I've been lurking at the video and watching the comments stream update constantly. The response from the Japanese fans has been very encouraging and it makes me even happier to see that even the first generation fans are slowly coming back to the fold, with several commenting that they might actually buy this single for the first time since 10 years ago.

Words cannot express how much I love this in general, because I love this new Momusu to bits. Riho is amazing, Ayumin is amazing, so much love for everyone, even the ones I'm not looking at.

The real surprise for me here was Eripon, whom I hardly had any expectations for. That is usually the case.

They always surprise me when I least expect it.

The only real downer is how the English-speaking fans are almost always uniformly negative and/or whiny. Is it not enough to love the group? Must you nitpick endlessly about line distribution? I might be biased, of course, since I adore Riho and Riho is right in the front and has a lion's share of the lines. But it's not as if the other members are completely invisible. Hell, I was watching this with rokun and he and I notice completely different people in the same video.

It's called selective attention, and I'm more interested in the cohesion of the group as a whole and the charms of those that manage to catch my eye, rather than bitch about how so-and-so doesn't have enough screentime. Again, I repeat that I might have a bias, since my favorite has tons of screentime, but I'm just saying how frustrating it is to read English speakers whine on the official video about how "oh, Reina again? I'm sick of hearing Reina" or "Oh, you mean Momusu had more than 2 members?" Comments like this really hurt the fandom, and it hurts my pitiful little wota heart, who just wants to have fun and love the girls. At least the Japanese fans are basically rejoicing in how the new girls are shining in their own ways, pointing out the good things and generally living it up. That's not to say criticism is a bad thing, but really. At least nitpick on more important things, will ya? And even when the Japanese fans like the girls with less screentime, they don't whine and blame Tsunku and demand more screentime. They are more like "GANBARE!!! WORK HARD SO YOU CAN HAVE YOUR DAY IN THE SUN!!". I like this attitude so much better.

Sorry about the rant lol. It gets annoying to see the English speaking fans making a ruckus about the usual uneven line distribution, when Momusu has ALWAYS had uneven line distribution. I mean, it goes all the way back to when it was Nacchi feat. Morning Musume. It's not new, it's not going to change, and at least now the kids actually get more screentime compared to before. Is it not enough to love and support them? I know I'm having fun watching the view counter frozen at 308, and the likes counter climbing steadily. 4400+ likes in a 7 hour period. That's progress. Renai Hunter on the official channel only has 11k likes, total. After how many months? We're not even past the first 12 hours and we're already halfway there for this one. I can't help but be caught up in the insane enthusiasm shown by the commenters.

Also, my real purpose of commenting here is to post this:

Fun fact: Ookubo Kaoru also did the arrangement for songs like Nanchatte Renai and Kimagure Princess.

I had a look at the others, and they were involved in songs that I really like, not just from H!P, but outside it as well.

This looks promising.
I guess each version will have the different b-sides located separately. This should be entertaining...
