Chapter 29 - Part 1
Currently I was half-walking-half running towards Majijo. Why, you asked? Because Yuko-san told me to come shortly after my classes ended, but the damn traffic in Shinjuku where my prep-school was located, was on its worst today. Because of that, and the damn teacher that just wouldn’t leave after the bell rang, I had to miss the train. Yuko-san told us that if we couldn’t come in Monday, it’s okay, but knowing her, it’ll be for the best if I at least come to Majijo even only for a while. And when I was inside of Majijo’s ground, I immediately dashed towards the stadium.
When my eyes spotted some of Majijo’s girl near the stadium, I stopped in my track and took a deep breath to control ragged breathing and made myself more presentable. After a while, I composed myself, tried to put on my queen’s mask, the bored and bad-ass look, and slowly walked towards the stadium while giving a glare to whoever stood in my way. When I was inside, the first thing I saw was the three huge rings in the middle of the stadium, octagon rings, just like the ones in Dragon`s Gym. Then, in front of the three rings, stood the small podium with few chairs on top of it, where most of Rappappa`s members and some other peoples located. On the left side of the podium, stood some whiteboard where Wota and Unagi were scribbling something on it. After I saw the Rappappa’s members, I didn’t even bother to watch the matches.
As I walked closer, I noticed the other peoples that were on the podium. They were Captain Takahashi’s Shitennou. As Yuko-san had said before, perhaps they were there to be the supporting power when needed. The Captain herself wasn’t here though. But, why the hell that Ohori stood so close to my girl? And those occasional skin-ships she did. Grhhhh… Damn it. I felt myself scowled and gave death-glare towards her while I walked towards the podium. And I definitely saw Ohori smirked to me when our eyes met, made my girl, who was talking to her at that time, to turned back to look at my direction and gave a slight smile to me since we still has to hide our true relationship from others’ prying eyes. But her smile slowly turned into a frown when she took notice of the death-glare I gave to Ohori.
When I reached the side of the low podium, I jumped on top of it and went towards Yuko-san and Gekikara’s direction, when usually I would go to Tomo first. But because that Ohori was there, and because I was afraid I couldn’t control my emotion if I go there, I didn’t.
Gekikara smiled at me as I was getting closer to them, while Yuko-san, who’s immediately noticed my foul mood, punched my arms lightly as a greeting, flung her arm around my shoulder and whispered to me, “Don’t get jealous so easily. You’re hurting her feeling if you’re like this.” By which I responded with a growl. She glanced from the corner of her eyes towards them, and whispered again, “Yep… you did. Her mask is still intact, but I can see the pain in her eyes clearly.”
I pried her arm off me and went to sit on one of the chairs there while muttered, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Yeah… yeah… riiiiiiiiiiiight…,” she teasingly said while sat down beside me, “seriously though, don’t fight just because of this. As Cap’n had said, Ohori just likes to plays around, remember? And add the fact that they were neighbors for years…. And after all, Ohori-san is already- ”
“Whatever…,” I muttered with a roll of my eyes, and I decided to change the topic, “Anyway, how’s it going?”
Yuko-san gave me the ‘I-know-what-you’re-trying-to-do’ looks for a while, then she nodded her head towards the rings, then she pointed at the left and center rings and said with a bored tone, “Well, right now we’re only getting the matches for the 4th and 5th winner positions, they’ll get free lunches for 2 weeks, courtesy of the Head Mistress. We already found the Top Three for next round tomorrow. And… as we had predicted before, Center wins to the next round,” she then turned to look at the whiteboard, “one junior and… Shaku.”
When I heard the last name I immediately whipped my head to fully looked at her to see whether she’s joking with me or not while shouting a “WHAT?!”
She smiled ruefully and mumbled, “you’ve heard me.”
“B-but… why Shaku…” My question trailed off into nothing as I was at lost of what to say.
“To prove herself to Sado perhaps…,” she sighed her answer and then she scratched her head, “I don’t understand too.”
I glanced at Shaku who was sitting down at the corner of the podium with an eerily serious expression as I was remembering Rappappa’s meeting last week in my apartment.
*Flashback, the meeting at Shibuya’s apartment.
“So…, we’ll set up a… tournament… so to speak… just like the usual Sports Festival,” Yuko-san said with the spoon still hanging from her mouth. She took another spoonful of ice cream before continued, “but, like what I had said before, we’ll do it Majijo’s style. Which means… Fight Tournament….”
“… Cool…,” I said with starry eyes at the mentions of fight, “hey, hey…, Yuko-san, can I join too?”
“No way.” She dead-panned with a serious looks, made me scowling instantly, and then she added, “it’s for Majijo’s student only.”
