Even though I really don't log on to this forum much anymore (except when it's Fantasy Football time), I've been keeping tabs on this topic and I was surprised to see some subbed Muscats videos and definitely had to check it out.  The subs for the most part I feel are pretty accurate and they've helped me understand the Kawaii Koushien game a lot better (didn't realize that the introduction of each member who acted out the scenario included a "uniform number").

How ya doing? New guy, here. Feel like I've arrive well after the ship has sailed...but never mind. I'm studying Japanese. I stumbled across the Muscats on Youtube. Japanese study can get pretty dull. I started using the Muscats as a way to practice my listening skills. It kind of snowballed from there. I've learnt some very interesting vocabulary!  XD  Just for shits and giggles, I've written new 'uniform numbers' for some of the girls:

Sora ‘Gin and Tonic’ Aoi
Minori ‘Stone cold killer’ Hatsune
Rika ‘The Chin’ Kawamura
Aika ‘Hi-hi-waisto’ Ando
Sho ‘AC/DC’ Nishino
Kaho ‘Gusset’ Kasumi
Akiho ‘My poop smells like Chanel No.5’ Yoshizawa
Saemi ’40 watt’ Shinohara
Airi ‘Oppai flasher’ Nagasaku
Asami ‘Wemember’ Ogawa
Rion ‘T-back butt rash’ Sakamoto
Rio ‘Where’s my 20 thousand yen?’
Aino ‘Porn Bambi’ Kishi
Risa ‘Short fuse’ Kasumi
Ai ‘Double scoop’ Sayama
Yuria ‘Delicious!’ Satomi
Rina ‘Jessica slapper’ Rukawa
Mihiro ‘The Tease’
Haruka ‘The Eating Machine’ Ogura
KONAN ‘The Kansai Hit-girl’
Nanako ‘Whaaaaaaaaaaah!’ Kodama
Ayako ‘The Brain/Pig-pen’ Yamanaka
Ena ‘Spooky’ Kawamura

My favourite Muscats are Sho nishino, Risa Kasumi, Minori Hatsune, Aika Ando, and Yuria Satomi.

Oh well...back to study.  Thanks guys.

 :welcome

Welcome Tetsujin 28! Those are some awesome, well-observed uniform numbers. Asami 'Wemember' Ogawa made me laugh. I applaud you, sir  :thumbup

I noticed a little commotion among the Muscats members on Twitter earlier today concerning Ando on the show Ookubo Ja-Night, so I checked it out. Here’s last night’s episode - skip ahead to about 11:40 for Aika’s section:

140209 大久保じゃあナイト大久保じゃあナイト

It’s a Valentine’s Day themed episode and in Japan, the Valentine’s custom is for the girl to buy the chocolates and confess their feelings to the guy. It’s explained in the setup that Aika and her artist boyfriend (known here as ‘Pao-chan’) have been together for almost four years and she wants to use this opportunity to propose to him (I actually remember mention of this artist boyfriend during OneMasu). She explains in the interview that she wants to be married by age 30. The interviewer says, “well, you’re still just 27, right?”,  to which she replies “I’m 29. I’m not 27.” (revealing that she’s been lying about her age all this time) and that she’s nearing her ‘time limit’. So with the chocolates purchased and the atmosphere set, Aika is feeling pretty nervous - she says that when they first got together, he’d constantly talked about ‘wanting to always be together’ and wanting to get married, but he hasn’t said anything like that lately. Yamaguchi shows up and reassures her, having talked to Pao-chan beforehand and confirming his feelings. But when Aika finally proposes, he tells her that he wants to wait a little bit, and that as a man, he feels like he isn’t prepared yet. She obviously doesn't take it well. When he’s asked about it later though, he says that he will eventually marry her … so yay?

I also found this video while searching for Yamanaka’s recent episode of Koriki no Kobeya. Ayako seems a lot more, uh, accommodating this time while showing off her apartment  ;)

My apologies in advance if this is not allowed in artist threads, or if it's considered disruptive, but I just wanted to ask if anyone here wants some free Ebisu Muscats singles?

