So I was depressed all week because of the graduations... I carried around a stuffed orange turtle and wore a panda bracelet for the entire grad. day...
And I've been sick. Apparently, my body has been in a worse condition than I thought. My doctor said I need to see a specialized doctor for my nose/throat and I need therapy/psychiatrist because I have sleeping disorder... oh lovely week
So I'm on three different kind of medications now and I'm holding back on the therapy for a little while; I just need to reduce stress, that's all
I worked on this short chapter to let you guys know I'm still alive

Chapter 24 “No, stop doing that, Gaki-san, I don’t want to…”
“But you promised, Kameha! Stop being a baby and do as I say!”
“Itai! Stop pulling, that hurts!”
“If you just let go and relax, it wouldn’t hurt!”
“I really don’t feel up to it, Risa-chan, please stop…”
“Just get… up… now—GAH!”
A loud thump was heard in the bedroom as the bean fell backwards onto the floor, letting go of her friend’s ankles in the process. Eri took this chance to quickly squirm back up to the head of her bed and buried herself under the blankets again.
The long week of school was finally over and the weekend greeted the two over-worked students. They had promised to go out shopping together on Saturday and invite Reina somewhere along the way to properly introduce her to the bean. But for some reason, the turtle just didn’t want to come out of her shell; she had held on to the head board of the bed until her knuckles turned white while Risa had tried to pull her out by her ankles. When Eri suddenly let go, Risa had been flung out backwards to land on the floor, bottom first. The bean jumped back up to her feet and put her hands on her hips.
“Eri, you’re being a real baby right now!” she growled. “You should keep the promises that you make!”
“I know that, and I’m sorry,” the turtle mumbled. “But you don’t understand; I’m just really exhausted, I need a day to myself.”
“Didn’t you tell Reina to come out today too?” Risa questioned.
“Yeah, but I’m going to cancel,” Eri said, her voice muffled under the blankets. “I just can’t see her today.”
“Oh, come on,” the bean moaned, rolling her eyes. “You’re not really sick, are you?”
“You don’t understand, Risa-chan,” Eri said, poking her head out of the blankets. “I tried to tell her that I’m a girl every single day this week. But every single time I try, she somehow manages to get me off-topic and we go on to about how nicely everything worked out for us. I can’t break her happiness by telling her the truth after that… I just need a day to clear my mind and think things through.”
“If you want my opinion, I think it’s just easier to tell her as soon as you can,” Risa sighed. “You can’t hold out forever.”
“It’s not as easy as you think,” Eri groaned. “Look, I’m just going to stay home today and think of a different way to tell her. Okay?”
“…Okay, it’s your choice,” Risa said finally. “But whether you’re going out or not, I’m still going to go shopping; I actually have a couple things I need to buy.”
“Do what you want,” Eri mumbled, pulling the covers over herself again.
The bean turned to leave the room but stopped, feeling that she had been a little too harsh on her friend lately. She knew how mom-ish she should be and, as a result, a pain in the ass. So she turned around and sighed.
“Look, Kameha, I’m sorry for being rough on you,” Risa said quietly. “I guess I’m just being paranoid about things that aren’t even my business.”
“It’s okay, you just want what’s best for me,” Eri squeaked. She then stuck her head out again and smiled. “You always want what’s best for me.”
“Right,” Risa laughed, broken down by her friend’s cutesy act. “How about I bring you dinner tonight? I think my mom is making Korean food.”
“With kimchi?” the turtle gasped, her eyes sparkling.
“Yup,” Risa grinned. “I’ll bring it up as soon as I get it.”
“Gaki-san, daisuki!” Eri sighed contently.
“Watashi mo Eri ga suki,” Risa laughed softly. She turned around and walked out of the room. Eri could hear her friend moving across the living room and out the front door. There was the click of the keys and then silence. That was the positive side of the bean having her spare key; she didn’t need to get out of bed to lock the door. But of course, the negative side was Risa getting into her house in the first place when she wanted some alone-time.
