GQ: The Senbatsu General Election is around the corner. Shimazaki-san, you placed 5th in the (May 21th) preliminary report. Which rank do you want for this year?

Shimazaki: Any rank is fine……。

GQ：What? You don’t have the ambition to rank first?

Shimazaki: No.

GQ：Where do you want to rank then?

Shimazaki: U〜n……、nowhere in particular。

GQ：You don’t care at all about your rank?

Shimazaki: Well, last year, AKB fans were paying a lot of attention to what rank I might receive, but not really this year.

GQ：Last year、when you ranked up to 12th, were you happy?

Shimazaki: It was like, so that’s about it, huh.

GQ：Conpared to other members, in which area do you have confidence that will you not lose to anyone?

Shimazaki: U〜n…… I don’t have any such confidence.

GQ：What was your most enjoyable experience since joining AKB?

Shimazaki: I don’t have (a particular experiece to tell you).

GQ：But standing on stage, seeing all those fans and glowing sticks is the best part, right? That sight must be overwhelming, right?

Shimazaki: My eyesight is bad, so I can’t see it.

GQ：（lol）。Are you using contact lenses right now?

Shimazaki: I’m not using them all the time, more like, I don’t really mind if everything is blurred all the time. I do use glasses at home when I watching television, though.

GQ：（lol）。Shimazaki-san, did you always have this quiet personality since way back?

Shimazaki: Yeah.

GQ：But with members you are close with, you can talk just fine right?

Shimazaki: Well, everyone is actually surprised, when I start to talk. When I sometimes laugh during an MC, they rejoice ‘Paruru is laughing!’

GQ：So it’s like a 「Klara has stood up！」 moment like in Heidi（lol）。

GQ：In the far future, what sort of job do you want to do besides being an idol?

Shimazaki: I might open a select shop, I would like to start designing clothes.

GQ：Your clothes today are beaming with your personality (soft lolita and metallic shoes), which stores are you shopping at?

Shimazaki: I am shopping online most of the time.

GQ：Are you reading and researching magazines?

Shimazaki：I am reading 『NYLON JAPAN』.

GQ：Are you talking about fashion with fellow members?

Shimazaki: I am getting the feeling that when it comes to talking about fashion, we don’t really match (lol)

GQ：（lol）。What do you want to do after you have graduated from AKB?　For example do you want to become an actress and start acting?

Shimazaki: If possible, I would like to become an acress, but if it doesn’t work out, there is no other option but to marry, I believe.

GQ：Well then, if you were to marry, what are you looking for in a man?

Shimazaki: My parents are very talkative, I would prefer a cheerful person.

GQ：What would be your ideal date as an adult?

Shimazaki: I don’t know. But, I can’t do it anymore though, I wanted to do a school uniform date. Because I never experienced this.