I'm offering:
Banana Mango High School / 12 no 34 de Naite with Namida Yonshimai [Types A+B+C]
OECURA MAMBO / Watashi Mambo [Types A+B+C]
Chocolate / Kawaii Koushien [Types A+B+C]
Spring Holiday / Kuchigenka Shinaide [Types A+B+C]

All of them are in excellent condition and all come with obis and shipping will be free as well (so you don't have to pay anything at all) but the trade-off is that they will be sent without cases and by the cheapest method available. I was going to try selling them at Book-Off in NYC the next time I go there, but since I have no idea when that will be, I'd rather give them away for free to a good home instead of donating them to Goodwill and having them possibly end up trashed since they're obscure items.

If anyone is interested just send me a PM and we'll work out the details. :)

Well, watching Ayako's apartment, makes me curious.. Is the hole on the wall which someone from Onemasu SP made with a dart that day still there?
Is that show about visiting some idols' apartment?

Welcome tetsujin! Nice to meet you  :)2 I'm currently studying japanese and english languages. I'm still at basic/intermediate level (english is a bit easier to learn, though). And yes, I also learned a lot of new words thanks to this show  XD

Sorry for the long absence. My internet connection suddenly got cut for several days! :( About the Maccoi video, I finally saw it ( it was the last video of the the third DVD, the one with the fake tabloid cover). Sadly I can barely understand what are they saying (I need to hit the books again...) but they were laughing during the whole segment. Doesn't look like he's joking, though...
And wow, Ayako's room looks much better this time. It is nice to see she has a 3DS :) (I have a japanese 3DS too!).

Nice to meet you, too, PhantomJin.
One major problem – I have -  with the Japanese used by the Muscats is the slang Japanese, and the ‘cute girl’ Japanese. Most dictionaries just don’t list that stuff…sigh.

And what’s with all that censorship of certain words? Rio uses the Japanese word for slut (yariman), which I’ve heard is a REALLY bad word to use in Japan; and they don’t censor it. Yet, they censor チ〇ポ. As far as I know, Muscats was a late night show. Seems kind of weird…

Asami Ogawa is only 167cm (5 feet 5 inches) tall, yet her legs look really frickin’ long. Is it some kind of weird optical illusion? If it is, then thank God for optical illusions!

I know it’s a cliché, but Sho Nishino really does look more beautiful when she is angry. I love that episode when she shouts, “GO HOME!” I wish I could make it the ring tone on my phone.

I enjoy watching Minori Hatsune slapping people, but I don’t know why. :?

I enjoy watching Yuma Asami dance, and I DO know why.

Sayoko Ohashi was one of the sexiest Muscats, but – kind of – went under the radar (probably because she was in BMS).

Rion Sakamoto was the best at dissing people.

On Youtube, I was watching episode 01/51 (season 1), and there in the back row, on the right-hand side is Maria Ozawa. I wonder why didn’t become a regular Muscat? Her choice? The producer’s choice?   Does anybody know?

I'm studying basic and intermediate Japanese too, yet I still don't understand kanji(s) very much, how to read and how to write.

I know nothing about Maria Ozawa. By the time I know Ebimasu for the first time (early 2011), she wasn't on the line up already. But, something I know, some members just went out of the group (or usually they're graduated) with no graduation ceremony especially for some members who are in Oecura/Watashi Mambo - Spring Holiday era. And still, I don't know the reason, but my guess, it's the producer's decision.

Thanks for checking. It's probably nothing big (otherwise, I figure people would be making a bigger deal out of it if there was a serious chance of the group reuniting) but man I wish I could watch the video and confirm it myself :/

The heels/shoes probably help, but I think it's mostly because she's a giant compared to the other members. A good number of them (particularly the 'main' members, other than Acky) are under 160cm.

I actually dig the cornrows. I like that some of them have signature looks that help define their 'character' within the group, like the cornrows or Rukawa's twin tails.

Anyway, dunno if you guys have seen this yet. It's AiLi performing one of her original songs 'Habataku Hi Made' (Until The Day We Flap Our Wings?) at the same Sunshine Street Stage venue where she performed a few months ago.

Always good to see Yuma's smile. And Acky without make up is looking mighty fine too. Still hard to believe sometimes that they're full on hardcore pornstars XD

Sho posted a couple of pictures on her twitter:
