I hoped Jessica would get more camera time, seems like the only memorable time I have of her was when Rina smacked her across the head with the slipper.

She did become kind of the official 'announcer' character after Orii-san left. She wasn't anywhere near as good at it as Orii-san, but at least she found her niche.

Speaking of Jessi, have you guys heard of Pachinko Jogakuen (Pachinko Girl's Academy)? It's yet another pachinko show, but I think that it's probably the one post-OneMasu show featuring ex-Muscats that's the closest in spirit to OneMasu. It's got kind of a similar character-focused comedic sense and the parts of the show that take place in the studio are pretty fun. It is a pachinko show though, and the show goes downhill once the action moves into the pachinko parlors, IMO. It stars several ex-Muscats, all from the Duo Entertainment agency (Kishi, Kizaki, and Kijima) along with fellow agency-mate Nozomi Mayu. Jessi, in particular seems a lot more comfortable here than she ever was on OneMasu. She seems to have taken the role of the 'ero' character here ;)

Check out the first episode ... they don't actually venture into any pachinko parlors in this one, which of course makes it the best episode (you'll need to be running Google Chrome and the Unblock Youku extension to view it)

If you ever came across the fan vid for Reikan Shoujo A, the song Kawamura Ena sang alone on the EbiMasu first album, then you will notice this is the episode that was used.  I've searched for this specific episode: one, because Ena is a cutey; two, it's always a plus to see one of the back members in front of the cameras.

Oh Mizuki Uruha...why did you have to leave so soon...
Very beautiful girl. sadly, her time with the Muscats was very short  :( Thanks for the vids!

Wow, I've never seen that fan vid. Which is a shame because Reikan Shoujo A is one of my favorite songs. Anyway, good episode!

A fake tabloid cover on everything Muscats. Supposedly for an upcoming DVD. Wonder what the 'scandalous' stories are. With Acky and Shou as the main cover, I can only imagine it's the latter confessing their love for Acky. Which isn't tabloid gossip, it's 100% accurate!

Seeing that cover and thinking about it a bit more made me realise that Acky/Shou are probably the couple that I would wanna 'ship' out of all of the Muscats. Maybe Aino and Jessica too. Based on what you've seen on the show or in live concerts, are there any two Muscats that you would ship together? Two Muscats who would make a good couple?

Well yeah, I can't understand even a thing in that picture.  :banghead:
I need to learn more on how to read kanji

I'd say Shou and Acky too. I don't know what's going on between them (maybe Shou really like Acky or what) but I think they'll be good together as a couple.
And Yuria.. I want to see more about Yuria. She need to be paired with someone because as much as I know she didn't have a best buddy when she's on EbiMasu. Maybe she can be paired with Ogura, Kasumi or Aoi, the 'no shy and very confident' type of girl.

I'd like to see Minori's trip to Thailand someday...
Do you mean the trip with Rin Sakuragi?
If so, you can watch http://i.youku.com/u/UMzI4ODgyNTAw/videos.

Wow. This is awesome. Yeah, they're releasing a big compilation 'bento' box set next month. On twitter, Maccoi Saito asked fans about what they want to see in the set, so I assumed that it was just going to be fan favorites and a lot of stuff I've already seen. But it looks like they're stuffing it with a lot of unreleased footage as well :w00t: Looking at the Amazon listing, it's a 3-disc set. The 1st disc devoted to 'Ooku' - favorites and never-before-seen.  The 2nd disc is the "Best Of" disc with segments like Skatto Telephone, News Rio, Purukawa, etc. The 3rd disc (what I think Tuffty posted) is segments that never made it to air, with titles like "Hatsune Minori's Lonely Single-Person Cheer Squad", "Kasumi Kaho's Doubts", "Nishino Sho's Talk de Show", "Acky's Zakkeroni ":?, etc. The 'scandalous stories' hint at the contents of that third disc - stuff that never aired for one reason or another, but can be released now that the show is over.  I'll translate a few:

•The headline next to Ogawa -  “Suspicious?! Ogawa Asami. Mysterious sexy dance party”
•The one next to Kobayashi P -  “Muscats love. K producer’s top secret text message obtained.”
•The rumored footage. Satomi Yuria confesses to K Producer.
•The darkness that the Muscats gravure members speak of
•Zako discloses one member's "forbidden relationship"
•The night of K-Dama N-Ko and one J-leaguer's 'Victory Goal'.
•And the one with Acky and Nishino "“Too Dangerous!! The Theater of N-No Sho’s twisted love for Acky”

Intriguing. And now I'm super-excited about this box set, particularly the third disc.

