If it doesn't see a standard USB mouse as mouse, something is wrong with the driver database, or something is interfering with the whole system.

Yeah, I've done both but its not any better.

Uh...

My iPod Nano just spontaneously deleted all of my videos and songs. What the hell?

I'm also unable to drag and drop new songs on to it using iTunes. It's going to be a boring walk to school tomorrow.

When I first bought it, the iPod locked up every 5 minutes when I tried to play anything on it. I did the reset and it's worked fine for a couple weeks - till now.

Grr. I hate Apple!

I reset the iPod software and it works again. I think the mistake I made was setting to synchronize podcasts, probably...

Anyway, I had insomnia last night so I refilled it. I'm still missing a few PVs since I didn't keep the MP4 encodes. I'll give Super (C) some time to churn those out again this evening while I play Wii.

Please recommend me a software (free if possible) that will allow me to conveniently edit MP3 tags (v2) with Japanese characters. No big media library / management / online store / whatever kind of stuff, just a simple tool.
I used Winamp but v2 tags get screwed up. v1 tags work fine but in some cases, the character limit really sucks.

Thanks for the recommendation. I downloaded it, will install it later. Overview looks promising.
One (sort of) related question tho. Just now I put an mp3 file (and it really is just one file) onto my PSP and, to my surprise, it showed up with a thumbnail (single cover).
Looks interesting. Can I do that with foobar? If not, what would I need?

foobar pretty much lets you pretty much customize the player to your liking. Before you needed a bunch of add-ons (which I still use since I like it better than the built in stuff). But the newer version has built in layout options. There should be a way to add some kind of album art panel though. Just mess around with it.

If you want to go the older way, which I prefer, there's a foobar2000 thread in here(though not really active) with some links and it might answer some questions you have. You pretty much need the columbsUI and album art panel. The Hydrogenaudio.com forum and foobar wiki is a great resource to help you learn more about it.

Well, The other day, my internet laptop harddrive failed to boot up. =_=! I was pretty scared that it had actually died because after I tried turning it back up, It kept giving me an error message saying that the the harddrive had an "internal HDD error".. @_@ I let the laptop rest for an hour and in hopes of trying to salvage what I could, It booted up just fine. But then that got me a bit paranoid, so I went and bought a new harddrive from newegg -.-; Thing is, I forgot to buy one of those external enclosures for the new one and now I'm sort of in a pickle..

So, onto my question; I'll be using Acronis True Image 11 to clone the drive. But since I don't have (and can't buy) the external enclosure for the new laptop hdd, Would it be possible to clone my current drive to my 300gb external drive and then insert the new laptop hdd and then "restore" it using acronis? @.@ Sorry if I'm not making any sense but, I need to do this quick because I just know with my luck - my current hdd will fail again soon. =_=

probably your ports aren't forwarded

in preferences under connections make sure "enable UPnP port mapping" is checked, it should forward your ports automatically.

Yeah, Acronis has a boot cd which you can make. On a whim, I just completely cloned the drive on the external and then I swapped out the old with the new. Then ran the bootup cd and Acronis recognized the external HD and then I 'restored' the new one with the cloned data. Everything works like a charm. Only thing I'm a bit peeved about is that I have to partition the rest of the new hard disk to use the rest of the space I have available. :3 Oh well. x.o

So pretty much problem fixed. ^^ Thanks.

Why do songs on my iTunes sometimes skip 'repeatedly' while it's playing? Not every like 10 seconds or something, but...every 1 second. It doesn't happen all the time, but it does on occasion.

^ Does it beep? There are some beep sequences that indicate what the problem might be.
