I think hiroayu kicked all our collective asses last year. Any suggestions for Type of Draft. Stats Categories? Point Distribution? Etc. just speak out!

When we get enough players (hopefully 5) we'll do the draft.

Sosa considering retirement!?

Strange but true.

Sosa should beg for a tryout with the Colorado Rockies.  If he wants to make it to 600 homers, it's going to take that kind of ballpark to do it.

You can be proud of your South Siders.  The front office did not stay idle during the off season, although I'm sorry Frank Thomas (a Hall of Famer FOR SURE) was let go.  The team will remain competitive in '06.

:cheers Spring Training Started.

And the "World" Baseball "Classic" hahaha. Wonder who will show up.

I  Ozzie Guillen, just ripping people left and right! Hope White Sox win again next year! Brushing off Bush...and calling A-Rod a fake, cuz he was switching between US + Dominican Republic.

It best he retire. The thin air might make his joints burst. In similar news. Barry Bonds says 2006 will be his last:

If true, I hope Barry goes out with a BOOM!

Easily the greatest player of my lifetime -- and perhaps the most underappreciated as well.  Him or Rickey Henderson.

He could possibly go to the Junior Circuit and DH a couple more years if he really wanted to catch Aaron's 755 dingers.

=/....People will hate him even more if he passes Aaron...but I don't think that would happen this year. I don't think he will retire after this season.

Not to worry.  Bonds talked to a writer from MLB.com saying that he could play for "another five years, another 10 years."  Yeah, right.

These things are impossible to predict.  Bonds could go on a tear and get intentionally walked three times a game again.  Or he could slip running the bases, wrench the knee and decide that he's had enough of traveling and reality TV.  And Aaron's career record is safe.

Man, I dunno what Barry is thinking. dude is easily the most hated or most loved player in sports history.

Speaking of Rickey, ain't he back as a coach of the Mets? Just wish Albert Belle would get his ass outta trouble though. I loved it when he chased the kids for nailing his house but he was nailed for stalking his ex-girlfriend, taken into custody and was being held without bond.

That shit counts when Hall of Fame balloting occurs unless your numbers overwhelmingly qualify you (Ted Williams, Rickey, Barry Bonds).  The only way to avoid election is the Joe Jackson/Pete Rose way.

By the way, ESPN picked up Tino Martinez for its "Baseball Tonight" lineup.  Fuck, I remember when that show used to be THE show to watch.  Now it's just overrated players and dunderhead intellects.  I wish Peter Gammons would bail that joint.

That's pretty funny...  He talks to the press so rarely its not surprising the people don't even know he can speak English...
I really hope he just gets used to Boston and stops whining about a trade... How could he hate a town that loves him so much?...

Kirby Puckett dead at 44

Kirby Puckett: 1960-2006

I will never forget Kirby in Game 6 of the '91 Series, making a game-saving catch AND hitting a walk-off homer, sending the series to a classic Game 7.  That's what Hall-of-Famers are made of.

Fuck he died?!!?  :?   I read in the paper today about the stroke, but it didn't mention anything about him dying.  That fuckin' sucks ass. He was one of the truly great ambassadors for the game.

RIP Mr. Puckett.

WHOA.

I saw half way through the report and everyone was talking about him. how great he was. and at the time he was in critical condition. Only 44? Such a shame is career was cut short too. RIP Kirby.

Does anybody knows whos gonna be Dodgers closing pitcher?

Gagne or Baez?

Baez was a closer before he got picked up by the dodgers and i have him on my team. dont know if i should drop him though. Gagne is smoking in spring training
