Berryz Koubou - 2009.06.21 - Mini Concert Live in Korea 2/3The camera work is

, sorry.
Risako's voice FTW.

Miyabi's, on the other hand...Although, it seems like Risako's was the only voice not to suffer too much from the LQ audio. I guess deeper voices don't get pitch-warped as easily.
Oh boo, they cut the Munasawagi interlude.
As much as I was happy that they did their serious songs, this concert made me feel uneasy. If they want to make an impact on the Korean scene they need to either beat the competition at what they do, or offer a different alternative. Getting railroaded into a "happy and silly fun" niche group might seem bad, but this was the other side, and there is no way they'll be able to upstage the likes of the Wonder Girls or SNSD like this.
Obviously there's the vocals issue, but more important is the dancing. They need to be scary in sync, make the poses clear and the transitions crisp, especially with the lock-based arm movements, and be able to WORK the curvy moves(think Tell Me). The mini-concert looked like a mess at first, with good choreography nixed for fist pumps (

Scarlet interlude...), and formations reduced to "one line across the stage", which looks plain amateurish without perfect sync, and even the second half would be under-par for other Korean girl groups. The moves are there only after a second CLOSE look, which a non-fan will not give them.
And even their happy songs need GREAT dancing to back them up, as Gee showed that even bubblegum isn't exempt from needing good choreography.
