Went to the 3-man with ASE, predia, and YGA last night in Shinjuku. The concert was at the Lumine Yoshimoto theater, which is a relatively small venue (450 seats). It was a nice theater though, located on the 7th floor of a department store called Lumine, and was right outside the Shinjuku train station. Although the concert was at a Yoshimoto theater (which is YGA's agency), I think all the group's performed six songs. YGA just had a long variety segment which lengthened their stage time. The group Space Girls Planet opened (which I only knew of through the random idol thread, I think Shura posted some videos of theirs). They were wearing the dresses where some members wear white (Louise, Aria, etc), red (Meiry, Maho, etc), and blue (Yukafin, Ayami, etc). They performed their upcoming single SURVIVE, Kiyoshi Naru wktk no Hoshi, TriangleWave, La La La Revolution, Kyouiku-teki Yubi, and Watashi Love na Otome. During the MC they mentioned this was their 4th day of performances in a row (I could tell they were a *little* tired, Yukafin kept yawning during the MC). It was cute though. They talked about Tokyo Idol Festival a little and their upcoming single. Most of the fans in attendance had been to TIF the day before so I think everyone was kind of exhausted. My ticket was in the 5th row, so it was great seat, although my favorite member Meiry performed on the other side of the stage for the entire concert. During YGA's variety segment they called Meiry back on stage though because I guess one of the YGA member's is a Meiry fan-girl. After the concert all the groups did separate events. ASE did 2-shots and handshakes, but I didn't have time to stick around for their event or predia's since I had to get back to my hotel and pack, and then head to the airport since my flight back to L.A. was at 1AM.
I was only able to catch ASE one time at TIF, but it was for their Main Stage performance. On Day 2 they were the first performers and were scheduled for 10:30AM (pretty sure they performed first at the main stage at last year's TIF also). I arrived at 8:30AM and got in the queue which was already about a hundred people. Even though it was early in the morning it was already ridiculously hot. There was no shade so I just covered my face with my SUPER GiRLS towel and just endured it. The two hour wait was boring as hell, but it was totally worth it since I was in the 3rd row for their performance. They wore the Kindan Muteki no Darling outfits and performed a similar set that they did for the 3-man, but also sang Learn to Fly which is my favorite song. Really awesome live. They are all great, but I loved watching Meiry, Aria, and Emiu. I actually tried watching them at the Sky Stage (which is the best venue at TIF imo), but I mistimed when I arrived (because the stage is on the roof it takes a while to take the lift up since there is always a line for the elevator). So I arrived just as they were finishing, d'oh.
