CHAPTER 16:
A WEEK LATER ,AT THE KASAI MANSION
“Hey Tomo~mi, are you done yet! “ Tomo called, as he sat on Tomo~mi’s couch reading some fashion magazine as he wait for his girlfriend to finish
changing. He’s wearing a baby pink long sleeve with a white necktie and white coat, as today is his birthday
“I’m almost done; just give me a few more minutes!”Tomo~mi shouted back, as she’s on her room fixing her hair.
Tomo put down the magazine and just sigh as he looked at the time on his watch. And after what seems like forever, which is only a few minutes, Tomo~mi appeared, she wearing a baby pink cocktail strapless dress with a pearl beaded to look like a ribbon above her chest, a key necklace dangling on her neck slowly descending the stairs just like what she said.
“Finally!!! Come on we’re late! Mariko-sama and the others are already there, waiting for us.” Tomo quickly took Tomo~mi’s hand and pulled her out of the house.
AT THE MAEDA HALL
Mariko-sama wearing a black frilled cocktail dress, matching elegant necklace and bracelet and purse escorted by Kuu who’s wearing white long sleeve shirt with a black skinny necktie and a gray flat cap; Rena wearing purple cocktail dress with Jun wearing a black long sleeve shirt and a purple matching necktie; and lastly Yuki wearing a navy blue strapless cocktail dress with an embroidered flower shape like on waist line and black with blue purse and her partner Sae wearing a silk long sleeve white shirt and a black suspender and a big black squared frame eyeglass with stylish fedora navy blue checkered black hat, are all sitting on a table a little bit on the front near the stage, waiting for the birthday boy and his girlfriend to arrive.
“Hey, Yuko I thought you wouldn’t come” Rena said as Yuko who’s wearing a red cocktail dress with embroidered pearl bead on the cleavage hem and a white and red purse came in with Riku who’s wearing a white long sleeve shirt with a brown cardigan and also like with Sae wearing a big black square frame eyeglasses
“Well, Riku said I need a break and it’s only for tonight, and tomorrow, I’ll be back to practicing again.”Yuko said.
“So where’s TomoTomo couple? Why isn’t the birthday boy here yet” Riku asked as he notice the TomoTomo aren’t around.
“He went to pick up Tomo~mi an hour ago…..”Jun taking a sip on his juice
“Hey what about Kai and Acchan, where are they?”Yuko asked
“Riku, you didn’t tell her?” Mariko-sama asked then all eyes turn to Riku’s
“Tell me what?! Did something happen?” Yuko curios to know
“Sigh* Well she’s busy with training and everything, so I didn’t bother telling her about it.”Riku said
“Rikunyan, tell me what happened! “Yuko demanded Riku
“Well, Kai confronted his father a couple of day ago…”Sae starts explaining
“Ohhh, I see, but still Kai’s acting like a kid, what about Acchan, she could still came even without Kai.”Yuko said
“Yah, but Acchan doesn’t really like this kind of parties, and for some reason my mom’s totally against it, if Kai’s not with her.”Yukirin said
“Well, that makes sense, but still…….”Yuko a bit disappointed that Kai and Acchan couldn’t make it
“Ohh hey they’re finally here….finally we can eat” Kuu getting bored and hungry
“Ohh boy, Kuu, you and you’re bottomless stomach” Mariko-sama just rolled her eyes.
The TomoTomo finally arrived at the venue. As soon as they arrive, people surround them, to greet and to congratulate Tomohiko on his 20th birthday, and the number of people greeting and congratulating Tomohiko wasn’t really decreasing at all. He and Tomo~mi hardly moved at all.
“Hey, I’ll go to Mariko-sama and the other, cuz the number isn’t really decreasing at all. Chiyuu~”Tomo~mi whispered to Tomo
“Ok, I’ll see you in minute.”Tomo said then Tomo~mi slowly made her way out of the crowd and went to the table were there friends are waiting.