Eri quickly reached across to her bedside table and grabbed her cell phone. She wanted to make the call before she could forget. She swiftly dialed the number she knew well and held the phone to her ears while lying down on her side. The person on the other line picked up after a couple seconds.
“Moshi-moshi?”
“Reina?”
“Ah, Eri!” the familiar voice said happily. “Ohayou!”
“Ohayou,” Eri answered, smiling. “Listen, you know how I asked you to meet me outside today?”
“Yeah, Café Buono at 10 o’clock, right?”
“Actually, about that, I’m a little sick today so I don’t think I can show up,” the turtle said, trying to make her voice sound hoarse. “I’m sorry, Reina.”
“That’s perfectly fine, I don’t want you overexert yourself,” the kitten said. “Are you feeling okay? Is it serious?”
“I’m okay, I just need to rest in bed a little,” Eri said.
“Are you sure you’ll be okay?” Reina said worriedly. “Maybe I can come over—”
“No, don’t come!” the turtle interrupted. The last thing she wanted was for her girlfriend to come and discover that she wasn’t really sick. “I don’t want you to catch anything from me. I’ll probably feel better tomorrow; we can meet then.”
“Um… okay,” the kitten said reluctantly. “I guess I’ll see you.”
“Yeah. See you.”
Eri hung up her cell phone and placed it back on the table. Then, she sprawled across her bed and stretched every muscle in her body while looking forward to a full day of rest and disturbance-free.

“Was that your boyfriend?” Junjun asked, shoving a toast in her mouth.
“Yeah, it was…” Reina mumbled. “Wait a minute, why are you all eating breakfast at my house again?!”
The kitten glared at the three yankiis in her kitchen, helping themselves to a meal. Junjun was sitting by the table, eating eggs and toast. Linlin was making more eggs and bacon while Aika was by the counter, watching the toaster timer click by.
“Because we were sick of getting breakfast at McDonalds,” Junjun answered with her mouth full. She shook her head dreadfully. “It’s so unhealthy.”
“I think we tried everything on the breakfast menu already,” Aika chimed in.
“Never eat McDonalds for two weeks straight,” Linlin groaned. “You can literally feel yourself getting heavier.”
“Well then, don’t eat at McDonalds!” Reina yelled, rolling her eyes. “I can’t believe you guys are already at my house and I’m not even dressed yet…”
It was true; while the three delinquent girls were fully dressed for the day, Reina was still clad in sweats and a sweater over a tank-top. Her hair also hung straight and un-brushed, unlike Junjun’s well combed hair with cornroses on the side.
“You’re in your PJs,” the taller panda shrugged. “It’s nothing we haven’t seen.”
“That’s not the point,” Reina sighed. “The point is—”
“What was the phone call about, Tanaka-senpai?” Aika interrupted as the bread popped out of the toaster.
“Eri said he can’t meet up today, he’s sick,” Reina replied unconsciously. “Hey, wait a minute, why do I need to answer—”
“Is it serious?” Linlin cut in, scooping up the finished eggs and bacon onto a plate. “Maybe you should go visit, senpai.”
“Yeah, he told me not to come but— hey, I don’t need to tell you guys any of this!” Reina yelled, getting more and more frustrated.
“Just tell us what happened,” Junjun grinned.
The ex-yankii looked around at the girls who were once her followers. Reina already knew that these girls possessed the skills to keep her on the topic they wanted; they were smart enough for that. So the kitten just sighed and gave up.
“Eri told me not to come over because he said he didn’t want me to get sick either,” Reina said. “But I’m worried, so I think I should go visit him anyway. Maybe around dinner time.”
“That’s a good idea,” Junjun nodded. “Take some food with you; he’ll be happy about that.”
“Yeah, I think I will,” Reina answered, smiling a little. It seemed as though she really couldn’t go a day without seeing her boyfriend’s face. Maybe she was even addicted. Either way, she didn’t care. If she
was addicted, this was the good kind of drug. She was sure of it.
