I am truly a very big fan of T-ara because they are definitely one of the best girl groups in K-Pop alongside other popular girl groups such as Girls' Generation, Wonder Girls, After School and SECRET.  T-ara is just simply so awesome and amazing

So, when is T-Ara gonna have a comeback that involves Dani so I can get back into them so I don't have to be reminded of Hwayoung just not being there? It makes me so sad because I was so into them and loved Hyomin but then Hwayoung got added and she just became my overall fav and that made me follow the group more closely.

Now idk... /sad face

Well, if you need member replacement "therapy" Areum has been performing with T-ara for some time now. Whether or not she was actually meant to be a replacement or an addition, like Dani, I don't really know. Seems like she is getting on quite well with the group and things really have been peachy ever since. As for their next comback/single or even Album I'm not sure. I'm sure Dio will chime in with some 'alleged' news about all that plus Dani officially getting on the scene.

For now enjoy a lego christmas tree made by Qri!

Once upon a time, in 2008 when the Earth was still flat and the grass was green a certain special somebody released their debut solo LP signaling the beginning of my undying affection. You guessed it, it's Boram. What you may not have guessed is that before T-ara she gave being a solo artist the ol' college try because of dat Jeon blood and, well, you know how that turned out. But if you didn't know about all this or did know and haven't listened here's your chance! Presenting... *drum roll*... Jeon BoRam's From Memory! (There were no MVs made or anything like that so forgive the randomness of the videos chosen. You get what you can find... this stuff has fallen into kpop obscurity.)

1. After That

2. Loving You

3. From Memory

4. Reserved for Loving You (rap version) if I can find it.

As a bonus, here's 'Is It Today' from Lucifer Project vol. 1. Another forgotten relic but probably my favorite Boram song.

Hope you enjoy!

Many heartwarming moments here. My favorite part? Qri blowing the first take and Boram laughing at her then doing her own take making coffee look dull. ENJOY.

[13.01.22] T-ara's Soyeon caught in a gossip controversy, "Who is 'Stitch'?

T-ara's Soyeon is caught in a controversy after comments she left on Kakaostory where she gossips and refers to a senior actress as "Stitch" were revealed.

On the 16th, Soyeon was involved in a conversation with Sua of D-DAY and actress Yoon Euna. They were talking girl-to-girl about the clothing brand Kenzo when the incident began.

Soyeon said, "Nowadays unnie only wears Kenzo. I can't wear it. I won't wear it" Sua replied to her saying, "That unnie? Should I stop wearing it?"

Euna then replied saying, "Stitch? keke" where Sua replied, "Angry Stitch?" and Euna replied, "Old Stitch. You can see her wrinkles already keke"

Core Contents Media heard about the issue becoming bigger and replied, "Soyeon is embarrassed that a personal conversation would become a controversy. 'Stitch' is an unnie that Soyeon knows and has nothing to do with actress A who is becoming discussed."

Here they go again...

Quote from: Allkpop
Recently several screen shots of a conversation taking place on app KakaoTalk Story (not to be confused with just KakaoTalk) between three individuals, one of whom is T-ara‘s Soyeon, started spreading online, gaining criticism. With more and more becoming aware of the conversation and media outlets reporting on the issue, Core Contents Media was reached for a comment.

It is being reported that the three individuals engaging in the exchange are Soyeon, Sua of D-Day, and actress Yoon Ee Na.

This all started when Soyeon saw Sua wearing a Kenzo brand shirt and remarked that she also had the same shirt.

Sua commented that it was hard to acquire the shirt, and Soyeon responded, “Because these days that unni wears all the Kenzo… I can’t wear it, I won’t wear it.”

Sua asked, “That unni? Then should I take it off?” This is when actress Yoon Ee Na joined in the conversation, commenting, “Do you mean Stitch? Keke”, Sua responded, “Angry Stitch?” and Yoon Ee Na responded, “Old Stitch”.

Sua laughed as she commented, “Kekekekekeke even old???” Yoon Ee Na explained, “Kekeke You can see a lot of wrinkles..” and Soyeon added, “Daebak Stitch kekekeke”.

Yoon Ee Na then commented, “But you know, I don’t think Stitch brushes her teeth.” The conversation then moved onto the topic of ‘Stitch’s wedding and the girls asking one another if they were going.

Netizens assumed that the ‘Stitch’ the girls were talking about was actress Yoon Eun Hye at first as she has the nickname of ‘Stitch’ and is known to love the brand Kenzo. As articles started surfacing regarding the matter, the story has shot to the top of real time rankings of popular search portals such as Nate and Naver, with netizens voicing their opinions, mostly criticizing the three for talking behind someone’s back.