“Phew! I feel tired already….Chiyuu.”Tomo~mi quite exhausted
“Well, that isn’t really surprising, seeing you guy are being crowded by lots of people. “ Yuko said.
“Yah…so did we miss anything while we weren’t here. Chiyuu “Tomo~mi taking a sip from her champagne that she took from one of the waiters going around.
“Nothing really, much we were just talking about Acchan and Kai. That’s all.” Sae said
“Ohh, so in end, they didn’t come huh…..Chiyuu.”Tomo~mi disappointed
“Yah, I know, really what’s wrong with Kai! “Yuko agreed, then suddenly some called
“Mariko-sama, there you are, I’ve been looking for you!” A designer suddenly called Mariko-sama
All eyes turn to the designers as he come and was about to dragged Mariko-sama away with him.
“Onee-chan! When did you get back! You didn’t even tell me! “Tomo~mi gives her sister a crashing hug
“Chiyuu, I’m sorry, Dad suddenly called me over without explaining why. Itano-ojisama asked me to do a fashion show for Tomohiko’s birthday party.
I’m sorry, everything happens so fast.” Tomo~mi’s sister explain.
“Well, since that was the case, how about we all participate on the fashion show” Mariko-sama suggested
“Yah, I’m in, what do you say Yukirin?”Sae getting excited
“Well, if Sae’s in then I’m in too!” Jun said too
“I said Yukirin, not Jun.” Sae teasing
“I don’t know, I’ve never done this before? I’ll just watch you guys do it.”Yukirin unsure
“What are you talking about Yukirin, walking down the stage is just easy! We are doing this for fun. Don’t be such a kill joy!” Tomo~mi encourage Yukirin
“Yah! We are going to rock this boring party! “Yuko smiled mischievously
“Fine, I’ll do it.”Yukirin sigh in defeat.
“Well, that’s settled, let get this party started!” Mariko-sama getting excited
Tomohiko eyed his friends as they start walking to the backstage, even though he’s still being hovered over by crowds of people.
‘Where are those people going?’ he thought
“Excuse me gentlemen, can I borrow my son for a moment?” Tomohiko’s father sudden interrupt them
“Of course, Mr. Itano.” The gentlemen said.
Tomohiko and his father excused themselves from the crowd of people and starts walking to the leaders of Big 7 families table. Tomohiko greeted them, and then they chatted for a while
“So, Kai, didn’t come huh?” Kai’s father, Kaidou said
“Yes, Uncle Kaidou, I think he’s still bitter towards you.”Tomo simply said
“Hahaha, what did you do this time Kaidou!” A man who’s looks so much like Kuu asked
“Mind your own business, Kukai.” Kaidou glared at Kuu’s father
“Calm down, gentlemen, don’t make a fuss now.” A man who could be Riku’s twin calmly said
“You’re way TOO calm, Ridou.” A man that looks like a total gigolo, which he is actually, said to Riku’s father
“Ok, enough with that, you guys are acting like kids.” A man who’s a little younger than the rest said.
“Are you boys done with your silly squabbles?” A very scary old man said
Suddenly everyone become quiet.
“Alright, come on Tomo, let’s start this party.” Tomohiko’s father stood up Tomohiko stood up too and then excuse themselves and went up to the
stage.
“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming tonight, to celebrate this wonder night together with me and my son Tomohiko as he’ s
finally an adult………….”Tomohiko’s father start his speech
“And now, please enjoy the show.” Both of them went down the stage. Tomohiko went to the empty table were his friends used to sit
Then the fashion show started, the girls are screaming and cheering loudly to our cool-looking and handsome Big 7 young masters. The guy audiences are whistling and cheering also to our sexy and beautiful looking girls. But the Big 7 boys give death glares to the guy audience whenever they do that. The guys and the girls showed off the latest and newest design for all 4 seasons. The audience went wild when our couples went out and show off their beautiful and slender bodies and how abs.
