Chapter 35 “So we’re all getting pretty close to each other,” Eri started. “Why don’t we speak on more informal terms now?”
The four girls were now sitting on the living room floor in a circle. Reina was focusing on drinking the beer. The other three girls were indulged in the conversation.
“I agree,” Ai said. “You’re welcome to call me by my first name, Kamei-san.”
“Okay, Ai-chan then,” Eri decided. “You can call me Eri-chan too. Or Eririn.”
“I’ll go with Eri-chan,” Ai laughed. “Gaki-san, you should call me Ai too.”
“Um… okay then. Just Ai,” Risa said.
“And I’ll call you Risa,” Ai agreed. “Reina, what about you?”
“It doesn’t matter, call me what you want,” Reina mumbled, drinking some more of the beer.
“We’ll all just go by our first names then,” Eri suggested. The other two girls nodded in agreement. The yankii rolled her eyes as if to say, “Whatever”.
The night continued on relentlessly. Soon, everybody was sipping bits of the beer Reina had brought because the junk food and the cake made all of them thirsty. They all talked and laughed except for Reina, who just listened in on the conversation and spoke only when spoken to.
Throughout the night, Ai’s cheeks started to turn soft pink, then magenta, then red. She suddenly leaned on Risa’s shoulder and breathed in to take in her scent. The bean, who was not drunk yet, flinched from the sudden contact.
“Risa~” Ai said, slurring her words, “this is the best party
ever~”
“Um, I’m glad you like it, Ai,” Risa replied, letting out a shaky laugh.
“You know, Risa,” Ai continued, yawning. “If you didn’t come back for me, I don’t know what I would’ve done… You’re so important to me…”
“You’re important to me, too,” Risa whispered.
“Don’t leave me again Risa… I need you…”
With that, the leader fell asleep on Risa’s shoulder, holding on to her arm. The bean smiled as she looked at Ai’s sleeping face. That was one moment when Risa wished time would just stop, so that she could be like this with Ai for a longer time. A sudden scream broke her thoughts.
“Oi, what do you think you’re doing?!” Reina yelled.
Risa turned to look at Reina, slowly inching away from Eri who was crawling towards the yankii. The turtle’s face was red; she was obviously drunk.
“Nee~ Reina-chan~” Eri giggled, “Do you want to kiss me?”
“Gaki, your friend’s losing it here!” Reina yelled, backing away a little more.
“Oh. I forgot to tell you to keep Eri away from alcohol…” Risa mumbled. She slowly got up with Ai’s arm around her neck to support her. “Reina, you and Ai can sleep over. I’ll lay an extra futon in my room; I can sleep in Eri’s room.”
“Wait!” Reina shouted, stopping the bean from leaving the living room. “What about Eri, you’re just going to leave her here?”
“I’m sure you can handle her, Reina,” Risa smirked. “Aren’t you the more experienced one?”
“I thought you didn’t like me touching her,” Reina growled.
“But you’re not after her right now;
Eri is after
you,” Risa replied innocently. “Bring her upstairs, okay?”
“W-wait a minute!”
But the bean turned and went up the stairs, supporting the sleeping leader. Reina turned her eyes back to the drunk turtle who was still smiling.
“Nee~ Reina-chan~” she said, slurring her words. “Can you kiss me?” She crawled closer to the yankii until she was practically on top of her, with her face only inches away.
“I- I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Reina said, turning away. She felt her face getting hotter. “
Damn it, what’s wrong with me?”
“But you kissed me before~” Eri pouted. “Am I not good enough anymore?”
“Will you snap out of it?” Reina yelled. “I’m warning you, you should back away—”
At that moment, Eri pushed the yankii’s shoulders, pinning her down on the floor. Before the younger girl could protest, the turtle dipped down and met her lips with her own. She kissed her over and over again, molding her own lips to fit her prey’s. Reina put her hands on her attacker’s shoulders as if to push her away, but made no real effort to do so. Her lips parted and Eri immediately took the opportunity to insert her tongue. A moan escaped from Reina’s throat.
“
Okay, that’s it!” Reina thought. “
I don’t care if she regrets it later; she started this!”
With that, the younger girl turned to the side until she was the one on top of Eri. The yankii kissed the older girl some more, then moved on to her neck. She undid the first couple buttons on Eri’s shirt and kissed her collarbone, which released a moan from Eri’s lips. Reina’s hand continued to travel down until it reached the edge of Eri’s shirt. Her hand slipped under to feel Eri’s soft back. Reina kissed her some more as Eri moaned into her mouth.
“
No,” Reina thought as a sudden realization hit. “
I… I shouldn’t be doing this to her. Why am I doing this? I feel… like I really want it. But I’m not driven by anger anymore; what is this feeling?” The yankii sighed. She backed away from Eri and buttoned her shirt again. The turtle pouted.
“Why?” she whined, still drunk. “I don’t want you to stop…”
“Trust me; you’ll regret it later,” Reina whispered. “
Why do I feel so desperate right now? This girl… who is she to me?”
