@Haruka: oddly enough, the turtle seems to be better at handling others' problems than her own.

@sapphire: lol because I like visual stuff, so pictures/videos are always god

Yeah, I know what you mean. I wanna try writing other genres too!

Okay, just a REALLY short chapter before bed. It's more like a filler chapter. You know, build the suspense

Chapter 31 The boy smiled as he continued to move his fingers rapidly over the keyboard. The click-clacking of the cell phone wasn’t too loud, so he wasn’t worried about being caught texting, even if it was Takahashi-sensei.
Yeah, she’s totally hot, the boy thought as he texted his friend in another classroom.
I don’t really care about history and all but I could seriously listen to this shit all day if I can stare at her bod—
Suddenly, something small whizzed by the boy’s head, grazing his cheek in the process. The student looked up with a shocked expression, dropping his cell phone to the floor. Everybody in the classroom was staring at him with surprised faces as well. The history teacher at the front of the room was dusting her hands off.
“Please refrain from texting during my class, Kukai-kun,” Takahashi-sensei said, smiling brightly.
“S-s-sumimasen…” the boy stuttered, still not over the initial shock of having something thrown at his face.
“Thank you,” the teacher said. “Now please do me a favor and pick up that chalk behind you? It’s a shame that it broke; it was my last piece.”
“H-hai!”
The student immediately stumbled out of his chair, tripping on air in the process, and grabbed the broken piece of chalk that was behind him. He was sitting all the way in the back and the teacher had thrown this at him from meters away. That was scary. What if it had actually hit him instead of just grazing his face?
“By the way, I wasn’t really going to hit you with the chalk,” Ai said, smiling. “I just wanted to get your attention a little.”
The boy laughed nervously, slightly frightened by how his teacher had just read his mind, or his face. This teacher was gorgeous, but kind of creepy at times. Just like how she seemed to know everything going on in the classroom and the way she failed half the class for the first term.
The male student quickly walked over to the front of the classroom and presented the pieces of chalk to his teacher. Ai took it and smiled.
“Arigatou, Kukai-kun,” she said happily.
“Uh.. no problem, Sensei…” the boy said slowly, his cheeks blushing.
As the boy went back to take his seat, the rest of the students turned back to the board, sitting up straight just so they wouldn’t get in any unnecessary trouble. Risa just shook her head while grinning. Her peers were finally learning how scary Takahashi-sensei could really be, not to mention strict and merciless. She turned to look at Eri, who had a very confused expression on. Obviously, the turtle was still a little slow at understanding Ai’s character.
After a couple more minutes of lecture, the bell finally rang to indicate the end of the period.
“Make sure to read tonight’s chapters,” Ai yelled as she gathered her things. “Good work today, everyone.”
“Kiritsu!” Risa called, as the entire class stood up. “Rei! Otsukaresama deshita!”**
“Minna-san, otsukaresama!” Ai returned the thanks, before she walked out of the classroom.
While the other students all sat back down, Risa started to run out of the room after her teacher. Eri whispered some sort of chant to cheer her friend on as the bean turned around and gave a wink.
Risa quickly walked down the hallway and caught up to her teacher. Ai turned around at the sound of someone approaching and smiled.
“Ah, Gaki-san!” the teacher said happily. “Good work today. I really liked the way you presented your answer today, very well done.”
“Arigatou gozaimasu,” the bean said breathily. “Sensei, I… uh… I have request.”
“Yes?”
“I’m sorry to ask you this at the last minute,” the student started, “but will you be able to meet me after school today by the courtyard tree where we always eat? I have… uh… something to tell you.”
“… Actually, I have a prior engagement,” Ai said quietly. “I’m not sure if I can…”
“You have to come!” Risa yelled with a sudden burst of energy. “It’s very important, you have to listen!”
The bean had no idea where she was getting this spontaneous courage from. Normally, she would just said she understood and ask for another date, but she couldn’t help it. Something told her today was the day to confess and she had to follow her gut feeling. If she didn’t confess her feelings today, she knew she wouldn’t be able to do it in the future. And then, she would regret never coming clean.
“… I understand,” Ai finally said, smiling a little. “I’ll stop by to meet you by the tree, right after school. Will that be okay?”
“That would be perfect,” Risa sighed. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” Ai chuckled. “Now you better return to class, the starting bell is going to ring soon.”
“Okay!” Risa grinned, her happiness dying her cheeks soft pink. She turned and quickly skittered back to the class room. Ai watched her disappear through the door as her expression took a gradual change, from a smile to something else. Was it anger? Misery? Worry?
So there’s no way to avoid this, she thought, sighing.
Well, one heart is about to be broken… or two.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
**NOTE: Risa says, "Stand up, bow, good work today". The class representative does this after every class and does a greeting in the beginning too. It's called ojigi

excited? me too!

i hope i'm getting some of you worked up, i'm gonna start writing the next part tomorrow

But don't worry, I haven't forgotten about TanaKame. In the end, i'm expanding more on them than the other couples. they ARE main, after all

Also, for the poll, it seems like School-life is winning, which kinda surprised me since Chigatte mo Iin da yo is school-life and I did a better job in Kokoro no Uta. But I guess everybody has differing opinions, nee~?
If School-life does end up winning, i'll have to think of some special plot so it doesn't get too similar to Chigatte mo
