was hinting, but the very thought of doing the act...scared her? Koharu didn't know what the emotion was, but she knew she didn't want to spend her day fooling around when she could be planning needed deaths. The skilled killer felt her body shake. It angered her when she didn't know why. Koharu had no control over her body and that was new to her.

Still trying to put together what's happening before her, Koharu watched Sayumi frown.

“What's wrong? Don't you want to...” Sayumi trailed off.

Koharu licked her dry lips before talking. She felt suddenly very thirsty now that Sayumi chose a topic Koharu didn't want to face just yet.

“No it's just...” Koharu tried to think over her words before answering. “I never...”

“Oh...” Sayumi whispered. “It would be your first time? You're nervous?”

Koharu nodded, lying about the emotion that was ripping through her at this moment. What she felt didn't matter to her, but Koharu would just take any reason to get out of this situation that was making her less comfortable by the second. Sayumi's hand blindly found Koharu's motionless ones and linked through her fingers, an action that was meant to sooth Koharu, but instead made her more frantic.

“It's okay. It won't hurt. Well...for a second, but I promise I'll be gentle.” Sayumi whispered.

The second Sayumi's other hand slipped its way under Koharu's shirt she knew she was in a tight situation. If Koharu had not allowed Sayumi to proceed further it would make her highly disappointed and possibly angry, but if Koharu continued it would make her feel awkward and trapped. The coldblooded killer was stuck. This made her feel cornered and she hated feeling ambushed.

What could she do? The longer Koharu stood here, the more she realized surges of heat filled her and something in her head told her she wanted this even if the deed itself seemed strange to the younger girl. Koharu closed her eyes and gulped. Her best decision was to just stop thinking and do what came to her mind first. However, it was a difficult task because on impulse her first reaction was to attack and possible kill the girl in front of her, but that option just didn't seem appropriate to the raven haired killer at the moment after some deep thinking.

It surprised Koharu that she held back her instinct to stab or hack at the thing that caused her an inner turmoil. She didn't like fear. She didn't like any emotion and felt content with emptiness. That fact that she felt nothing and everything inside of her was empty made everything easier for Koharu. It meant no strings were attached and it was clear that with Sayumi it was against what she liked.

Pushing aside her urge to attack, Koharu cleared her mind. Her body began to move on its own. Her body was now running on auto, not fully aware of her actions. When Koharu opened her eyes she found her mouth pressed against Sayumi's and her arms were firmly around Sayumi's small waist. Everything around the doe eyed teenager didn't feel like her anymore.

It was as if she was watching herself do something and she had no control over it. Sayumi's arms finally wrapped around Koharu's neck and her weight shifted to the front of her feet to try and reach up and kiss Koharu. Their sealed mouths moved together, intensifying their kiss.

Koharu knew her mind shut down because she then grabbed onto Sayu when their kiss was over and lead her to the couch in a hurry. Her mind was gone, but her body was reacting to the kisses and touches they shared. Sayumi let out a small gasp when she was pushed down to the couch and Koharu straddled her hips.

In earnest, Koharu's hands worked quickly to strip Sayumi of her clothing until she was left bare. Sayumi moaned and picked up Koharu's shirt at the hem. The round faced girl lifted her arms to allow Sayumi to remove the shirt, but that was all.

Koharu pulled Sayumi forward to kiss her again and this gave Sayumi the chance to change her position so that she was no longer the one being dominated. The silent killer felt herself be eased back towards the couch until her back touched the soft fabric of the cushions. Sayumi leaned forward to kiss Koharu's slim neck, while her hands wandered to Koharu's lean body. The bunny's hands traveled down Koharu's arms, to the sides of her ribcage, and to her flat stomach.

Koharu let out several sighs of contentment, too stunned to be fully aware of Sayumi's actions. Koharu finally let out a moan when Sayumi bit at Koharu's earlobe. This gave Sayumi a boost of confidence and she started to grind her hips against Koharu's at a steady pace. The dazed killer felt Sayumi's hand yank down her pajama pants for better contact. This made Koharu a little more alert, but when Sayumi blew into Koharu's ear teasingly it send her back into another state of bliss followed by another sharp moan.

