A shame to hear Aino is retiring. She will be missed. With Rio's inactivity over the past few months, I fear she may have retired without a proper farewell. Asami Ogawa retired a few months ago as well. These are dark times if you're a JAV fan! I think the last to retire, will probably be Jessica and possibly Minori or Hana. Acky, Sho and Yuria can't have that many AV's left (as much as I hope they continue. Lesbian AV together please!!!), Rina will get chewed up and spat out by SOD because that always happens with them and Airi won't be in it for much longer based on recent performances.

Acky and Yuma with Anri Okita at the DMM Awards 2015. I hoped Anri and JULIA would have made it onto the Muscats. Almost impossibly adding even more eye candy to an amazing looking roster of beautiful women.

Acky is still on S1, Sho is siding with ATTACKERS, and Yuria is still on PREMIUM...among the three, Yuria has a new vid to be released this month, I guess.

About Aino's retirement, she said that even if she is retired, she will be still active on Twitter.

As for Rio, IdeaPocket released her 4-Hour Special Omnibus, which is, for me, a decent farewell gift for her...

As for Anri, her English is exquisite. In fact, at the Awards Night, she give a speech to her fans in English. I'm not sure if Yuma is surprised to hear that!

A preview of my "Editorial"-ish post later on..

Here is a pic of Aino Kishi during the DMM.R18 Adult Awards Night that hits me straight into my heart due to its "heavy" feeling

As if at that pic, she is thinking for her future after her retirement.

My reaction regards Aino Kishi's retirement.

I've became a fan of Aino ever since my first glimpse of Ebisu Muscats (back then, I was watching Choito just to expand my fandom for the girls). Aino, for me, is an energetic gal. Always dedicated. A funny gal, and even funnier if you add Kaho Kasumi. She also created a "sibling" bond alongside Rio (who became her "inspiration" for entering AV and whom she had a Video with for IdeaPocket) and Yuma Asami, which for me, is more evident.

Whether if it is AV or in the Muscats, Aino was dedicated. She is compassionate, much same as Yuma. No wonder Yuma choose her among the girls to be the 3rd Generation Leader.

As you've seen and heard, Aino declared her retirement on the DMM.R18 Adult Awards Night. It left a shock amongst the audience, striking to the back of their heads that this girl (Aino) "has more potential to soar higher in the industry." Even I was shocked at first. What is even more surprising is that in her blog, she said that she will cut her ties not just to AV but also to the Entertainment World. This leaves a question to my mind, and to everyone's mind as well, "What will Aino do now after her retirement?"

Yes, Aino is quite young for retirement, but everything has an end.

Her declaration of retirement is like her declaration that Muscats will be disbanded.
Yuma Asami giving the Special Award to her is like the passing of two leaders...two generations.

For me, it is sad yet everything needs to move forward. I agree to what she said on her blog. Her retirement will now be considered as a "good-bye," much similar to Muscats' "Abayo." Her "Abayo" will not last forever. In the future, you might even see her in some random place.

-End-

Yeah, yeah, couldn't agree more to that statement. Even Ebisu's been off for years, they are the second jpop group (but the first idol group) that I would love to have all of the songs, albums, and MVs. I remember during early 2011 when I knew Ebisu for the first time there's no single night that I spent without watching their MV(s). Sounds corny but no kidding.

Late 2012 they announced their retirement soon and that news was a shock, for me and probably for all of you as well. Knowing that they're going to launch their ABAYO as their last album, I took out most of my saving and bought the cd and deluxe photo album, knowing that they wouldn't launch anymore products. Yep, still sounds corny, but no kidding again
I agree. I became a fan of Ebisu Muscats during the SP era of the show and then BAM! It ended... Even to this day I still listen to most of their songs since they are very catchy.

I am kinda envy of some of you. I mean...I know Muscats for a year now...they are not known here...so their CDs are none to be seen even in some Conventions where JPOP CDs were sold.
Hmm... here where I live, nobody really talks about Ebisu Muscats or Japanese girls in general, not even in Anime or japanese themed events :smhid I bought their CDs and DVD stuff mostly from import sites such as CDJapan.

Anyway, for you, guys, what is The Most Embarassing Muscat Moment?

We will call it The "Hasukashi" Awards!
I think that "Kappa Cosplay Punishment game" you posted some weeks ago qualifies as one of the most embarrassing moments for the girls.

Aaanyway, I'll share some Mihiro pics from a recent Weekly Playboy Issue. I think she looks gorgeous as usual :inlove:

I just read Acky's speech for DMM.R18 Adult Awards for Best Actress...and I will summarize it for you, guys.

