^ how did you get that? buy some good weapons, buy a house, etc.

just finally put it down for the night. so much stuff I did, mainly subquests for the day. sucks that I'm only at level 10.

finally got myself initated into the Companions just now. probably will finish the rest of the missions tomorrow and then who knows? wonder if that college will help you learn more magic?

btw, anybody got that mammoth tusk in one of the sidequests? I just can't seem to get one at all.

^^Find some trainer NPCs to buy points on secondary skills? :D
On the higher levels they take nearly 2000septims each point. :nervous
I did that for one-handed and conjuration pretty early on (since you can only buy 5 points each level), so I was pretty poor up till now. XD

Invest in a house definately. Also take a look at the shops and buy some armour or weapons you think could help you out.

I found one out in the world around a hunters camp. I think they sell them too. I got mine from Whiterun somewhere.

finally put the game down for tonight..so much I've done for that day!! :)

first, did all the Companion conquests up to the point where I had to kill a witch, but got killed quickly because of her fire skills.

- got that house in Whiterun and decorated it some
- trying to find Red Eagle's sword
- killed THREE dragons! :) (highlight of my day)

good thing it's raining tomorrow so I can level up some more and maybe get back onto the main storyline XD

Definitely buy the house in Whiterun, if you haven't already. It's small but the most convenient. Solitude is the fanciest but costs 30,000+ to buy with the upgrades and doesn't even have much space for displaying stuff and storage. Windhelm is the best for mannequins and display cases. Markarth is my personal favorite looking with the Dwarven style. Havent bought the Riften house myself yet so can't say if it's any good. There really isn't much to do with money tbh. I'm around 180,000 gold and I don't think there is really anything to spend that kind of money on. Once you get the fences with 4000 gold after fully restoring the thieves guild it's easy to just collect all the expensive armor, weapons, gems and sell them for a lot of cash.

btw, anybody got that mammoth tusk in one of the sidequests? I just can't seem to get one at all.

There are some you can steal in whiterun. The Battle-Born House has one. Khajiht traders buy and sell them. OR just kill a mammoth. :P

been playing a lot of the game for the past couple of days. man, this game is so good! I've been mainly doing the main quest now.

just finished a side quest where I joined with a girl to get a scroll. took me 20 or so tries to finally beat the boss(sadly, at level 15). got a new word and a conjure spell for it's trouble.

I do need some help though. I need to know where the best place to get experience and the best weapons. Plus, how do I get the frost spell(unless I have to go to the magic college to get it)

Just go exploring in caves/dungeons for some decent weapons and armour. It's all I've been doing and I've got a decent setup right now. Besides, the very best weapons are usually ones you enchant yoursef if you level that skill up enough.

For frost spells, and any spells in particular, I go to the mage in Whiterun and buy them off him.

that's the thing, i got some weapons already enchanted and i need some good one-handed weapons as well.

I haven't figured out the enchanting on there sadly, or either the sneaking. two things i don't have :(

Most of the time I just picked up better swords from each dungeon romp. :)

You could try the Red Eagle quest got from reading the book. The Red Eagle sword is nice. I didn't use it much though.

The Blades sword I got from an early main story quest was the one that I used for a long time. Only switched after I started making Deadric equipment (the strongest non-unique stuff in the game). Search online for the basic steps on making them if you want.

^ I did the Red Eagle quest last night and a few other side quests as well.

I'm using a glass axe right now, pretty good damage for it. just wish i could make more stuff, but it sucks that i got material, but can't make crap out of it.

finally got that mammoth tusk last night after doing a side quests for a captain in Dawnstar for so non-void salts. it's laying next to a dead hunter next to the salts :P

Glass weapons are already pretty high for non-unique weapons. You'll need to level smithing to get to dragon/daedric.
And it'll be grinding anyways. should be more fun doing quests/exploring with what you've got now. :)

^ Ah the rare yet powerful dance shout. You have to find and unlock the words of power, everyday, we and shufflin'

I remember ratchet and clank had a power that made enemies dance, was awesome.

I should try some alchemy. I've just been collecting ingredients in my little pouch thingy in whiterun house but haven't done anything with em.

I bet this has happened to other players.

I remember first getting the Whiterun house and putting all my ingredients in the chest found in my tiny alchemy room.
But instead of pressing "R" on the keyboard to store, I kept pressing "E" and ate all the 100+ ingredients. :nervous  Miracle my character didn't die/turn into a Draugr on the spot.

I did a little alchemy and smithing last night, wish there was someone who I can train for smithing since I knew the lady from Dawnstar.

Finally did all of the Companion missions last night. Also got me a Glass Bow to go alone with it in one of the missions. Made it to level 20.

^ See there's an example of how different each of us approach the game cause I'm maybe Lvl 22 and have maybe done 2 Companion missions and no Glass Bow to speak of. Although I do like my bow that has Soul Trap enchanted on it.

This 'Arrow to the Knee' meme has taken off big time. It's the new 'Cake Is A Lie' and just like that, it's become just as tired and I wish it would stop.

Playing again after a few days busy from work. :)
My character is level 37 and I don't think I've done any of the Companion missions! :D Think I was too obsessed with learning Conjuration magic at the College of Winterhold.
I've only been using normal bows, till my last playthrough when I found a fire-enchanted one. It's fun to shoot arrows at bandits and see them run around in flames.
Finished off the Mehrunes Razor quest. Suddenly have enough Daedra hearts to make armor for my follower too!