Sayumi chuckled, pleased with Koharu's reaction and slid her hand up Koharu's arm and closed it around her wrist. The tight lock around the shady girl made her quiver in fear. Koharu broke free of Sayumi's grasp and sat up alarmed. She attached her lips to Sayumi's neck and bit down as hard as she could. Sayumi let out shrieks of pain, but was left debilitated once she felt Koharu's fingers slip their way between Sayumi's legs.

Sayumi's small hands clamped around Koharu's back for needed support. The pain of Koharu's bites hurt, but for some reason it felt good at the same time. The bites however were nothing until Koharu's fingers were shoved into silky folds, leaving Sayumi to scream out louder than she could imagine.

“Ah, K-Koharu!” Sayumi choked.

Koharu let go of Sayumi's neck and licked the bites mark in a tender manner. Sayumi knew there was some blood. She felt liquid lazily oozing out when Koharu let go. Koharu's left hand glided over Sayumi's trembling body and to the back of her neck to tangle in thick black locks. Sayumi cringed for a second when Koharu's hand turned into a tight fist, holding a handful of jet black hair.

Koharu turned her attention away from the tiny drops of blood and to Sayumi's moist mouth. The two lovers kissed again in a much more heated and almost rough kiss. Koharu's tongue swirled with Sayumi's small tongue feverishly. The more dominate tongue corrected Sayumi's guess when she tasted a tint of blood in Koharu's mouth.

That small fact didn't bother Sayumi however and neither did the amount of roughness Koharu gave her. It made Sayumi feel more excited. Koharu pulled Sayumi's head back slightly to get better access to the other side of her neck and Sayumi felt a rush of arousal fill her. Koharu dived in and sunk her teeth in delicate skin again.

Sayumi let out a small moan and continued to hold on to Koharu. She didn't care if Koharu was rough with her. As long as it were Koharu Sayumi would take anything Koharu had given her. She enjoyed it.

 ****

“So you're telling me...what I could be dealing with is a psychopath? Some loony killer that's a threat to anyone?” Ai repeated.

“Takahashi-san, you have no idea what she's capable of. This killer is unstable.” Maki explained.

Ai gave out a small laugh. “Aren't all killers?”

“This one is different. Now she might be killing criminals, but how long will it be before she kills good people? Her ability to tell reality from fiction is weak and her control on her impulses will eventually disappear. She has to be stopped.” Maki clarified, her hands closing into tight fist out of angry for the remorseless killer.

Ai settled into her chair, processing Maki's reasoning to have Ai's power as leader handed down to Maki and her team. The wise military leader made perfect sense as to what could go wrong in this killer's mind. The more the officer's thought about the possibilities of Koharu losing herself in her dark desires became very clear. Ai realized that she never was in control that an unstable person such as Koharu was not something that could be checked in order.

The young murder is unpredictable with a mind of her own that has no steady grasp on the world around her. The cop's chest filled with panic as her mind worked overtime to put together the scenarios that can go wrong. Koharu can very well expose Ai as her secret source to the endless amount of victims Koharu has killed. The whole unit of her co-workers will strip her of her badge and she would spend years in prison.

Ai will be humiliated and harassed from the public. The more the skilled officer thought about the numerous results to her fate the more she saw that if she handed over her case to Maki and Reina she will be facing the same problem if Koharu decided to snitch on Ai. The skilled officer was in a jam. If she didn't agree to hand the case over Maki would probably suspect Ai of probably hiding Koharu and that was something the small cop didn't want.

She had to think of something. She couldn't remain quiet, sitting at her desk. She needed a plan to somehow still have control over the case.

“I'll need more time to think on this.” Ai said, breaking the silence.

Reina let out an annoyed sigh. Her patients was running thin. She wanted action and she wanted the rights to this case now to do that. Maki gave her solider a warning glance, seeing that Reina was becoming restless then faced Ai once again with a calm face.

Ai looked back at her, trying to read the stare in Maki's eyes. It was hard to tell if Maki was either upset from Ai's claim or suspicious. The tall commander was poised and very relaxed. The short haired officer wasn't sure if that was a good thing.