And Yuria.. I want to see more about Yuria. She need to be paired with someone because as much as I know she didn't have a best buddy when she's on EbiMasu. Maybe she can be paired with Ogura, Kasumi or Aoi, the 'no shy and very confident' type of girl.
The impression that I got was that she was one of the more well-liked members of the group who got along with just about everyone. Her nickname within the group was Yuria Nee-san. Outside of the Muscats, she's a member of 'Pebu' - a friend group with Yamanaka, Kodama, Mui, and Rion that's kind of like a field trip/social activity group. Kind of like Aoi's DARA group with Rika and Nagasaku (and their non-showbiz friend).

Thanks for posting this. I've always wanted to give this episode another look. I didn't really like it at first because I was less aware of how scripted the show actually was. I thought it really was just them following Ena around and documenting her bad luck. Now I want to go back and try to find whatever comedy seeds the staff might have planted.

Nagasaku announced on her blog and on twitter last night that she'll be starting her music career under the name AiLi :twothumbs  I wish her great success. Her debut performance is set for this coming Friday 11/29 and can be seen on Ustream at this link at 17:30 Japan time. She'll also apparently be celebrating her 20th year in showbiz next March with a concert. I had no idea that she's been around that long.

Thanks for the info, illnerdism. Looks like it will be an awesome set! Price is a bit high, though. I'm already broke after buying the Sotsugyou album and the last live concert...

Those are great news! I'm definitely going to buy her CDs. She is a great dancer and singer. She's also very cute.

It arrived today (yay!) Four DVDs with the last two concerts. It does cost a LOT of money but I think is worth it  :)
These scans are taken from the book that comes with the DVDs (sorry for the low quality, I'm not very good at scanning things...).

Oh... and I bought this little thing as well. I love to see some hot Gravure Idol action XD

Saemi, somehow, looks different than usual..
I liked it. She looks more mature :inlove:

Your welcome! The shows are amazing but they are also very sad! The last one almost made me cry towards the end
Only the pre-order version came with a bonus (I think it was a picture or something like that), but I didn't have enough money at that time :( The fourth disc is a documentary on the concerts.
Anyways, sorry for my english! I need to study more...

Thanks for posting the scans. I'd love to own this DVD set someday, but $100 is rough.

AiLi's performance from last night is online. She can sing! But you guys knew that already. Looking forward to her original songs.
Sunshine Street Stage Vol.43 2013.11.29 AiLi—在线播放—优酷网,视频高清在线观看

BTW, keep an eye on the user 'zaftx23s' on Youku - he (I'm assuming it's a he) is doing a great job of keeping up with and posting ex-Muscats members' media appearances. The latest episode of Mui's radio show Cho-Fuan Desu with Rukawa Rina was also just posted. They actually spend a good amount of time talking about Saemi - listeners wrote in wondering if it's possible to have an actual conversation with her  Rina answers that when they're together, they only seem to have serious conversations. They also talk about how when she first appeared, Ogi called Rina "medium build" during Kawaii Koshien, which she didn't take very well. But by the time that Mui joined the show, Rina was already one of Ogi's favored members. Rina also brings back her parrot impression at listeners' request and unveils her 'Crayon Shin-chan' impression as well. The have a fun, lively conversation and I wish the show was longer. The interviews are usually only about 15-20 min. long and the show only comes on once a month

So I turned the wifi on my phone when I got out of work, sure enough I got a twitter notification. That's nice, wonder what it was about. Turns out it was this:

"@rio_lv_vly and @kizaki_jessica now follow you on twitter"

Wait.....WHAT?! So I clicked on that link so hard, but it doesn't show that Rio or Jessica are following me on twitter after all. Checked my emails cause usually I get a notification there if someone followed me, but no emails. I know I'm not imagining it because when I clicked on the link it took me to Rio's new twitter profile otherwise I wouldn't have known it exists. It was like they followed but then quickly unfollowed. Weird, thinking it's like some weird automated thing by livedoor blogs that just follows back accounts that are following Rio or Jessica but it then went away? Dunno. Must be something like that. Otherwise why the fuck would both Rio and Jessica choose to follow me on the same day! One alone would be fucking sweet!

Anyway yes you read right, finally Rio has a twitter account. Go follow that hottie for more pics like this.

*EDIT*

Actually scratch that story, checked the tablet and reading it closer it says that Jessica started following Rio's account, not that they were both following me. Weird, never seen a notification of someone following another person. Oh well, the brief fantasy was fun while it lasted :nervous
