This album is like that kinda fun happy Rihanna before she went all "Hard" lol. First cute Rihanna with joints like "You Da One" and esp. "Do Ya Thang" that's cute and sexy, love that lyrics like my kinda theme song where what my girl would be thinking.
The whole electro hop trend is laced in here tho, in "Where Have You Been" and "We Found Love (feat. Calvin Harris)" with fat drum and sick bass whatever u call it, but when I pick up a Rihanna joint, I want some R&B, hint of reggae and that kinda shit is for the remix vinyls in da club. "Talk That Talk (feat. Jay-Z)" is aight - that kinda song make you YEAH FUCK YOU ALL kinda beat, fuck all day fuck all night - kinda dragged down by Jay-Z's weak ass rhyme, like really pee lyrics lol
WHOA! Where this been? "Cockiness (Love It)" you expect Kardinall to be on this record lol she really got back to her roots here, reggae style I LOVE IT WHEN U EAT IT. "Red Lipstick" "Birthday Cake" and "Roc Me Out" are there to remind Rihanna is dirty as ever. Parental Advisory PLEASE! But Watch n' Learn is more inventive where you just wanna fuckin smother Rihanna kiss her head to toe type kinda joint. "We All Want Love" love this really sweet ballad with that kinda wave your arms in the air feel yet "Fool In Love" just rips are your heart, poor poor Rihanna crushing. "Drunk On Love" - my fave track #1A her vocals just blast the fuck outta your speakers with that mission impossible type beat lol "Farewell" - pretty sad ballad, fits that going to airport type song. OVERALL. It's like Rihanna got back to her roots and just wanted to make a simple ass record - minus the huge sets, wild music videos, and superstar guest appearances.
