Granted that this is just one cartoonist's viewpoint but this cartoon seems arrogant to me? The manager of the Korean team is making more modest statements in public.

well, it's a pretty big win. it just sucks that the americans aren't taking it as seriously as the other nations.

That much is true. Same way that NBA players will never battle for an Olympic gold medal the same way they would kill for an NBA championship ring.

Maybe it's just me but the attitude of that cartoon just rubbed the wrong way. Not that I'm going to riot at the Korean Embassy or anything...

i actually watch almost the whole match between japan and korea. it was good game. i dont watch baseball due to the fact of the pace of the game. but when u have an atmosphere like this game, i am tempted to watch. ichiro was super pissed after they lost.

one thing i dont get is why japan isnt outa the tournment since they also lost to the Americans? even if USA loses to Mexico, they will also advance.

Not sure about that but it does illustrate that anything can happen in a short series.

I'd like to see more of these pitchers from the Korean team endure the grind of a 162-game schedule. I wonder how many elbows and shoulders could handle the strain.

I totally don't get what happened. US had a chance based on Japan scoring low. But US lost to Mexico anyways tonite. DAMN Bud. Those fans in San Diego are gonna enjoy this one.
