Random Episode 2 thoughts:

- Plot barely moved forward. I think a lot of already assumed the person Paru murdered was Keita
- Awkward Abe x Haruu scene D:
- Yuria seems in love with Paru

She's oozing pheromones all over the place.
- Kumi looks good, but her character isn't cool.
- Kanon's still annoying despite being barely in this episode.
- Lemon and Kato only appear in the last seconds of the episode :/ It's probably the same for Ranran next week.

The best bit to me are probably the Peace x Paru interactions and Paru's background story. The underlying rivalry and the fights haven't really caught my attention yet.

Let's make it a 5/10 this time.

Damn, I couldn't even enjoy the camp or crack this ep at all because the acting was so terrible. You know there's a problem when Kawaei's the least awful this ep. (Although tbh, Oba was tolerable this ep as well, about on par with Tomochin's S2 Shibuya)

This ep was considerably worse than the last one due to the incredibly awful acting. They must have been rushed for time and only did one non-flub take per shot before moving on. The editting could probably be tighter, as well, since Uruseyo's lines that were sudden with snappy cuts were marginally less bad. (Like that "I like cheeky girls!" line) Otherwise, the only part I liked in this ep was the gag with the overseer and the towel.

I'm probably not a really picky person or just really easy to please?... ~~Though I agree that the acting is kind of bad~~

All that Tetsuwo x Uruseyo was killing me in this episode~

I can why some ppl were complaining about the acting, yes it's a little... eh but I can live with it, Maria is pretty new to this. Her last role in MJSK was just a lackey extra so she didn't speak but I like her character too much to complain so early about it, I'll wait to see if she improves somewhat.

Still on the bar about Paru's though

I wonder if Komimi will eventually rebel against Daasu?

so far i saw this new season as an alternate universe from season 1

i mean

episode 1: paru vs kumi-kanon-kawei much like maeda vs team hormone

episode 2: paru vs haru-abe much like maeda vs kabuki sisters, with yuria getting beaten by those two made it more similiar with what happened to daruma before...

lemon and the other girl (i don't know her name) came out with umbrella are just like the sanshou sisters to me

and somehow i feel kumi's character are a bit like nezumi...came out of nowhere,eavesdroping on other people's conversation etc

i wonder what will happen on episode 3

Pretty uninteresting so far. They're just recycling stuff from the first season, just in a different setting. The fight scenes need to be better. First two episodes are similar to that of season one, but season one had the fight with Kasai which was cool. Plus Kabuki Sisters are just cool anyway. Maybe this season just lacks the characters.

Hoping Suzuran can make it more interesting!

Episode 2 was extremely slow, unproductive, and what little was revealed was so obvious and flat that I could barely be bothered to care.

I was worried this would happen from how episode 1 was. Pick up the damn pace and tell a story already. We get it. Not too distant future, girls prison, they fight a lot. Now what? The whole thing with Uruseyo and Tetsuo was just weird. All of the characters are coming off poorly because they're just too flat. Shimazaki's the quiet mystery, Yuria's the needy sidekick, Kuumin's a poorly written version of Nezumi, Shimada and her group will likely end up siding wih Paru a la Team Hormone... I know it's only episode 2 but I'm worried about this show. Season 2 started off kinda meh and crashed and burned, seems like season 3 might be dead on arrival. It feels like they're trying to recreate the magic of season 1 but they're forgetting what made season 1 worth watching: it had just a tiny bit of heart and story to it. Nothing award-winning, but it kept you interested. This ain't interesting. The script and execution are flat as a pancake. And also, maybe I'm just looking at it too harshly now, but the fighting scenes seem badly done. I know it's all camera tricks and shit but it just seems amateur-ish this time around.

I'll keep a open mind, and since subs are coming out quickly I'll likely finish it, but I'm quite worried.

But all that said, I don't hate the show. It just isn't outstanding in any way so far. At least we have Ranran looking pretty fine to look foward to next episode.

