Just watched it on iPlayer because my recording packed up. OMG. That was the best Doctor Who I have seen in years. It had Asians as good characters, it had bike riding like Jon Pertwee, the riding up the building scene made me think 'Yep, that's a tokusatsu', it was just amazing. Next week looks good. Finally it's getting interesting again. I knew this fresh start would do it good.

Imagine if there was an evil Wi-Fi thing! I'd just think 'Oh cool, a foreign language!'

Series 7 part 1 DONE!!  :D

'The Angels Take Manhattan' ep was a real good ep... and a very sad one at the end, as well.

Gets me all caught up now, so I'll prolly have to wait for the 2nd part to come out on dvd to see 'em, unless the eps show up on youtube.  ;)

Maybe I'll make one of those while watching the episode tonight.

I absolutely LOVED The Bells of Saint John. As expected, I just love Clara more than ever (she's just so cute I just can't) It reminded me of when Tennant was the Doctor, which was a bit refreshing. Dramatic, but with a lot of humor and fun! I also really liked the concept of evil wifi, hehe.

Looking forward to tonight's episode!

I loved the last episode, there might not have been a TON of action but the atmosphere was great.

The Doctor's long speech about his memories was great, really got a sense of how long he's been around :P.

I also enjoyed the latest episode quite a bit! I thought it was the perfect amount of fun and drama combined. A little cheesy, but hey, I like that in my shows. :nervous

I'm especially looking forward to the next episode! I love submarines and stuff like that, so it's bound to be fun!

This could be the height of nerd-cool. At the very least, it could be a low-cost way of jazzing up a kitchen and/or being able to keep an older fridge that still functions well but that might look a little beat-up.  :thumbup

Quote
Customized refrigerator kit to turn your fridge into a very special Police Box. The skin is easy to apply to the doors, with a little care taken to cut out around the handles. The top section is a separate structure that includes the sign, the peak roof and a working beacon.

The skin integrates best with a French Door refrigerator, because of the way the fridge doors better match the Police Box. A single door, with or without a separate freezer, also looks cool; it just doesn't open in the manner of a Police Box.

There is the option of including a stiffened "little phone door" that can be adjusted to make it fit over the top of your ice maker, so the little door swings open to access the ice maker, but then closes the rest of the time.

There is also an audio module available that fits inside the fridge that can be programmed to play your favorite Police Box sounds whenever the doors open. I have mine set to play several sounds from one of my favorite TV shows, Doctor Who.
Order it here - http://glasssculpture.org/artglass/holiday/police-box.html

Karen Gillian was on The Late Late Show a few nights ago.
Love that ginger. :inlove:

Also, Freema Agyeman has showed up in 'The Carrie Diaries' show, and John Barrowman has appeared in 'Arrow'.
And, I also saw Catherine Tate in the recent ep of 'The Office'.

One last thing, has anyone seen the remake of the movie 'Fright Night'?
I only mention it because David Tennant is innit.

Breaking news: Matt Smith Leaving Doctor Who Next Year

Quote
Matt Smith says: "Doctor Who has been the most brilliant experience for me as an actor and a bloke, and that largely is down to the cast, crew and fans of the show. I'm incredibly grateful to all the cast and crew who work tirelessly every day, to realise all the elements of the show and deliver Doctor Who to the audience. Many of them have become good friends and I'm incredibly proud of what we have achieved over the last four years.

Having Steven Moffat as show runner write such varied, funny, mind bending and brilliant scripts has been one of the greatest and most rewarding challenges of my career. It's been a privilege and a treat to work with Steven, he's a good friend and will continue to shape a brilliant world for the Doctor.

The fans of Doctor Who around the world are unlike any other; they dress up, shout louder, know more about the history of the show (and speculate more about the future of the show) in a way that I've never seen before, your dedication is truly remarkable. Thank you so very much for supporting my incarnation of the Time Lord, number Eleven, who I might add is not done yet, I'm back for the 50th anniversary and the Christmas special!

It's been an honour to play this part, to follow the legacy of brilliant actors, and helm the TARDIS for a spell with 'the ginger, the nose and the impossible one'. But when ya gotta go, ya gotta go and Trenzalore calls. Thank you guys. Matt."

Steven Moffat, lead writer and executive producer, says : "Every day, on every episode, in every set of rushes, Matt Smith surprised me: the way he'd turn a line, or spin on his heels, or make something funny, or out of nowhere make me cry, I just never knew what was coming next. The Doctor can be clown and hero, often at the same time, and Matt rose to both challenges magnificently. And even better than that, given the pressures of this extraordinary show, he is one of the nicest and hardest-working people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Whatever we threw at him - sometimes literally - his behaviour was always worthy of the Doctor.

But great actors always know when it's time for the curtain call, so this Christmas prepare for your hearts to break, as we say goodbye to number Eleven. Thank you Matt - bow ties were never cooler.

Of course, this isn't the end of the story, because now the search begins. Somewhere out there right now - all unknowing, just going about their business - is someone who's about to become the Doctor. A life is going to change, and Doctor Who will be born all over again! After 50 years, that's still so exciting!"

 :(

I think I'll stop getting Doctor Who Magazine. You have these episodes that I like, and then in the letters page you have people saying why they didn't like it, and then the review one or two issues later says the exact same thing! What's the bloody point then?!  :banghead:  It's bad enough reading things on the internet I don't agree with without actually spending good money to read them! Most magazines will try and say that the views of the people don't match the views of the magazine, but they don't even bother with that now. I think magazines in general don't hold the excitement that they used to for me.