“We understand.” Maki replied, in a tranquil tone. “After all, this is your case and this is your city.”

Ai put her hands down to the top of her desk to keep her nerves back to normal. “If I hand this case over it will only draw attention to the media and the citizens will panic.” Ai explained.

“I understand. I am aware of what my team's presence will bring.” Maki coolly assured.

“Please, give me a day to think this over.” Ai begged. “I want to think over the possible cons and pros to this.”

Maki stood up from her seat and nodded. She smiles at Ai before heading towards the door. Reina's head snapped back to her leader in a frown. She found it odd that Maki wasn't going to push for permission any longer. Maki was usually more demanding and she shouldn't stop since this crazy killer is a potential danger to everyone in this city.

“Goto-san...” Reina called.

“Let's go Reina. Takahashi-san had asked for a day of consideration and we're going to give her that.” Maki interrupted, still facing the door.

Reina faced Ai again and glared. Ai sat back in her chair, blinking unfazed from Reina's deadly stare. The furious kitten shot up from her seat and dashed over to her commander with no further words. She knew better to talk back when Maki was in a calm mood because deep down that harmonious state meant she was angry. Maki opened the door and left with Reina, leaving Ai in complete silence.

She stretched back in her seat and let out a frustrated sigh. Running a hand through her brown hair, Ai sat forward again, staring at her pen she picked up from her desk. She began to lightly tap the writing utensil on the polished wood surface as her mind began to wonder.

Shortly after, Ai snapped out from her daze and picked up her cell phone. She had to tell Koharu even if she wasn't going to like it. With shaky fingers, Ai dialed down familiar numbers in a hurry.

 ***

Koharu put the last of her clothes on and looked herself over in her bedroom mirror. After she had spend hours pleasuring Sayumi the youngest girl felt dirty. It wasn't because Koharu was sweaty, in fact she made sure to let Sayumi receive all the pleasure and touching the the older girl with her own hands was enough to make Koharu feel filthy even somewhat disgusted with her previous actions. It wasn't long before Koharu had decided to take a shower.

When she was sure Sayumi was asleep only then did Koharu leave. It took so long to get to the bathroom because Sayumi had begged Koharu to stay with her so that they could cuddle. On impulse, Koharu's first thoughts to such a question was no, but she knew that Sayumi would be outraged to such a blunt answer and then would come a series of questions, so unwillingly, Koharu agreed.

It was the least she could agree upon since she had earlier denied Sayumi's request to strip. Blinking back her previous memory, Koharu walked into the bathroom to see if she was presentable to be outside. She had business to attend and urges to quench and she only had little time before Sayumi woke up again.

Pleased with her appearance, Koharu left the bathroom to make her way out the apartment until her cell phone rang. Not wanting to awaken Sayumi, Koharu quickly grabbed her cell that was resting on the counter top and flipped it open before get a look at the front screen.

“What?” Koharu harshly questioned.

“We have a problem.” Ai replied.

Koharu felt her body turn to ice. Her eyes flickered with rage. Those were the words she didn't want to face and hated to hear. Her stance became stiff.

“Meet me at your closest cemetery in five minutes and try to be discreet.” Ai instructed.

Koharu heard a click on the other end and closed her phone. She slipped the device into her pocket and hurried out the door.  Her mind now had a new objective. Fueled by anger, Koharu zipped down the street and into her car.

If this so called problem was going to stop Koharu from her need to punish then she had to stop what would be the main cause to her discovery. Once inside her car, Koharu's hands searched through the glove compartment and pulled out a knife. Staring closely at the slick blade, Koharu reached out to the back seat of her car and picked up her sweater. The young teenager knew what she had to do to remain unknown.

Ai was now a hindrance, another cause to her problem, but at least this problem can be fixed. Clutching the knife in her hand, Koharu placed it on her lap while she started the car and drove. She looked forward to her meeting with Ai.

CHAPTER 8: Temptation

“You're back!” Aika excitingly shouted, spinning around in her computer chair to face her team. “Wait...you're back?” She realized that the only person who should be back is Maki, but quickly noticed Reina's presence with her. Taking a look to her teammates' expression, the computer wiz instantly put together that they were angry and nothing went as planned.