The thing that disappoints me the most about this 3rd season, is that most of the fights so far is just some raw punch-and-kicks exchanges.

There are no such things as artsy techniques, 'hissatsu's, or specific fighting style/martial arts like what we had in previous seasons.

Hopefully Ranran will give us something unique, considering her golf-gimmicks already making appearances in the previews...

Btw, is it just me, or am I seeing Jo as one of the Team Mongoose crew in the preview?

I hope RanRan's character will be a little more interesting. Just to show they still know how to make some nice bad guy characters.
MG1 helped a lot of members become more popular, and literally propelled Rena, MG2 had a nice helping of Fondue, Nezumi, Jurina and people got to know Yui.
But so far, I think only Paru and Yuria are going to get any benefit at all from the show. As most fans don't know or care as much about Team 4 or SKE48, it would be sad if they screwed up this chance to promote the new gen due to a soaked up story and boring fight scenes.

I don't know why but I'm not a fan of this dorama. I don't like dorama very much and I think that Ii don't watch this season because I haven't watched seasons 1&2

- My God is Kanon annoying in this drama. I'm so disappointed every time she opens up her mouth. I know her whole thing is supposed to be 'just kidding' but can they please give her some lines that don't end with 'just kidding'. It honestly feels like a waste.
- The fight scenes are really disappointing as well. They just don't feel very well executed and aren't as great looking as they were last season to be honest.
- Wow, Paruru actually smiled and didn't look like she was bored out of her mind for a few seconds.
- The only thing good about this episode was Yuria and that guy (still don't know his name)
- I'm really surprised that they revealed Paru's secret so fast, I really thought they wouldn't reveal that until the last few episodes (even though it was already pretty obvious what happened)

Overall, the only reason why I'm still watching this is because I really like Yuria and Shimada (and even though Non is super annoying, she's still incredibly cute and nice to look at so it's okay) and because of shipping purposes.

The acting has actually gotten worse in this 2nd episode. Non's character is still annoying as fuck. And I'm actually finding how they portrayed the Haru/Abe love relationship kinda creepy.

The only saving grace thus far has been Yuria/Peace, who's turning out to be a much more interesting character than Paru. Big kudo for the warden scene too, which looks like a subtle dig at creepy wotas that collect unwashed items of their idols.

Well, we don't know for a fact that Paru killed Keita. We don't know what Peace actually saw on that file. I'm hoping Peace has a dark back story (and maybe a link to Paru) as well. She may turn out to be the most evil girl in the prison.

Oh very true. I've actually never even thought about it that way. Peace just seems so kind and innocent, that it would make a very good plot twist if it turned out that way. That actually sounds so good, that I'll kind of be disappointed if Peace just turns out to be completely innocent.

Mmm... I was thinking it would go more like a "Yuria having her own dark past, blackmailed and made to do something to hurt Paru, Paru forgives and saves her, smooch smooch friends" pattern

On the other hand, Sith Yuria doesn't sound bad. You've seen all those blog pics she has with a hoodie on. Totally in the Nezumi club.

And... none of the stuff I've said has any evidence of it happening.

Ep03 is so much better. It actually feels like a MG episode.
They're using Kuumin right at last, it's like Dance all over again!

Lemon, Rena and RanRan's characters were done well too. Makes you feel there's still some hope where this shows going.

Probably some spoilers here.

Komimi sparking up a lot of funny scenes.
Some nice sync fighting. Darn, Rena is going to get a boost from this show. She'll at least get extra points in my book for stopping Lemon talking.

Paru going all emotional.
And, of course, RanRan/Bunker looking super-hot and uber-cool at the same time.

Fave moment.
Nantene telling Komimi: "Komimi. If you can't stand it anymore, it might be better if you just disappear. KyakyaKyakya!!".
Then they wait for her to say "nante ne~" at the end, but instead get...