“So... with it being a tournament… what are the prizes?” Sado-san asked.
“The… top of Majijo….” Yuko-san said slowly.
“WHAT!?”
Yuko-san smiled at our aghast look and added, “But for that, they need to pass from you all first. The first day will be the ‘elimination day’ where the contestants will fight each other and the three winners from the first day, will fight three of the Shitenou, they choose, in a group fight. And the one, who’s still standing after that, if it was the contestant, will face….”
“Please tell me it’s not you.” Torigoya cut Yuko-san with her question.
Yuko-san smiled reassuringly at Torigoya and mumbled, “No…,” and she caressed Torigoya’s cheek oh-so-gently while softly said, “as much as I want to… I don’t want to make you worried even more.” Made me shivered in…, I didn’t know… disgust was too… overboard…, maybe awkward was more fitting…, at their blatant display of affections which was quite rare if you took out Yuko-san’s pervert ways of skin-ships. From the corner of my eyes, I saw the new couple was trying hard to hide their smile, while Sado-san was slightly frowning and sighed.
“So… who’ll they facing with?” Black asked after a few moments of awkward silence and she shifted Ren position in her lap.
“Maeda.” Yuko-san mumbled her answer, ice cream long forgotten.
“Ah…. I see….”
“But… won’t they think that this is unfair? Considering how we’re on top of Majijo for reasons.” I asked, “I mean… the chance for them to win is very… small.”
“Yeah… well…, that’s why I told you all have to come on the second day,” Yuko-san said while scratching her head, “so if… there’s a… brawl going on… even if they don’t pick you up as opponent, which I think the chances of them picking you is kinda small, because picking-you-up means death-wish…,” she trailed off, “but… it’s highly probable that there will be… protest of… whatever the result will be. You all should come to… ‘maintain the condition’, so to speak.”
“And there’s this Nezumi,” Sado-san added, “I think she’ll use this chance to ‘screw’ us.”
“Yeah… the probability for that is quite high…,” Yuko-san mumbled, “Cap’n thinks so too, which is why she’ll ask her friend to come and help us.”
The others were nodding their head at what Yuko-san had said but for me, I remembered what had happened when we first met Captain Takahashi’s Shitenou. Or more precisely one of them. Ohori. Oh, I knew she’s on our side, and according to my girlfriend, a good and kind onee-chan. But that doesn’t mean I have to like her, right? Which, I don’t anyway. And, her, visiting my girlfriend for almost every day when she was hospitalized and being all touchy-feely with her, only made me disliking her even more.
“Tch…,” I muttered in exasperation, knowing that it would be for the best that they’ll come too. But I didn’t like it at all, so I tried to found another subject that related to that issue. “Was it because of the up-coming tournament that she often came home bruised and battered recently?” I asked while pointing at my bedroom with my head to made them knew who I was talking about.
“Yeah, I ordered them to do it with Youran and Shaku, it was for training more than an actual fight actually.” Yuko-san sighed, “because, well, let’s face the truth, the contestants will choose to fight them over you all.”
“Because they considered the recent Rappappa are weaker than us.” Sado-san finished. “And, not to mention the Kabuki Sisters are still not in their best condition after that raid.”
“Yeah. Hence the trainings.” Yuko-san amended, “I hope it’ll works out or we might-”
The sound of door being opened made Yuko-san stopped in the middle of her speech, and all eyes in the room glanced at the direction of the sound, which was from my bedroom’s door. Tomo, who was behind the said door, grimaced awkwardly and then she hurriedly walked toward the bathroom while saying, “Eh~, sorry to interrupt. I just wanna go to the toilet.” And I noticed she had worn short pants by now.
“Nah..., you’re not interrupting anything.” Yuko-san said with amusement apparent in her voice. “This is your home, you know.” And she and Sado-san laughed a little at how Tomo hastily walked as if she was afraid of something. Which she wasn’t, she was just feeling a bit uncomfortable because of them being her. Well, I guessed. “It’s funny, how uncomfortable she is because of us being here.” Yuko-san said with a low voice. “She’s never like that in school.”
“I think this is the first time I saw her being all awkward like that.” Sado-san added with a low voice too.
“That’s because you all invading her personal space without notice first.” I grumbled out.
“Yeah, well…, I’m your sachou, you see,” Yuko-san said with a shrug, “I want to see how you cope with living together with her, since I know how individual and private you are.”
“Thanks for the concern,” I retorted with full of sarcasm, “but we’re doing fine.”
“But earlier you said…” Torigoya piped in, but I immediately cut her out.
“We’re fine. Just… need to adapt. That’s all.”
Torigoya was about to retort back at me when Tomo opened the toilet’s door, and like before, all eyes flew to her direction again.
