Man Dons McNabb Jersey To Rob Bank

PHILADELPHIA - The FBI and Philadelphia police are seeking the public's help to identify a man wearing an Eagles jersey who robbed a bank Tuesday in Mayfair.

UPDATE: FBI Identifies Bank Robbery Suspect

The robbery occurred at 2:36 p.m. at the PNC Bank branch located at 6855 Frankford Avenue when the man entered the bank and "verbally threatened the teller with violence," according to an FBI news release.

After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the man ran from the scene.

The robber was described as a white male in his 40s up to 50 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a medium build, closely cropped dark, salt-and-pepper hair, clean shaven and wearing the green Eagles No. 5 McNabb jersey.

Authorities released three images of the man and urged that he be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about him is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department.
