Interesting, never heard of that theory til now. I was gonna say 'But he doesn't have silver hair!' or 'But he gets hurt by fire!' but I guess you can argue that the Stark side of his blood makes that so. Besides, Viserys was a pure Targareyn and he got killed big time with fire

I was pretty sure it was stated relatively specifically who Jon's mother was in A Dance with Dragons.. Shall have to re-read to make sure :\

Yup there definitely was something. But the question is, whose information do we trust? Is GRRM just trying to throw us off, since a lot of people have picked up on the theory? We'll only find out for sure once there is something absolutely certain in the books about it - or if nothing special ever happens concerning Jon's parentage LOL.

I don't see it. Sounds to me like someone else saw a resemblance, kicked off about it, got some other people convinced and now it's presented as fact. Until someone involved in production comes out and confirms it, I don't think it is true. Also why is this outrage only coming out now, a year after S1?

I finally caught up with the TV series in the books! Honestly, I started A Storm of Swords 3 nights ago and am almost halfway through already (and I didn't even read any yesterday). I always looks forward to the Jaime chapters and Jon's are just so exciting. T==I love the onion knight too, but seriously, Davos

About the R + L = J theory...

It seems possible. Ned does say the name of his former lover to Robert in both the first book and S1. But it'd make sense if he was lying. Let's face it, he's Eddard Stark and he'd protect his nephew (from Robert) over his honour.

I'll be a bit pissed if Jon Snow and Dany end up together, representing the song of ice and fire, mostly because it's pretty cheesy. I imagine it like, "Get it? Because Ice -> Snow."

I'll finally be able to start watching S2 after my exams are over. Finally.

Seems like the producers are in a spot of bother as the S1 finale featuring that brief cameo from President Bush has been pulled. Won't find it on iTunes, HBO Go and S1 DVD boxsets have even been recalled.

They're filming for S3 come the beginning of July. N.Ireland is once again the place to be as is Iceland and Croatia. But apparently Morocco is another destination they'll film in. Perhaps....Dorne?

In shocking news, they've announced that they now won't be making Season 3.
