This is really stupid, but I've been pasting some writings in the babelfish translator, and then I've switched from language to language just to see what happens.

This is the first result:

in of place a point, it names of of whose does not stop to decide wishes me to me, none hidalgo of of lived in which of the time of it is much

That's only switching from spanish to english several times. Now, on to another:

the traveller is not a way, becomes the way when the course

For this one I switched from spanish to english, then dutch, french, greek and english again. Although the translation from french to greek and then to english was pretty accurate and didn't change the result a lot.

From the glance, world; Through the smile, sky: Through the kiss, I have not known that there is some has given them through the kiss!

From english to traditional chinese; then to english, then to italian and then to english again... and I still don't know how the hell it changed the first preposition (from), which was supposed to be the same as the other two (through)  :?

Now, I don't think anyone outside from spain will be able to recognize the quotes, but the first one is pretty easy.. Make your bets :P and do your own experiments too! Lots of fun guaranteed! XD

My favorite example of computer translation came from a Readers' Digest issue a long time ago.  The story said that someone took the English phrase "out of sight, out of mind" and translated it by computer into Russian or something, then back into English.  The result was "invisible insanity".  :)

I did that sort of thing a few years ago with song lyrics.  It's fun to see how after a few translations it's almost unrecognisable.
Sig gone. Tinypic is no more.

Babel is wack! Here's a Chinese comment:

没有啊,没见过这个。
我现在很少下东西了,大的基本上是不下的,小的可以考虑一下

to english:
□has, □□□□□. I □in very few under □west, big basically is not under, is small may test □

to english and chinese back a few times??
? Has? ? ? ? ? . I? In extremely minority? In the west under, gets down, slightly perhaps tests the basically not very earth right?

actually makes more sense but it was a comment about a gravure idol video.

Reminds of this.

Dude... if you put the words "I want to have sex with you until the sun goes down." into a translator, and translate it into Dutch, then back to english
it comes out
I want slaughtered with you have to the sun decrease.
