Copa America:

the best player award to Suarez (imo Guerrero was the best by far and second Forlan)
the most beaten goalkeeper won the best goalie award (but i think is fair enough)
the team with most cards (uruguay)won the Fair Play award... Abreu said that given the fair play to Lugano was like giving the peace nobel to binladen rofl

i lol'd so hard when they booed fifa chairman and peruvian one (when he recieved guerrero's  golden boot award

Since you guys seem like you've missed it,

here's Wednesday's match between Santos vs Flamengo. The score was 4-5...

but for me it was THE MATCH OF THE YEAR. Seriously not kidding here.

The highlights is 15 min long but I guarantee you it is worth EVERY second of your time.

In fact it's so good, I advise you to dl it and save it to your HDD.

Quick summary: Neymar vs Ronaldinho

Cracking match yesterday irrespective of which 2 teams were playing. Gotta say, I've left the match feeling very excited about the current lineup we have. Granted, Man City were completely uninspiring in the 2nd half (Blue Brazil? Really City fans? lol) which allowed us to go out and attack, but Utd showed that 'never say never' attitude with the subs we had made. Young looked like he'd been playing in the squad for a few years already. Anderson was immense. Welbeck showed huge promise and Jones and Smalling showed Ferdinand and Vidic they may have to play harder than ever to keep their roles (always a nice thing to have in a team). Gotta say though, Cleverly was a big interest for me, showed great awareness on the ball, pressing forward and had great vision. Bit of a rough day for De Gea but I have every confidence that our GK coaches will make him better. And considering the average age of our team yesterday was about 22? Exciting times.

A Dutch journalist has stated that Sneijder will sign for us on Thurs. Lots of Utd fans now saying we don't need him after Cleverly's performance yesterday, but I say get him. You'd get another world class talent there in the squad. And who's to say they can't play together? Can you imagine a midfield of Young/Cleverly/Sneijder/Nani? Sounds pretty good to me.

Also, Rafael De Silva was captain for all of 20 mins yesterday, and he's already won more trophies than Fabregas has for Arsenal :D

How about that Germany manhandling Brazil yesterday? :germany: Germany was pretty spectacular, in the first half especially. Lahm got real unlucky with his tackle on Alves, I reckon. THAT GOTZE

Looks like it'll be an exciting season ahead of us. Liverpool fans are delusional if they think they're anywhere near ready to make a challenge for the title.

Great to start the season with a win, especially an away one. Seems like a rarity last season.

Good match today. Press will be all over De Gea after his blunder, but I'm not worried. Goalkeepers are so hard to judge anyway, and aside from long range efforts, he's a good kicker of the ball. And people forget that he made a brilliant close range save just minutes before West Brom's goal. Besides, he's at Utd now where he'll get better training than he did at Madrid, and he's still young enough that he'll only get better.

Ashley Young, my word what a player. It's funny, cause of all the players we bought this summer, Young is one I tend to forget about. But he's already incredibly promising. Playing like he's been in the squad for a while already. Very excited about having him in the team now. Welbeck also playing well. Hope Rio and Vidic are gonna be ok. But again, I have faith in Smalling and Jones (or Evans if need be) to cover well.

In other news, rumour has it that Tevez will be going to Arsenal which is just the biggest pile of nonsense. Barton once again showing yesterday that for all of his philosophical (and often misattributed) quotes on Twitter, he's nothing but a faux-intelligentsia when he got into a row with Gervinho yesterday on the pitch. No wonder Newcastle are finding it hard to get rid of him. Plus, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea all drawing yesterday. I'll take that! :D

Real Madrid drew 2-2 with Barca in the Super Cup. Thus the critics who were telling us that Barca's poorer international friendly results would affect this season's La Liga have been proven wrong.

And to Man City I must give due credit for signing Aguero for 38 million pounds. He was MVP in the 4-0 win over Swansea yesterday. Scored a double and had one epic assist I reckon.

^Madrid looked a bit better during the first leg of the Super Cup. MY BOYS OZIL AND KHEDIRA

The first hour of the Mancity match was pretty ???. Mancity had tons of chances, but finally scored 2/3 of the way through. Aguero, Dzeko, Silva, and Toure all looked good. Vorm was real impressive for Swansea too.

Just want to see my Spurs in action on Thursday, now :hump:

Tottenham confident of sealing Emmanuel Adebayor loan deal in next 48 hours - so striker can make debut against Manchester United

GET HIM :hump:

On a related note, I happened to sign Adebayor in my new Football Manager 2011 Tottenham game. He's been incredible for the team, and leading the scoring. Partnered with Defoe (who is in good form in my game), and I'm top of the EPL :cokecat:
