Replacement refs did a great job in the first game. That's the most I have seen refs let players actually play in years. No more Ed Hochuli and Mike Carey trying to get themselves more screen time than the players. XD

Yeah, not bad at all.  Mike Carey has made some questionable calls over the years but Ed Hochuli looks like he can take someone out.  It's only been one game so we'll have to wait until Sunday and Monday to see how the refs do in all those other games.  If they make bad calls in some of these games that cost me some fantasy points, I'm gonna be really pissed.

curse you all and your higher waiver priorities!!! RAWR

Also, I'm thinking about testing the trade waters with Andrew Luck. So much hype on this guy but I need to fill some needed spots. Any takers?

^ dropping players already Forthis?! XD Just dance

FINALLY!! NFL IS BACK FOR REAL  Sundays just weren't the  same without you baby.

Few things that made me reflect that this is more than just a game - THE STORIES. THE DRAMA. Fuckin hits you hard. When ESPN does their Tebow-Sanchez Reality Gossip Bullshit, doesn't even level to:

Junior Seau Dedications throughout, I'm sure. His suicide brought light to what Mental Health Issues still linger, and that is it trauma? Is it depression after the spotlight is off? Keeps bringing up thoughts on why ChrNo left us so soon. Must. Keep. Bringing. The Awareness, speak and talk to someone.

Art Modell, one of the pioneering owners. There wouldn't be expansion and lavish stadiums and teams moving cuz of him.

The Whole Bounty Scandal - like did I just hear that the Vilma etc player suspensions got tossed out?? Saints made to be an example. I wanna see that giant Sean Payton mural lol.

And the HOF speech by Curtis Martin: Just. Speech. Wow. Moms<3

"It's not what you achieve in life but who you become as a person due to those achievements." - Curtis Martin

“I’m so grateful to my mother. That is the strongest individual that I’ve ever known, and I appreciate her so much.” - Curtis Martin

WERD.

Who else made their Super Bowl Picks? No Brainer EAGLES ALL THE WAY.

I'd like to see em beat up Peyton Manning's Broncos. Lotsa good comeback stories in that one! No doubt the team will dedicate it to the loss of Andy Reid's son. You can be so dedicated to your squad that you lose sight on the family....tough losing Winston Justice to the Colts, with the secondary and offense on full training camp, THE DREAM TEAM is gonna take off. Sign up T.O. as insurance lol

Or else vick gonna end up like this

how bout dem Fantasy Football Teams eh! I got my share in JPHiPFL. Vick's Flak Jacket is unstoppable!

Andrew Luck talks to the talk, but with Da Bears in his face for game 1...hooly shit. Urlacher and Peppers gonna lay him OUT.

lol

Urlacher is gonna lay him out?!? All he'll be laying out is on his couch downstairs resting his old and beat up body. The guy has one knee and he'll be on limited/no practice to keep him game fresh because he's literally, and some pun intended, on his last legs. I'd be SURPRISED if he made it through the whole season. People around the league and in the media think Andrew Luck is the real deal. Hell, I may even start him if Eli can't get it done.

you gotta wheel n deal with something good but not now

well Vick really was thinking UPS, what can the Browns do for you? 4 return packages

And how about those Falcons? with the Packers and Saints going down today

The rookies had a mixed bag: RGIII did a job on the Saints, we'll see on a more patient defense, the Saints are always ball hawking so the NFC East will bring defenses that will test his abilities surprise team for the NFC East

Luck, Weeden, and Tannehill didn't do horrible but rookie mistakes

Wilson did good but not great

But surprises and parody rules the first week

I'm doing an overhaul on my Yahoo team after this.  A god-awful showing of D from the Saints.  I expected more from them since Jonathan Vilma made an inspiring speech before the game.  I could go on about their offense but I won't since they're working with a "3rd-string coach".  I guess the Saints still need an "incentive" to go out there and not give up 40 points to a team lead by a 2nd overall pick.  Speaking of top draft picks, my Andrew Luck Plan for my NFL FFL hasn't quite panned out so I'm gonna try to get some veteran presence onto my team.

^ Are you who I'm playing this week? I don't know a lot of the team names... but man yeah, tough week right there. What happened to that Saints D?

As for me, I'm all about Akers this week  8) Foster gave me some points too, but that needs to be a given... All in all, in general as much as I was hoping for this week. :) Another thing I was happy to see from the '9ers game was that Crabtree and Davis seem to be Smith's top targets... though Moss might steal a few TDs like Burress did for the Jets last year. :P

I think so.  I have the Saints D (until probably next weekend) if that's any hint.  I can agree that it's been a rough start for some of us.  Anywho, in terms of my NFL league, I'm glad Eric Decker didn't score a TD.  I still have a chance to win if I can average at least 10 points from my 3 players left (Ronnie Brown vs Oakland and Anquan Boldin + DEF vs Bengals).

I got really lucky this week.. my opponents bench almost scored more fantasy points than my starting roster... who knew Sanchez was gonna throw 35934 TDs and throw for 4000 yards??

Ah shaddup kuro :P You and your highest-scoring 80-ish points... Although it's true you may wanna do something about that Bills D :P

I'm having receiver trouble as always lol. Though again as usual my running backs seem in pretty good form...

To real NFL news, how about that Peyton Manning, huh?

Peyton Manning was looking goodddddd. I was watching the game and praying he would get in the redzone and hand off for TDs because I didn't need him single-handedly beating me in the fantasy league. When he was getting hit though I cringed every time. I hope he makes it through the whole season injury free. All in all I'm happy to come out of this first week with a win. Hopefully the next time the Jets score 48 points in a game Santonio Holmes gets a few more looks.

This week I think the WR's were the hardest to go by unless you were Julio Jones

Next week will be a battle for consistency

SHIT Manning just sliced and diced once they went back and forth with the no huddle. what's scary, is the running game is way better than what he had in indy so you get more screen passes like to Thomas. BOOM! 400th Career Touchdown!! Like faster than MArino and Favre. SNF is always the quality matchup. man it is so good to have him back in the league, making guys go for wicked strikes. OF COURSE they show you nothing in the pre-season... stupid pundits. Tamme lookin like Tony Gonzalez or smth :tama:

Lol apparently RGIII is starting a RGIII pose thing? I like Tebowing better XD

THAT was a pretty sick play, read the blitz pick em up so easy....NFC East better take notice.

ED REED TO DA HAUS! MNF just doesn't have the same punch zzzzzzzzz man Raiders was just like WTF Punt was that. The Temp Refs got abused haha. THE PLAY WAS OFF!! oh man.

parody rules the first week
you mean like this?

Here's me cheating on who's who, roks :P

kaede and I forget who else is playing too...narrowing it all down.
