Sashihara Rino Transferred to HKT48

Few days an article popped out about Sashihara Rino having a boyfriend and that she sent nude pictures to him. Today at ANN, Sasshi denied sending such pictures but she didn't deny he was her friend.

And just a few moments ago at ANN, Aki-P announced that Sasshi will now transfer to HKT48. Rather than penalty like suspension, Sasshi will be transferred to HKT like a reset.

Is it gonna be "temporary" like Jurina and Milky or no? Since Aki-p said that she's now "HKT48's Sashihara not AKB48's Sashihara"

Sasshi herself is a wota. Really, she should have known better

I doubt the HKT48 members and their fans will be happy with this transfer. The spotlight will be on Sasshi after this.

I look at it like this: people taking a peek at HKT because of Rino, when they would have otherwise ignored HKT before, are more liable to become fans of the group. Maybe they'll give their single, whenever it comes out, a listen, or have their eye caught by a legit HKT member. I doubt the staff / many fans will tolerate a forced Rino center in HKT, anyway.

As a Sasshi oshi, this is big news. At first, I laughed about it. It was so random, so over the top, and so ridiculous that I really couldn't believe it. As a little sink in time passed I am not fond of the idea. For one, it's Sasshi. Sasshi is literally miles ahead of any other AKB48 member to me. She's the one true top oshi favorite I have in these groups. For her to be yanked out of that throws my fandom of the AKB48 group into total disarray. Having a particular oshi isn't that big of a deal. Having a binding force behind liking the group as a whole, however, is. Sashihara really does mean that much to be as far as the AKB48 group is concerned. It's not like I am going to start to hate AKB48 or ragequit the group over it, but it does makes me feel really, really rattled for the time being, and recovering from that could take a decent while. It definitely knocked the wind out of my sails, to put it metaphorically. I'm not shy that I find idols to be disposable entertainment, for lack of a better term. If I lose an oshi, I'll just find another one. That doesn't mean I like to lose one, though.

I look at it like this: people taking a peek at HKT because of Rino, when they would have otherwise ignored HKT before, are more liable to become fans of the group. Maybe they'll give their single, whenever it comes out, a listen, or have their eye caught by a legit HKT member.

Respectfully, I find this a bit short-sighted. That is more possible for fans like us, but the Japanese wota are a different beast altogether and in the end how they react in droves massively outweights what a the relatively small amount of gaijin fans might think. I don't think Sasshi stands to gain anything from this, nor HKT48. Sasshi oshis will stay Sasshi oshis(assuming they decide to in spite of this now-huge scandal), and HKT girl oshis will still follow their girls either ignoring Sasshi or resenting her for fucking things up. I think it would be better for HKT48 to garner a following of their own accord rather than having a 'disgraced' idol join their ranks. Then again, what do I know, really? All I have is more guesses, more conjecture. It's up to the fans and staff how this goes down. But as of right now, I see this scandal being played up to extreme proportions. It's going to be a big deal now because they MADE it a big deal by doing all this.

To be frank, I am worried about this. I'm worried about HKT48's members and how their hard work might fall to the wayside. I'm worried that Sasshi's career might be coming to a sooner-than-expected end. I'm just worried, period.

I think this is an awful idea. Not really because it isn't fair, because there's no fair in these situations. No two are ever handled the same. I mean just look at Yonezawa Rumi and Hirajima Natsumi's punishment versus Yoshida Akari and Watanabe Miyuki's. I think above fair, this just doesn't make any damn sense. Where's the lesson to Sasshi? You fucked up and you get to do a hostile takeover of another group? Why is HKT48 being punished by being made into Sasshi's detention group? The more I think about it, the more frustrated I get. They should have just ignored the article or did a typical suspension. This is utter nonsense.

