I actually love the fact she dropped the twintails, and wanted her to do so for the longest time. She is not a "cute" idol and needs to get away from that image.

I wouldn't say her popularity dropped. Just that she hasn't gained any new fans compared to others since her exposure is basically zero, although she never really had any to begin with (CnJ doesn't count). She's about to lose her perfect theatre attendance though

Harucan has really been under the radar these past couple of months. Anyways it looks like she will be back soon!
