Chapter 71 “On the count of three, okay?”
The rest of the girls nodded at the leader’s words. The four friends were on the sandy beach, wrapped up in large towels. They were all in their bikinis already, and were preparing to reveal themselves to each other.
When they arrived in Hawaii, it was a sunny morning. As soon as they dropped off their things at the nearby hotel and ate lunch, the four girls had run down to the beach to enjoy themselves for the rest of the day.
“Ready?” Ai said. “One… two…”
“Wait!” Eri cried out.
“What’s wrong, baby?” Reina questioned.
“Is it one, two, three then take the towel off, or is it one, two, and take it off at three?” the turtle contemplated seriously.
“Does it matter?” Ai said, raising an eyebrow.
“No, Kameha’s got a good point!” Risa shrilled nervously. “Let’s do one, two, three, then take it off, okay?”
“Whatever makes you happy,” Ai said, grinning. “So ready? One… two… three!”
All four girls dropped their towels at the same time. They all first examined the other girls’ attire first, and then turned their eyes towards their respective lovers.
Ai was wearing a red, white, and navy blue stripped bikini; it made her voluminous chest look even bigger. Reina had on a lacy, white and orange bikini with a skirt at the bottom; it complemented her light brown hair nicely. Eri was wearing a light blue bikini with white stars decorated on it; it definitely gave off the bright feeling of the turtle. Risa was wearing a white bikini with colorful tiny patterns; it was something that Eri had picked out for her.
“I think I like what I see,” Reina smirked, extending her arms towards her girlfriend.
“Uh-uh,” Eri said, backing away. “If you want to hug me in this, you’ll have to catch me first!”
With that, the world’s fastest turtle dashed towards the water. The yankii grinned and happily chased after her, leaving her leader behind with the bean. Risa kept her gaze down on the sand; wearing the bikini in front of Ai was making her uncomfortable. In a way, it continuously reminded her of the lingerie in her trunk, and that only made the bean blush even more.
“Risa,” Ai started, worriedly, “are you alright? You look kind of tired…”
“I’m fine,” the younger girl mumbled.
“Are you sure?” The idol lifted her girlfriend’s chin, forcing her to make eye contact with her. “We can go back to the hotel room, if you’d like.”
“I’m fine, really!” Risa yelled, grabbing Ai’s hand and pulling it away from her face. She planned to drop her lover’s hand but the older girl tangled her fingers with hers before she could do so.
“Am I supposed to believe that because I love you?” Ai questioned, leaning in to her girlfriend. “Or am I supposed to doubt that because I love you and I care about you?”
“I’m fine, Ai,” Risa sighed. “I guess… I’m just uneasy.”
“Why are you uneasy?” the leader leaned her head forward.
“Because… I’m scared,” the bean mumbled, unable to concentrate because of Ai’s beauty simply blinding her.
“Why are you scared?” Ai murmured, leaning in even closer.
“Because…” Risa mumbled again. But as Ai’s lips were about to touch her, the younger girl pushed her back and jumped away. “Because Kameha scared the hell out of me with her stories, that’s why!”
Then, Risa made a run for the water, after her friend and the yankii idol. Ai cocked her head to the side, but decided that they would continue this conversation later, and went to join her friends in the water.
Reina splashed the cold water on her girlfriend, causing Eri to scream. The yankii then proceeded to hug the turtle from her back and kissed her neck.
“Was that cold? I’ll warm you up…” Reina purred.
“I’m not sure whether to be thankful to you, or frightened of you,” Eri grumbled.
“I’ll take revenge for you, Eri,” Ai offered. She pulled her partner away from her lover and pushed her towards the deep side of the water. Reina stumbled and fell in, getting drenched from head to toe.
“Ai!” the yankii shouted angrily.
“That’s for being so loud on the plane!” Ai laughed. Risa also started to laugh quietly as Eri giggled behind them. Reina scowled.
“I’m going to get you for that,” the younger idol growled.
She picked herself up and started to furiously splash water towards her leader. Ai screamed and started to splash back with Risa helping. Eri skittered behind Reina and also tried to help. In the end, they all ended up soaking wet from head to toe, and they all laughed it off.
At that moment, from the corner of her eye, Risa spotted a couple guys staring at them from a few feet away, on the sand. The bean leaned into her girlfriend and whispered in her ear.
“Ai, those guys are staring at you,” she said. “Maybe they recognized you.”
The older girl turned around, gazed at where Risa and indicated, turned back, and smirked.
“Oh, they’re not staring at me,” Ai grinned. “They’re staring at you.”
“Me?” Risa said, confused. “Why me?”
“You’re a beautiful girl,” Ai shrugged. “And you look pretty astounding in that bikini, my dear. I’m almost considering taking you back to the hotel so nobody else would be able to see you in that.”
“
Oh, you’ll see me in something that should be much more enticing… hopefully,” Risa thought, looking down.
“Girls! Come out of the water for a while!”
The two couples turned around and spotted one of the photo shoot directing staff. Ai and Reina quickly shuffled out of the water with Risa and Eri right behind them.
“Is something wrong?” Ai questioned.
“We decided to add a couple more shots for the photo book, because one of our venues closed,” the lady said. “We found a different scene to do, but they can only lend us the place tonight.”
“Just get to the point already…” Reina grumbled under her breath. But then, she smiled and masked her irritation. “So, Staff-san, what does this mean?”
“It means we’ll have to start shooting today,” the lady announced. “We can only have the place during late evening, so I’m sorry to say that you girls won’t be getting much sleep tonight.”
“What?” Risa yelled, her eyes widening in shock.
“Risa-chan, calm down!” Eri chided, surprised by her friend’s sudden reaction. “You know, you don’t have to stay up late.”
“That’s right, Risa,” Ai agreed. “You have the spare key to our room, right? Use that and get some rest.”
“But… but…” Risa stuttered.
“I know what you’re thinking,” Eri whispered so that only the two of them could hear. “You still have the night after that, don’t worry.”
The bean finally sighed and stared down at the sand. The staff lady gave Ai and Reina the exact time for the start of the shooting and walked away. The yankii moaned and hugged her girlfriend.
“And I was looking so forward to our first night in Hawaii…” she complained.
“What was there to look forward to in the first place?” Eri said innocently. Reina backed away and glowered at her smiling girlfriend.
“Risa, it’s fine if you stay in your room while I work,” Ai comforted, taking the younger girl’s hands.
“That’s not it,” Risa whined. “I just… It’s just…”
“Are you going to be lonely without me tonight?” Ai teased.
“Yes!” Risa cried out unconsciously. “Wait, I mean, no… I mean—”
“I get it,” Ai laughed, embracing her girlfriend. “I’m sorry I have to leave you. But we’ll still be together tomorrow, right? You’ll watch the photo shoot during the day.”
“Can’t I watch you tonight?”
“Nope. Because I want you to get some rest, and that’s final.”
“… Fine,” Risa muttered. “
I guess I’ll just have to wait one more night… Wait, this is a good thing! It means I have one more night to prepare, right? But… why do I feel let down…?”