When reached for comments, Core Contents Media commented, “Soyeon is quite shocked that a personal conversation has created such attention… ‘Stitch’ is just an unni that Soyeon knows, and does not have anything to do with the ‘actress A’  that people are assuming her to be.”

And the ridiculous CCM statement:

Quote from: Allkpop
Core Contents Media has released an official statement regarding the KakaoTalk Story (KakaoStory for short) conversation that took place between T-ara‘s Soyeon, Sua, and Yoon Ee Na.

The agency commented through a press release sent out to the media, “Soyeon and Soyeon’s acquaintances were not speaking in regards to a specific celebrity. We are sorry that this kind of incident has occurred and we will take more precaution and be more careful in the future.”

“The topic of  ’Stitch’ in question came about because the tiger drawing on the shirt of the brand resembled ‘Stitch’ the character, and since a graduate student unni Soyeon knows wears that brand of clothing every time they meet, that is why they were talking about it,” they added.

The agency continued, “The name of ‘Stitch’ being discussed is not even 1% related to a celebrity, and it seems Soyeon’s acquaintance just joked about ‘Stitch’ without any other intentions after seeing the brand’s clothing with a tiger drawn on it.” It was also added, “Also, the part about Soyeon’s acquaintances discussing ‘Stitch’s marriage is not about the graduate student unni who is a fan of the brand, but about another acquaintance they know who is about to get married.”

The agency concluded, “As Soyeon and her acquaintances were not naming a particular celebrity, we do not feel that it is right that this has become a big issue because of assumptions… Even though Soyeon’s and her acquaintances’ words do not have anything to do with a particular celebrity, we are still sorry that this incident has occurred and we will be more cautious and careful in the future.”

By releasing the statement, Core Contents Media has once again hoped to confirm that the conversation taking place was not intended toward the celebrity netizens have been assuming to be the person in discussion (Yoon Eun Hye).

In addition to Soyeon’s agency, actress Yoon Ee Na’s agency, Dasom Entertainment, has also commented regarding the KakaoStory exchange.

They commented, “As it is hard to determine the exact story from the captures, we are currently confirming the truth.” They, however, confirmed that Yoon Ee Na did partake in the conversation, but denied that ‘Stitch’ was Yoon Eun Hye, commenting, “The SNS username captured is indeed Yoon Ee Na’s, and the celebrity A in question is just an assumption, it is not true.”

However, although Yoon Ee Na’s identity in the SNS capture has been confirmed, it is not known exactly who Sua is as D-Day‘s Sua has denied that she is one of the three through twitter.

WTF is that crazy messy explanation? For the sake of everyone, I wish CCM would just not talk lol...

I think most ppl now and then have a bitchy moment of talking about someone we don't like with friends... It's not like we have to like everyone. But it feels purely idiotic that these girls keep having their bitchy moments in public fora. Wtf girls??

In favor of T-ara, Soyeon says the least in that convo. The truly mean comments are by the other girls, IMO.

I dropped this here earlier, but I buried it in pictures XD...because, this is was how I felt about it:

I can't really form any cohesive thoughts about this atm so I'll just rant real quick (and by quick I mean not quick at all)

People make me very sad. IF the conversation was in fact every bit as malicious as haters/netizens seems to believe, then I completely agree that it's pretty damn silly for her to participate in this conversation, even if she didn't really say much. I can go on and on about how no one is perfect and everyone has conversations like this and makes mistakes, but when it comes to raining down judgment on others, everyone gets on their high horse and talks shit about other people mercilessly, while hypocritically trying to put them down for ALLEGEDLY putting someone else down, so a reaction like this is completely expected and thus it could be easily avoided by just...not having a conversation like this in public. That said, I'm under the impression that this is an OLD conversation (dating back to before the controversy), so "she should know to avoid this, because of what they're going through!" is not quite valid, and while I guess that wouldn't "excuse" it, it'd make this dumb decision more understandable.

