(Reuters) - Bottom warmers in cars may ease frigid winter commutes, but dermatologists warn that extended exposure to seat heaters can lead to a skin condition called "toasted skin syndrome."

I remember reading a story a while back about this condition in relation to laptop use.

Heh, now my family and I feel very safe and sound as we never go for heated seats in a vehicle at all.  I pretty much know the feeling because in the summer time, non-cloth seats heat up like a mofo where I live.  In a way, resting your leg up against a heated seat is kinda like touching an exposed exhaust (which happened to my oldest brother years ago).  The heating system in the car should be sufficient enough anyways.
