Six new Game of Thrones RPG screenshots have appeared on the horizon to herald the arrival of Cyanide Studio's forthcoming A Song of Ice and Fire video game adaptation for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

The shots depict the game's two main leads—Night Watch devotee Mors and the red priest Alester—in various states of combat; as well as a few familiar faces and environments plucked from George R.R. Martin's fantasy novels. As detailed in the announcement from UK publisher Focus Home Interactive, both Mors and Alester will venture forth in their own separate “chapters”, with Mors' journey taking him from his post at the Wall to King's Landing by way of the unfriendly territory known at the Gift, and Alester's travels taking him from Riverspring to the Red Keep. Much like the books upon which their adventures are based, both paths will eventually cross in a flurry of sword-play, stabbing, and possibly one or two beheadings.

Game of Thrones RPG is being developed for a spring 2012 release, with publishing duties falling to Focus Home Interactive for European fans, and Atlus North America for Western Westeros enthusiasts. Check out the game's progress on the recently launched website, or in the newest batch of images below:

The one thing giving me hope for that RPG at the moment is that the story is written by GRRM himself. At the same time, it doesn't necessarily guarantee it will be a great game script. But one to watch out for definately.

Stayed up to watch the Golden Globes, didn't expect him to win (idk he already got an Emmy before), but HOW AWESOME!!! His speech was perfection as well. Such a classy dude.

I realized nothing could be as awesome after his win, so I just went to bed.

So, picked up book one at the weekend finally and I'm around p.100 (first episode)
It's really amazing how close the series stays to the book (at least to this point where I am right now), it's almost boring to read, since I already know, whats going to happen next and even the dialogue is 1:1 copy from the book XD
I hope I can finish book two before season 2 starts, to experience the whole thing the other way round.
Also love the structure of the books, with each chapter being from one persons perspective, so you're always on edge wanting to know, what will happen next when it's that characters turn again.

Reading ACOK now, already a quarter way through after a day :cokecat:

So how about that viewing party? Should we wait until season 2 is closer? I might re-watch soon anyway

I'm down with whenever provided the time suits everyone. How are we watching it though? An episode a day or we going through a marathon back to back viewing? I'm sure whatever the case, then planning it over a weekend would better suit everyone. Would also need to find a site we can all watch it from together too.

I don't mind re-watching season 1 during a weekend. We could probably watch an episode per week until season 2 starts, but we would have to start immediately.

Damn, I'm far behind in ACOK. All because I don't want to read Catelyn's chapters. Guess I need to bring out some booze if I want to continue. Need to buy more rum.

Here's a bunch of photos of the characters to appear in S2. I was going to share the Facebook link instead but as it turns out, GoT book fans have to be the biggest trolls on the planet, spoiling it for everyone. In fact, I myself found out something that happens in A Dance With Dragons that I haven't read yet, something major that will no doubt ruin the impact it's meant to carry when it happens. And it was the very first comment so I couldn't avoid it. So pissed off right now. Said it before and I'll say it again people, don't read any kind of fan discussion on the show or you'll get spoiled. No FB posts, no tweets, no Youtube comments. Nothing

I just finished ACOK today, and picked up A Storm of Swords.. they get fatter :cathappy:

That ending though, man.. Was really pleased with how Daenerys chapters started to go, and Bran's as well. The entire thing was better than GoT all around, hope SoS keeps it up.