-She is thankful that her nomination in the said award was continued since last year, and giving her the opportunity to set foot on the stage.

-She said that she doesn't mind those who suggested her to retire nor to those who are asking on why she is still active. She said that she loves her profession.

-Frankly, she said that she really wanted to win, that she wanted to hear her name, but she said that she hopes to catch that moment.

-Finally, she offer her thanks to those who supported her.

For me, her speech was a "Minori Slap," since she worked so hard that she really want that title. Among the Big 4 (Her, Sola, Yuma, Rio), she was the last woman standing, so obviously the term, "retirement," is still not in her vocabulary. For her, she has a lot to do since she is the flag-bearer of both S1 and Maxing. She lost the title this year, but she is now motivated to "steal the show" in more future awards.

Well, so far, we have two surprising speeches from both Kishi and Yoshizawa. One wanted to retire while the other one wanting to move even higher.

Also, it is a great Irony that Yuma adviced Kishi while presenting the Special Award that she has a lot of things to do in future. "You just have to stretch your body," she said.

I'd also like to nominate this scene for most embarrassing moment, but I don't know what episode it's in..
Don't know whether ShinoSae was acting or not but in case she's not acting, I feel bad for her..

That's from the Last Kohaku before they disbanded. Even I was confused if Saemi is acting or not. I also almost count how many falls Yuika had.

I suppose my interest in Ebimasu was that I got see these girls do stuff they didn’t usually do.

A gravure idol or an AV actress usually does a fairly limited range of things. I’m not saying I don’t enjoy watching that limited range of ‘things’. But, I’m sure I’m not the only one who has looked at a gravure idol posing by the side of a pool and thought, “I’d like to know more about this person.” The context of gravure and AV rarely give them a chance to do anything but those things they’re being paid to do. Gravure idols don’t do comedy, and AV actresses don’t sing.

Ebimasu gave me a chance to know these people in a way that couldn’t have otherwise. I found out that Kaho can do comedy, and that Nagasaku can sing. I found out that Yamanaka is well educated, but lives like a slob :O (I kind of wish I had never seen the inside of her apartment). I found out that Asami Ogawa acts dumb (but probably isn’t), and loves to troll people. I found out what I sharp tongue Rio has. I found out that Acky can improvise, and that Aoi can’t. I found out that Yuma almost never gets angry, and that Kasumi Risa gets angry really quickly. I found out that Mihiro can look sweet and innocent even while she is singing a song about dicks. I found out how quirky Yuria is.  I found out to never argue with KONAN, and never offer to buy Ogura dinner. And I found out how sexy hair can be (Saaaaayoko! ) These women went from being ‘2D’ – images on a computer screen – to being something more like a real human being.

I’m not saying that everything I saw was real, or the truth. But, it was possible to read between the lines; to get some idea who these women really were.  It was/is fun. That's the saddest thing about someone like Kishi retiring completely. I know I'll never get to know anymore about her.

I agree with Tetsujin here... *fistbump* I also discussed that along with a friend...yes, being in AV has high risks...but the reward can be sweet (just look at Mihiro).

Even I saw the different side of the girls that I don't see usually in their respective careers.

Yuma was a patient one who always smiles, Rio can control her laughs the longest (see Acky's Chocolate Party) and she just simply smiles, Acky can be indescribable at some point...in fact, she is unique for me. Sho can be a versetile cosplayer, Ando CAN kick *ss, Minori CAN be cute and bad*ss, Sola is "Miss Congeniality," Kaho is a well-versed comedian...no doubt about that, Rina is a sweetpuff(cuz she is the youngest among the girls), Ririka is a hardworking mom (Happy Mothers' Day for you, champ!), Manami CAN be a member of a ballet troupe someday, Ena is sometimes "Little Miss Friday the 13th," Mui can be charming yet goofy, Saemi is down to earth simple, Yui is bubbly...you can insert any adjective that can describe each Muscat...whether if it is a current member or one of the alumni.

I wanted to learn more about the girls...and I am so happy that can accomodate Foreign fans...I always send them pics of their muscat days...I was smiling from the fact that Yamaguchi, Nagasaku, Kuriyama, Kuribayashi, and some others noticing it on Twitter..

Yes, I admit...the chances of seeing them perform together again are S.L.I.M...but no one stop me from dreaming, right? Heck, if she has the mood, Kishi can keep her Muscat badge and frame it.

anyway, lemme ask you guys somethin'?
If you had one Muscat MV in mind that you want to have a reboot (Banana Mango High School is exclusive because WE all know that WE want to have a reboot ver of the MV), what is it?

Mine would be...CHOCOLATE.