Maki and Reina walked up the stoop, leading to the platform where the computer technician was and stood in front of Aika. The youngest member held a worried face. She didn't like that her team members were silent. Aika felt better hearing them talk even if that meant Reina will be screaming and fighting with her again.

“What's wrong?” Aika asked. “Did the case get handed to you?”

“That stupid cop wants a day to think about it!” Reina snapped, Aika only was slightly as ease to hear Reina's voice. “How can it be so easy to not give us the rights?! We've provided enough information to take over.”

“Not entirely.” Maki corrected. “Even if Takahashi-san is a cop she is still in some way a civilian and civilians aren't allowed the information that government agents have access to.”

Aika glanced to her leader, finding it difficult to read her commander's emotions the most. “So Takahashi-san doesn't know that this killer used to be government property?” The genius asked.

“If we tell her that she'll only have more questions. The very exist of this killer was supposed to be a secret.” Maki explained, her face shifting into an inquiring expression. “What I can't get is why this killer does exist. It was supposed to be deposed of a long time ago.”

Reina looked to her leader in confusion. “What are you talking about Goto-san?”

Maki snapped out of her haze and smiled to Reina. “It's nothing. My theory could be wrong, which is why I don't want to make a big fuss about being allowed that case. My hunch can very well be wrong based on outdated facts I know.” Aika and Reina were baffled to Maki's rambling. “I'm not completely sure if anything I can remember be of use. I have come to an conclusion, however, that my gut feeling might be right based on Takahashi-san behavior from our meeting.”

“Behavior?” Aika curiously repeated.

“I suspect she just might be hiding something from me, possibly the person we're looking for.” Maki answered.

A gasped escaped from the two soldiers.

“You figured all that out from just speaking with her?!” Reina shouted, amazed.

Maki laughed and patted Reina's head affectionately. “You have to be more observant Reina. You're an agent. Besides, this isn't a fact it's just a suspicion, but still...that shouldn't be taken lightly. I will only like to work with Takahashi-san to keep on eye on her.” Maki clarified.

“Do you want me to plant hidden cameras?” Aika suggested, enthusiastically. “I've been working on a new camera device! It'll be great to give it a test run!”

“Not yet Aika. I need more to run on rather than just a personal guess.” Maki declined.

“So then what do we do?!” Reina growled. “I'm not just sitting in this lab with Aika all day again!”

Aika frowned at the cat's remark.

“You can be my test subject for my new weapons, Reina.” Aika snapped, with a devilish smile in place.

Reina glared at her. “Why so you can tazer me to death?! I'm surprised you haven't even poisoned me yet!” The yankii shot back.

“If you keep talking to me like that I just might slip something in your food!” Aika retorted.

“Enough you two!” Maki interrupted. “Reina if you're that concerned about spending your days down here I suppose you can go out for today. I expect you back before night so we can go over some training drills.”

Pleased with her chance of freedom from the underground lab, Reina quickly left more than happy to be outside doing more interesting things than arguing with Aika. Not accustom to the silence, Aika decided to speak again.

“Goto-san, why would Takahashi-san protect a killer?” Aika asked.

Maki turned around back to her technician member. “That I would like to find out.” Maki answered, before walking out the room too.

 ***

Koharu rushed through the cemetery gate, scanning every part of the graveyard as she walked through rows of endless headstones. She couldn't waste anytime for this meeting. The longer the search went on to find the officer the more restless Koharu became. She was certain she had came here in less than five minutes why hasn't Ai done the same?

The black haired girl pulled the hood of her sweater over her head and stuffed her hands into the pockets. She stood in place, to get a better look of her surroundings. The cemetery stretched on for miles and in whatever distance Koharu can see, Ai was no where to be found. The grip around the handle to her knife, tucked safely into Koharu's sweater pockets, tightened in frustration. A small buzzing from within her pocket tore her from her angry thoughts and pulled the cellphone out.

“Where are you?!” Koharu hissed, no longer able to hide her rage.

“I'm in the crypt next to you. Hurry inside it's best we speak here.” Ai answered, hanging up again.

Koharu looked around for the stoned building and spotted one just a few feet away from her placed underneath a large old oak tree. She quickly entered the crypt and spotted Ai in the middle of the small building, waiting for her. Koharu carefully closed the door before walking over to the cop. The short woman watched Koharu's move carefully as she came near.

They way the crazy killer walked told Ai what she suspected Koharu felt and that was anger, pure anger. With her hand tucked into her jacket, Ai held her gun and curled her fingers around the trigger. They stood in place, staring at each other, seeing which one would be quick enough to pull out their weapon. Ai cleared her throat, deciding to speak first.

“I know that you're...” Ai froze in mid-sentence when the sharp edge of a blade was pressed to her neck.

Koharu's other hand grabbed the back of Ai's neck tightly. The taller girl, glared down at Ai, staring directly into her brown doe eyes. Ai gulped, looking back into the eyes of the person who can kill her any second. The cop began to shiver, while at the same time amazed at how fast Koharu pulled out her weapon and had Ai in a death grip.

She's never seen someone draw a weapon this quick before. Koharu stood still, the hold on Ai's neck still strong as she just watched Ai, taking in her reaction. Koharu knew this emotion it was something she's very familiar with. Fear, Koharu was seeing fear and it was something she liked. It was one of the few emotions Koharu can recognized.

“Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you!” Koharu whispered, through clenched teeth.

Ai's heart began to race as the knife sunk a inch deeper into her skin. “B-because...for starters...I know who's going after you.” Ai croaked.

Koharu's weapon lowered. “That may be true, but I can find them myself even if I do choose to kill you.” Koharu raised her knife again, pointing the tip underneath Ai's chin. “You'll have to give me a better reason if you value your life.”

Ai began to sweat. She knew Koharu meant her words and she knew meeting with this insane girl was a risk, but she had to try and bargain with Koharu if she wanted to live. Ai watched Koharu's eyes flickered and at the corners of her mouth it started to twitch into a tiny smile. Koharu liked having the officer helpless.

She even looked forward to gutting Ai. The brown haired woman stood back in complete shock. She's never felt this afraid of her life since she's become a cop.

“I-I-I can stop them!” Ai quivered. “If I allow these people to work with me I can make sure they won't find you.”

Koharu put her knife down to her side. “Can you even do that?”

Ai rubbed the back of her sore neck. “I have my ways.” she answered.

“If you keep these people off my back then I won't kill you. Don't think after you're gone I can't kill you because like you Takahashi...I have my ways.” Koharu threatened. “I won't hesitate to kill you next time I see you.” The pale teenager latched on to Ai's shoulder and placed the knife to her neck again. Koharu moved her blade to the side and Ai's cringed.

Her shaky hand immediately went to her neck when she felt something wet trickle down to her chest. Pulling her fingers back, Ai saw the blood that collected at the tips and stared back at Koharu. The cut wasn't deep and didn't hit anything vital. It was a shallow wound, but a warning to the young officer. Koharu didn't tolerate mistakes or broken promises the mark on Ai's neck was a clear message.

“I want the names of every person that's after me. We'll have to meet somewhere else so that I can receive their file and any further update to this group on my trail.” Koharu instructed. “I expect you to listen Ai. If nothing is resolved, look for me at your door step because I will finish that job on your neck.”

Subconsciously, Ai's hand closed around her neck in fear to Koharu's threat. Ai watched Koharu clean her knife from left behind blood then stuff the weapon back into her pocket. The startled officer nodded, too shaken to speak. She realized that no only was her career now on the line, but so was her life.

“There's one more thing.” Ai announced. “I'll need you to stop killing for a while. That way you won't have to worry about getting caught. A week or two should do it.”

Koharu froze. Ai's works struck her like a rock to the head. The officer asked for something that just didn't seem logical to the teenager. It was a request unthinkable to the raven-haired girl. Koharu's eyes narrowed and her hands curled into fist.

Ai felt herself shiver at that dark glare. Running on her gut feeling, she held on tighter to her gun, feeling that she just might have to use it.

“If you stick to our plan that won't be necessary.” Koharu snapped, before walking out the crypt.