My insights :
  • If this wasn't Sasshi, she would've been forced to graduate, or simply get fired. It's because of her current popularity that Aki-P did this. Look at what happened to Yonezawa Rumi and Hirajima Natsumi.
  • A scandal talking about a relationship at 2008-2009 released a while after Sasshi's 4th place in the elections? Something's fishy going on. Haters are trying to bring her down. And some websites like AKBwrapup identified some inconsistencies in the article.
  • Aki-P practically sent Sasshi to exile out of AKB. What's gonna happen to AKB's next single? Who's going to replace her? If the filming of the MV already started with her, would it carry on?
  • This makes HKT look like a garbage dump. I know the popularity difference is so much different, but I sensed a rise of HKT when Miyawaki Sakura placed in the elections. Sadly, this transfer won't help both AKB and HKT at all. Fans of HKT wouldn't exactly welcome her because of what she's done, or all that the members who were already in HKT did would be put to waste because she's there and she's gonna take over. If the latter would happen, HKT would grow popular, in a negative way. Notorious.
  • The article wasn't analyzed and read over much by Aki-P. See 2nd bullet.
  • This decision wasn't thought over very well either. Too many things can happen. Mostly for the worst. How's this "supporting" Sasshi?
  • I think this is stupid. Plain bull****

I'll admit I'm not a Sasshi fan. But I really can't believe such a tragedy could occur in real-life celebrity news.

The following link is Sasshi's apology to everyone.

    Quick thoughts:

    • I think everyone would agree, scandals are stupid. I don't care if Sashihara sexed some dude four years ago. But as it is, the media feeds on this shit and makes it a big deal. And this is obviously blown out of proportion. Sucks.
    • AkiP is a Grand Master Troll, no denying that. He could have dismissed this as nothing big, especially because it involves his oshimen, but nope, exile her instead.
    • I don't agree or disagree with the decision to send her to HKT, just thought the decision was funny as hell. Don't get me wrong though, I love me some Sashiko.
    • Her move may raise interest in HKT, but in general it's gonna suck for Sashihara.
    • Not upset about the transfer or the situation, rather I'm upset FOR her. The release of the pictures and talking out way after the fact when she's really popular is a total dick move. The guy is a douche lol. If I were her I'd be outraged; choke some bitches.
    • Sasshi gone means... Tomo back in Kami7? Hail the great TOMO.
    • Looking forward to Tamori's response, along with her other Ii Tomo! colleagues.

^They've always been vulnerable. There've been more controversial news in AKB than any group that I know of. It comes with the popularity, and since the group has so many members, people shouldn't be surprised news of this type showing up now and then. It has for years and they're still around.

I feel the decision is flawed and I'm against it. If Aki-P wants to keep Sasshi, he should've done a Sayaka and put Sasshi on haitus at least for half a year then reset her status in AKB or put her in KKS again. Call it punishment, call it hiding from the crowd, call it her time to re-organize herself. But I think it would've been a much healthier choice in the long run for her career.

They should've at least thought about the options longer, this decision was way too rushed, even for a senbatsu member. It'll change a girl's future (Sasshi will have to continue working while with this stress), it'll surely make a drop in HKT's momentum, and change AKB's overall image.
Honestly. If Sasshi gets too stressed and chooses to graduate in the near future, I'll be really upset at AKB's management.

The new matter at hand.
Sashiko being transferred to HKT48

-The article that came out did surprise me (that and the Takahashi Ai one too), of Sashiko of all ppl?
-To me, not that other's have not worked as hard. Since the start of the Senbatsu Election she worked her way up. She progressed really well and I find her as a new type of idol some of us enjoy and other things.

- From what I think, if Aki-P were to have fired her, putting this in a simple term because I can't think of another way to describe this, a lot fans and ppl would be upset.
Compared to what happened with Hirajima and Yonezawa earlier this year, with Sasshi's popularity it did help "ease" the punishment right?
One must imagine what she and the other members is feeling right now.
Thinking of the 27th single at hand, it is hard to say what will be the outcome of this. That and of HKT's future.

-I find the dude that started this a total D-bag. I mean naked pictures really?
-I'm worried of what is to happen with her activities on the variety programs, her solo and what is to become of Notyet?
Other questions that also pop into mind, will she be the "Representative" of HKT in the upcoming singles of AKB?
And another thing, AKB just recorded the PV for the 27th single just a couple days ago, so I'm curious to see what Team Sasshi is going to be affiliated in.

