Hikari san won as Best Actress in a drama series
for her role in "Mother", which followed the struggles
of a single mom, and aired in 2013.

Hikari san at Venice Film Festival, 2016

Recently watched 愚行録 (Gukoroku),
with Satoshi Tsumabuki and Hikari san.

It's a film focusing on the inequality that exists in Society of which few want to discuss,
or even admit that it exists...

The two lead actors, as well as supporting cast (which includes JPH!P threadholder Yui Ichikawa)
put in very impressive performances, and the directorial debut by Kei Ichikawa brings a new voice
to originality in Japanese Cinema.

Just finished watching 'Death Note', the original film from 2006...

Didn't realize that Hikari san played the younger sister of Tetsuya Fujiwara's
character, Light Yagami...