 ***

Koharu couldn't go home after her small meeting with Ai. She was too worked up to go back home and relax. The black haired teenager needed to do something other than sit on a couch watching TV. She had a day off from work so going back to the hospital was out of the question. In desperate need to let out some steam, the tall girl decided to walk around the city to try and clear her head.

The orders from Ai was still stuck in her head. Koharu was to lay low with killing for about a week. She had to stop catching the criminals that deserved her punishment. That did not click with the young killer.

It was a command that didn't process through her cloudy mind. The remorse free nurse in training glanced around her as she walked down a crowd of people to no place in paticular.

The more she looked at these people who were eating, shopping, or working the more Koahru found it harder to NOT take one of them and slaughter them like the animals they were. She felt this strong urge to slice into someone's stomach and thrust her dagger into someone's chest. Her body even slightly shook in excitement to her idea.

The killer's mind kept wandering to the dark urge she so badly wanted to fulfill. Koharu stared down to the concrete ground and curled her fist closed tightly to control herself.

If she gave in to her desire she will easily exposed herself, but the temptation was too strong. Koharu finally realized taking a walk outside with all these people surrounding her was a bad idea after all. She needed to get back home if she wanted to remain hidden from her normal night time activities.

“Koharu-chan, I'm surprised to see you here!”

Koharu jumped when she felt a small hand on her shoulder and quickly turned around to face the intruder that invaded her personal space. Koharu met eye to eye with a familiar face with an even more familiar smile and put on a small smile of her own in return.

“Niigaki-san, good afternoon!” Koharu cheerfully greeted.

Risa smiled despite seeing the sudden happy mood from her trainee.  “You're in a good mood today. You should get days off more often.”

“As much as I like this break I want to be back at work.” Koharu admitted. “It's too boring without doing something.”

“You're one of those workaholics, huh?” Risa laughed. “If you want to work that badly you can come with me. I'm heading back at the hospital. I was called in because one of the doctor's went home early.”

“No, that's okay, I have to do an errand.” Koharu declined.

Not taking no for an answer, Risa proposed another suggestion to her busy worker.

“How about I just drive you to where you're going? My car is just around the corner. Please, let me help you get around a little quicker. It's very crowded today.” Risa begged. “Besides, who wants to be around this crowd? I know I work with people because it's my career, but I have to admit they can be such a hindrance.”

Koharu tried to fight herself from frowning at such a claim from a social girl such as Risa. The doctor was so friendly and welcoming to strangers and any person she came across. This statement threw the younger girl back almost in a small state of shock. Maybe, the brown haired woman had another part of her that Koharu didn't know. It sure made her curious to search for such a side the black haired girl is positive does not exist.
A small smile sketched across Risa face as they stared at each other in silence. Even the bean's best warming smile began to set Koharu's mind reeling to the true meaning behind it. Feeling herself getting dizzy trying to search for her questions, Koharu gave up and smiles back, only faintly. She rationalized she was imagining the meaning to her teacher's words, probably because she began to like the idea of not being alone. It would mean the teenager was not also living a double life.

“Koharu?” Risa called, trying to get her student's attention again.

“Okay.” Koharu agreed.

Koharu allowed herself to be lead to the parked vehicle by Risa. As they walked together, Koharu felt slightly uncomfortable with the hand that settled on to Koharu's back that was a harmless and friendly gesture to Risa, but such contact was still so very odd to Koharu even in the smallest form. All she wanted was to get in that car and driven to her destination so she can make a quick visit to that gun shop. Although her and Ai have talked about lying low with killing Koharu's thirst for the suffering of another was too great.

In the end, the killer gave in to her desires. She couldn't stop. Comfortably inside Risa's car, the young teenager leaned against the car window, letting her mind flood with images of various kill methods for her latest victim. The two girls sat in silence, while Koharu allowed apart of her get lost in her overpowering dark side.

It will be her last one before she went into a hibernation of hiding. Koharu saw no trouble in just doing one last kill before hiding from society. What can be the harm in that?

Oh man, what can be the harm. famous last words if I ever saw them. Poor Risa doesn't even suspect. I wonder who Koharu's next victim will be?