But I guess right now, us fans just got to wait and see how this all goes.

Just remembered one more thing, the AKB performances. With Sasshi being a senbatsu member in AKB's major singles. Will she still perform in them?

Is it just me or everything seems a little bit too fishy...

- There is almost no explanation about what really happened
- Ota production didn't give any comments regarding this at all
- The timing of the article seems planned, waiting for the election's results (remember this scandal is about things happened 3-4 years ago, why now?)
- HKT don't need more member at the moment, I don't think it's a good move to put sasshi there
- Sasshi's other activities will continue as normal (as an HKT member)

it seems like everything is just another PR strategy for this week's news...
(or is it just me thinking too much  )

AKB48 is slowly dead  :catglare:

“AKB48 is strong but vulnerable”
I dont draw so sharply, but the fact that this is not good for the AKB.
- If you think about it a bit, then a similar kind of scandal would have surfaced sooner or later.(I think)
- I think there are secrets that are better not revealed.

BTW, There's something in the background, cause this revealed now, nad not later, or not sooner. Something more serious things.
- The punishment can be said is a little weird.

- What I really dont want, that the HKT48 not to be a punishment-team, to put members who have something...

Last thing:
Tokyo Dome concert will be the most epic AKB family concert... I'm sure.

This makes HKT look like a garbage dump. Notorious.

My thoughts exactly. Now that Sasshi has been transferred to HKT48, I hope that Aki-p won't promote her as one of the front girls. That'd be too unfair to the HKT members. They should move forward and build up their own fanbase as a group, much like what SKE and NMB did. Capable leaders will emerge when the time is right. Now HKT is simply thrown into the limelight due to Sasshi's scandal. Are they ready to handle such scrutiny and will they be able to meet whatever expectations that the public have of them? If they are not ready, people will just walk away disappointed and perhaps won't even give the group a second chance.

In short, Sasshi's transfer may give HKT publicity but if they are unable to utilise it, it will very likely work against them.

Last thing:
Tokyo Dome concert will be the most epic AKB family concert... I'm sure.

I sense another team shuffle. Aki-p may use this chance to balance out the powers among the teams. Whatever happens, as long as Mayuyu and Yukirin stay in Team B, I'll stay a happy fan :P

A more jaw-dropping thing that Aki-p can do is to conduct a mass shuffle among ALL OOO48 groups :panic:

My turn for random thoughts  XD

I don't think Sasshi stands to gain anything from this

This. After all her hard work to make a name for herself she is almost back to zero. Being 4th in AKB48 and being the 'center' of HKT48 are hugely different. Being an AKB48 undergirl is probably still better than being in HKT48. So yeah, Sasshi is the big loser in this situation.

Quote
Aki-P practically sent Sasshi to exile out of AKB. What's gonna happen to AKB's next single? Who's going to replace her? If the filming of the MV already started with her, would it carry on?

I think they'll thread her the same as Matsui Rena, Yamamoto Sayaka, etc. She can be HKT's representative in the singles.

Quote
In short, Sasshi's transfer may give HKT publicity but if they are unable to utilise it, it will very likely work against them.

HKT48 is definitely lacking in popularity. I mean, if you compare how quickly NMB and even N46 became popular, HKT still has a long way to go. This may be the extra boost they need...

My thoughts:
- I think Aki-P has been wanting to a shuffle like this for a long time. He just used this 'scandal' as a opportunity to finally make it happen. I knew something like this would happen ever since Mayu was part of N46 in Sabadoll.
- Instead of HKT, Sasshi should have been transferred to N46
- The whole thing is super fishy and we'll never know what all the underlying motives and reasons are for this 'solution.' That's one thing we've learned by now and there's nothing we can do about it. That doesn't make it any less painful for the people involved though.
- Sasshi's one of my top 10 favs and I do feel bad for her. She has to leave her home, friends, start all over again and with plenty of haters too. I really wonder how she'll be able to cope with all of this.