What I really don't get is the people saying things like "they belong under everyones toes. what they did is a shame to being an idol" (actual quote, thanks allkpop lolol) based on hearsay and garbage without proof. I wouldn't make bold statements like that without proper proof, just like I wouldn't pretend they were entirely innocent if there was a possibility they weren't. We just don't KNOW, so why do people blindly condemn others? They call them horrible people etc, but if you thought for a moment that maybe they did nothing wrong, and you're at the other end of the internet calling them bitches and whores and hoping their dreams burn in hell and they fade into obscurity, that makes you a pretty disgusting person. Hypocrisy in general is disgusting, so my mind is blown by these people. Granted, I file most of it under "nasty jealous troll", and I don't personally take offense to it beyond just making a confused face and shaking my head, but it's that kind of shit that spreads on the internet and ultimately probably sends these girls home crying when people say horrible things to them over something they may not have even done.

and CCM is always ridiculous, so I don't even know what to think about their statement. and I really truly can't express my hatred for these netizen/korean news/allkpop articles. I mean, damn, I had to read it a couple times before it even made sense, and even then, IT BARELY MADE SENSE! They're so general and vague, just like that statement was general and vague, a lot of random words thrown around that I can only blame on shoddy translations or lack of context. Even that statement made no damn sense XD.

This SORTA clears it up, could be bullshit, could not be, but either way it shows the conversation in a pretty different light: http://www.allkpop.com/2013/01/t-ara-soyeon-sua-and-yoon-ee-nas-kakaostory-conversation-edited

[NEWS] The Truth Behind T-ara Soyeon Scandal on KakaoTalk
While the outdated “gossip” between T-ara Soyeon and actress Yoon Ee Na is becoming a hot topic on the internet, the truth that arrived a bit later than expected attracted quite a few of attentions.

Certain related person explained through phone call to eNEWS saying “the blaming occurs because Soyeon’s part of the conversation has been edited out (by just cropping a part of the conversation instead of as a whole) intentionally to make it looks bad”, “the conversation is not directed at any actress, it’s really just discussing the acquaintance wearing stitch”

Recently, in a discussion board in BBS, there was a picture of conversation on the 16th between Soyeon, Yoon Ee Na and Su Ah in KakaoStory spreading.

In the picture, Soyeon saw Su Ah wearing a certain brand t-shirt and left message for her saying “it’s the same clothes as mine.” Afterwards Su Ah said, “This is a shirt I’ve gotten after searching so difficultly”, Soyeon replied “Recently this brand receive so much guilt from that sister there… I’m not wearing it, I don’t want to wear it anymore” which causes the question of whether it was directed at a senior artist.

Following, Yoon Ee Na said “Isn’t it stich?”, Su Ah and Yoon Ee Na later left messages saying “angry stitch?”, “old stitch”, “even old” kind of statement, which ignited the blaming.

However, eNEWS further inspected the pictures from KakaoStory and confirms that the outcome of their conversation is totally different from what was once reported. In the picture, there was a person wearing KENZO tshirt which is Soyeon’s acquaintance, having a headset, modeling.

On the upper part of the the pattern, there’s a printing which resembles stitch, which started the conversation. Especially the much criticized “angry stitch”, “old stitch” means that there is a crumpled pattern on the tshirt which is also an “angry stitch” (looks like angry at first glance).

The stitch being discussed that was getting married is another acquaintance. But the internet reported it to make it looks bad.
This certain related person said “it seems that T-ara controversy last year causes the hatred to netizens which give rise to this problem” “I’m really upset people are spreading rumors like this and making it out of control”

So, if I'm getting this properly, Soyeon sees picture of Sua wearing KENZO and says something about how she can't wear Kenzo anymore because [bad translation here], something basically amounting to, she can't wear it because some other unnie either wears all of the Kenzo stuff, made Kenzo look bad, made Soyeon feel bad for wearing Kenzo when that's the other unnie's favorite brand, or because that other unnie is incredibly lame and Soyeon doesn't want to be associated with her. Who knows. Some OTHER person then comes in and makes jokes about the character on the shirt, who looks like Stitch (from Lilo & Stitch, I presume). The folds in the shirt make the "Stitch" look angry, old, wrinkled, etc, and they're just talking about the character on the shirt the whole time. I'm not entirely sure of the context in the wedding talk that showed up afterwards, this was possibly in reference to the girl that wears all the KENZO stuff Soyeon initially mentioned.

Now, based on what you choose to believe, assuming this stuff is true, that's a pretty damn harmless conversation.

Now we hear "eNEWS is an MNET company, they were probably paid to do this" and "so why didn't CCM say this to begin with? and why did they apologize, if it was so harmless?" etc. They say the covnersation as it was posted for the initial controversy had the image edited out, so I would imagine you could just ask "if this was really so bad, why would the original poster edit out the image? It's obvious they were trying to start trouble from nothing!" People like to grasp at straws when it comes to painting the most negative picture possible and raining down dat judgment...

But what are you gonna do, people will be people. They just better not affect my right to enjoy more T-ara in the future. with both my eyes and ears.

Unfortunately, that rant and the news that the controversy was edited...kinda killed the drama. So, with that, the thread also calms down
