how about that for a penalty by andrea pirlo?! that's a risky move, but the reward that comes by successfully doing that was immense. you can see the tide of the game change after that almost sneering penalty by pirlo. hart was looking confident, but perhaps too confident. the old gun pirlo saw that, decided to go for a psychological panenko, and it took the wind out of all the england player. as expected, a calm head is needed in a penalty shootout. andrea pirlo shows his experience and class.

i am disappointed for england, i wanted to see them in at least a semi final of a tournament. not sure when will that time arrive.

lol i shouldve joined the league when i had the chance. oh well, there's always the EPL next year! what fantasy soccer site are you guys playing on

and yup, i was rooting for italy to score 2, but was expecting a fightback from germany. didnt expect them to struggle against a team not even favorites to get past groupstage. i like both teams - both seems to play with discipline. i'd like to see andrea pirlo bow out from the international scene with a major trophy - assuming he's leaving after this tournament of course.

That Spanish side. Pretty good huh? I think in an era where hyperbole is used way too much, I do think there's a legitimate claim for this Spanish side being one of the best ever. They might not always play the best football but when they can turn it on, boy do they ever turn it on. Besides 3 major championships back to back for the first time ever is nothing to scoff at.

I surprisingly did alright in the Fantasy football! Confession: Once I picked some major players, I had the computer pick the rest :nervous Also, guess who came out on top in the Predictions Tournament? :D

Very disappointing Stryfe :D

I'll set up the JPH!P yahoo fantasy EPL when the time rolls around. Last season we also did the official barclay's fantasy, whose mechanics are identical to the one we did for the Euro, so possibly we'll run 2 fantasy leagues again this season. stay tuned!

Spurs with AVB as the new manager, just signed Sigurdsson, and looks like we'll grab Vertonghen too. This could be a good season.

Even better, I got tickets to see Spurs - Liverpool play, down in Baltimore, on the 28th. Can't wait :cokecat:

so what's up with the whole RVP thing? is he leaving or what? i personally doubt he will be able to replicate his Arsenal form elsewhere. as someone pointed out on youtube, he scored only one goal in euro whereas bendtner scored 2 rofl. i do still think he's class, just not sure his body would be able to sustain another full season after what, 5-6 seasons of constant injuries?

I don't think any reasonable club would sign RVP, given his likely cost, reasonable time left in the game, and injury history. I'd be more than happy to see him leave London, anyway..

So Spurs signed Vertonghen & Gylfi, it's said that a fee for Adebayor has been accepted, VDV likely to stay at the moment, Modric will be leaving for a good price, and there's still rumors of Lloris coming too.

This summer :hump:

Also: how about that 60m PSG bid for Zlatan/Thiago?

Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell offically unveiled as United's latest signings. Reports are also in that we're looking at getting Leighton Baines and Lucas Moura which could happen, although the price tags for both are apparently ridiculous. Baines at £25m? 18 yr old Moura for £30m?! Also I wish people would just stop with the RVP to Utd rumours. It. Won't. Happen.

British tabloids also doing some fine work already by uncovering that Kagawa's girlfriend is a JAV star.