Tomohiko, just watch and enjoy the fashion show but from time to time giving death glares to anyone to dares to look at Tomo~mi. And finally the fashion show, ended. First off, the models where introduce and give a few greeting and congratulation to Tomohiko. Mariko-sama and the others slipped off before the models even went out to give thanks to the audience.
“Phew! That was fun!” Yukirin looked so happy
“Of course! It’s thanks to US, that the show ended with a blast!”Sae agreed
“I don’t think so; I think I was because of ME, the Great MARIKO-SAMA that the fashion show ended better than I expect.” Mariko-sama being playful
“Sure, Mari-chan. Now I’m hungry” Kuu rolled his eyes
“Yah, Yah, It’s all thanks to our Ohh so great, Mariko-sama.” Yuko being sarcastic then stick out her tongue to Mariko-sama
“Hey, Tomo, did you see me? How was I? “Tomo~mi snuggled to Tomo
“Of course, I was watching you the whole time! You look the best up there!” Tomo complimenting Chiyuu
“Really? Chiyuu” Tomo~mi really want to make sure
“Of course! I when did I lie to you…”Then Tomo got interrupted
“Tomo can you come up to the stage with me.” Tomohiko’s father called him
“I’ll be back on sec” Tomo said to Chiyuu and then went up to the stage together with his father
“And now, ladies and gentleman, I’d like you to meet the designer for all the clothes that you just seen and my future- daughter-in-law, Kasai Tomoka.
Everyone’s all surprise and stun, to the sudden announcement. Tomo, looked at Tomo~mi, she too just like everyone else, is shock but not only is she shock, she’s hurt and about to cry. Then slowly, Tomo~mi’s onee-chan came up to the stage. She too is shocked to the unexpected announcement. When Tomo~mi couldn’t take it anymore, she dash out of the hall
“Tomo~mi!!! “ Tomohiko saw Tomo~mi running out of the hall, come down to the stage and run as fast as he could to Tomo~mi.
When Tomohiko exited the hall, Tomo~mi’s already get on the elevator. He impatiently and repeatedly pushed the down button, but it’s seem like the elevator doesn’t want to help him. So he run to the stairs and starts running madly down the stairs. The event hall was the very top floor of the building, which is the 30th floor, so when he reached the lounge, he was eventually running out of breath.
“Tomo~mi! Wait! Let me explain” Tomo shouted as he run after Tomo~mi who’s about to get on the taxi.
“Wait!” Tomo banging on the taxi’s window for Tomo~mi to open the door, then slowly run as the taxi slowly gaining speed, then seconds later the taxi’s gone.
“Damn it!!!” Tomo angrily shouted
“Tomo!” the guys came out of the building moments later
“Did you catch up with Tomo~mi?” Mariko-sama asked
“No, she's already inside the taxi when I reach got here.” Tomo’s voice cracked.
“What are you standing there for? Go after her, here’s my car take it!” Sae tossed his car key to Tomo who effortlessly catch Sae’s car key
“GO!” They shouted and with that said, Tomo run to the parking lot and found Sae’s convertible. He jump in the car, revive the engine and speed away.
AT THE KASHIWAGI RESIDENCE
Since the trip, Acchan and Tomo~mi become more close and comfortable to each other, and from time to time, Tomo~mi will visit Acchan and Yukirin an unannounced, just hanging out with them and sometimes helping at the flower shop.
“Hey are you alright? What happen?” Acchan let Tomo~mi in the house
“I’m sorry Acchan for disturbing you in the middle of the night. “ Tomo~mi apologize
“It’s ok, I don’t really mind, you can stay here as long as you want. Can you tell me what happened Tomo~mi-chan?” Acchan asked as they sat on the couch on the living room. Before Tomo~mi can response to Acchan, the news on the TV, answered Acchan’s question.
“A shocking but happy news was announce at the Big 7, Mr. Itano’s eldest son, Itano Tomohiko’s 20th birthday party, where Mr. Itano happily announce her future daughter-in- law, his son’s fiancé, the famous and talented designer, Kasai Tomoka.”TBC.....
