I really like both versions, actually. Might be slightly biased to the English version because I like to hear JeTi sing in English

Pretty much everyone looks so amazing~ I prefer Sunny with long hair but she's Sunny Bunny so she's still hot lol

I guess I'm the only one that's not too hot about the music then, I mean it still came out better than the teaser. But imo it almost sounds like.. "everything else" in the world. It's still decent, but I prefer songs like Genie, Oh, and Mr. Taxi. But I guess they are trying to expand their market.

I like the song (the korean version at least. The english lyrics make me cringe), but it's fairly underwhelming and less unique compared to their previous single tracks. It's pretty much the same thing we've heard from both Shinee and Super Junior already, with the single note staccato verse melody and the vocal harmonics etc.

The girls look delicious in the MV, although it's a fairly standard SM MV.

The album tracks are good, a nice mix of cute tracks, some more mature stuff and ballads.

Bring on the repackage!

Naah you're not the only one, I liked some parts of the song, but I pretty much feel the same way. I also don't like the rap parts, I think it ruins the song >.<. If there weren't any rap parts I think I might have liked it better.
BUT DAMN the girls look hot...especially Tiffany.

Wow it really is hip hop shi dae! Never thought I'd see it.

Seems like the song is all build up then into the quasi rap chorus till the end. Kind of an odd structure. Although I'm am glad it's not just the standard Kpop blueprint. The vocals are really awesome and the beat is pretty baller. I think it's the first time Yoona had a decent line since Baby Baby. I'm surprised there are like 4 or 5 different outfits and they are all different and pretty great aside from a few. Seohyun looks surprisingly Boss in that hair and Taeyeon with the pink hair is just adorable and hot.

Also easily the best dance break they have had since ITNW and OH MY HOLY FUCK 1:30 IMPACT. Can't wait for music bank.

To be honest this is the first time I really felt something for a SNSD video since TMYW. I almost teared up.

I guess Tiffany did compose the English version.

I'm really reminded of Team A's Kurumi to Dialogue.

The structure actually bothers me. It's too slow to make a rap chorus work, makes it feel like the bottom dropped out of the song whenever the chorus hits, kind of breaks any sort of tension they were building in that awesome pre-chorus. I'm expecting an explosion of chorus like in A-Cha or Perfection, but instead song goes on break. :\ Even the likes of Mr. Simple and Bonamana at least maintain the tension through the rhythmic parts before ramping things up even more in the more melodic chorus/hook. Underwhelming is right.
Plus the rap break is just so lacklustre next to Hollaback Girl and Bang!.

MV visuals, on the other hand, are hella pretty. No complaints.

I really like the album, although it's kind of terrifying to think that all that bubblegum is being released in the US. My J is pretty much a remake of Arashi's Wish.

It would be a crime if Tiffany didn't have "a part" in it, I would not allow myself to sing nonsensical English knowing that I'm a fluent English speaker. "I'm genie for you boy/your wish/your dream" could've been something different, just saying...

All jokes aside, it's definitely a different sound from their last songs, there's mixed reviews about it. Some may hate the song but the video made up for it . They look gorgeous! To me this song seems to be more like an intro song (like BB's VIP, 2NE1's Fire) esp. when you name drop your group's name in the song. And with them trying to branch out into the US, it seems like a fitting song. But would this do well here in N. America? Not unless you name tag everyone cuz people are gonna get confused esp with all those wardrobe changes. Visually, it's acceptable - not too cutesy, not too foreign. Sound-wise, it's definitely a western sound that people might get into although it's a bit choppy at some parts. I just think people would be more overwhelmed with a group of 9 girls!

Dang it iTunes is so clunky. I think I bought it twice. Oh well.

I guess I tend to like the songs with that deliberate cadence. And I like stuff that kind of branches out as ling as it isn't harsh on the ears. I'm really happy with the boys. I figured it wasn't going to have a strong repetitive hook sound because they said it didn't from the start. I'm just wondering what GRX is.

Listening to the rest of the album Trick is greatness, probably could have been just as good as a single itself. Oscar is pretty damn weird and awesome "O-S-C-A-R oscar". The Vitamin song is actually pretty nice too. The rest I don't think I would put on my iPod. :/ Maybe Top Secret. Sort of sounds like a musical song or something.

The ballads are nice, although How great is your love much more so than Sunflower I think. Neither are their greatest in that area. I'm wonder does Say yes sample Ben King's Stand by me?

Telepathy sounds so.... 80s?

Overall not even in the same ballpark of transcendent amazing greatness as the Japanese album but there are some good songs. Also the fuck did they do to Mr. Taxi.

And they aren't going to promote in the US as far as I can tell, so it's not too much of a concern how their style matches or whatever. Putting an eng version on iTunes and what not it's more of a toe in the pool.

I want to drop the chorus and the rap part. Other than that that was pretty good.

Still makes me laugh to hear "we get it in." I do admit, they did a pretty good job going in. But I would still drop that chorus and rap.

I was actually really disappointed when I listened to the Korean version. First of all, I was just confused as to why Jessi's intro (as well as that bridge to the last chorus) reminded me so much of the, uh, chorus(?) of SHINee's Lucifer (I don't know, I don't really know things about boys). My favourite part of the Korean was actually the weird rap break near the end, because it was the most exciting part of the song. There just isn't enough distinction between the chorus and the verses.

The English version, however! My reaction was pretty instantaneous. This was definitely meant to be in English, despite what I thought with the teasers. It flows better and just seems to be more suited to the English lyrics. Definitely feeling the Teddy Riley influence

Not going to promote in the US, huh Zoo? Well, I guess I'll still be wondering how it would do over there then.

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to mention - they should've made the two MVs completely different, in my opinion. I know it's SME, so they wouldn't, but they should have.

the MV came out better than i expected lol

i was expecting for a 10 minutes MV though because there are so many teasers but 5 mins is good enough haha
i like both of the kor and eng version though the eng version lyrics make me cringe at some parts~ like "tell all your friends",, sounds so childish haha~ the girls are all awesome and for once i think SM used expensive cameras,, but the freeze and rotating effect at the beginning of the MV feels so abrupt for me~

and yes,, i can't tell the verse and the chorus part apart haha~ i mean the tempo (is it tempo? i don't know the term) just drop from the verse,, but it's good nonetheless...
i was afraid of the girls losing their touch when the intro starts playing but no, they still SNSD in the song
