General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with left-winger Teemu Hartikainen on a three-year NHL entry level contract.

Hartikainen, the Oilers 6th round choice, 163rd overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, recently completed his second season with KalPa Kuopio of the Finnish National League scoring 33 points (15G, 18A) in 53 games.

lol i went to the Oilers locker room sale and just got in some autographs with Tom Gilbert and Jason Strudwick, I asked them who their cup picks were "Blackhawks!" haha

Q: This was Michael Leighton's third shutout of the series, but how much credit does the defense deserve for the way it performed today?

Leino: We played good defensively. We were blocking tons of shots, and we didn't give them many good scoring chances. They were all from tough angles.

Q: How much of a boost did Jeff Carter and Ian Laperriere provide?

Leino: That was good for us. We've got more depth now and Jeff is always dangerous on the ice. He's got a good shot and Ian was working just great on the PK. He adds a lot of character to our team.