“…What?” she asked, suspicious.
Yuko-san gave her a cheeky grin and answered, “nothing~”
Tomo shifted her gaze to me and asked again in exasperation, “What?”
“How the hell should I know?” I answered while I was rolling my eyes.
She narrowed her eyes at me for a few more seconds until Yuko-san distracted her by asking oh-so-innocently, “Why do you wear pants now?”
“H-huh?”
“I’m not joking when I said you should show you legs more, you know…,” Yuko-san said oh-so-innocently again and then she drawled out while grinning perversely, “Maaaaaan~~~, I’m lucky… all of my Rappappa have their fair shares of beauties…. Goddamn hot Tori-nyan, graceful beauty Sado, fashion gal Shibuya, the double ojou-sama beauties Geki and Black… and our kouhai are good too.”
I rolled my eyes at her remark while at the same time fought with the urge to growl at her indecent thought of my girlfriend, even though I knew she would never ever cheat on behind Torigoya’s back… or else she’ll having nightmares for the rest of her life. At the same time, Torigoya was coughing slightly to catch Yuko-san attention while Sado-san sighed in a tired manner at the up-coming World War III between Torigoya and Yuko-san. Geki and Black smiled amusedly at the situation. We all know the fight wouldn’t be too serious, so we’re not too concerned with it.
But instead of fighting, Yuko-san who’s seemed to notice Torigoya’s foul mood, grinned her much-too-innocent-squirrel’s-grin to Torigoya before latched herself on her, which made both of them to fall back at the carpeted floor. Even after they both fell, Yuko-san still didn’t let go of Torigoya, she was snuggling even more closer to her instead, which Torigoya responded with wrapping her arms around Yuko-san. They didn’t even care (or realize) that we were also there nor the fact that they were in other’s apartment.
“Eh…,” Tomo whispered hesitantly after a few moments of awkward silence, save for the sound the couples on the floor made as they were cuddling and, to our horror, started to kiss, “did they always like this even though you all are also here?”
Then unanimous and long sighs from Sado-san, Black, Geki and me answered her, made her eyes widen and she with a louder voice she asked, “Seriously?”
“Even before they’re officially dating, they were often gone in their own world whenever we’re alone.” Sado-san sighed, “You know, some playful bantering, discreetly flirting with each other and such. And after they became official, it’s only getting worse.” Black, Geki and me amended Sado-san speech with a nod.
“Eh~~~”
“OY! My apartment is not your private love hotel! Go back home if you want to do ‘that’!!” I shouted while crossing my arms in front of my chest when I saw Yuko-san was starting to grope Torigoya, made them froze for a bit and Yuko-san turned to gave me a pointed-irritated look, then she stood up and helped Torigoya, who’s blushing madly, to stand up.
“Fine then. We’ll leave now…,” Yuko-san muttered childishly, and then she turned all serious again, “don’t forget the tournament though.”
*End of Flashback
“Wait…,” I slowly said as I realized something, “this means…. Yuko-san, this means Shaku will face us tomorrow?”
“More likely… yeah, she will.” Yuko-san grimly said with a deep frown on her face, “Seems like another meeting is on the way for tonight.”
“I… can’t join in.” I said with a bit guilty feeling, and I sighed when I saw her frowned at me and answered the un-asked question, “My step-sister hasn’t come home yet after a fight with her Dad two days ago. So, my Mom called me earlier today and asked me to look for her if I want that Hummer car to be mine.”
“Ah…,” Yuko-san sighed with a sympathetic look on her face, “I hope she’s alright. Your step-sister is a cutie.”
“What the hell? Are you a loli-con or something?!” I growled at her choice of words.
Yuko-san just shrugged and calmly answered, “What? It’s true though.”
“She’s just fifteen for God’s sake.”
“It doesn’t change the fact that she’s cute.” She dead-panned, “Seriously though, I really hope she’s alright. She’s seemed like a good girl, and if people know she’s related to you….”
“Yeah…, I know…,” I grimly said while rubbing my head, “I’ll send Dance to look for her after this.”
“Go now. This is urgent matter. I think I saw her walked out from the back door just minutes before you came.” She ordered with a straight face while watching at the matches.
I sighed as a response and stood up, walking towards the back door as she said. During my walk, I could felt someone watching me, and I didn’t even need to turn back and look who was that. I already knew who. Sigh… I knew Yuko-san was right, I just…. Argh… Damn it all!!
After I walked a few steps out from the stadium through the back door, my ears started to hear some voices. It’s seemed like girls’ voices, made it two girls, and it seemed like they were debating about something. I turned my head towards the direction of the voices and saw the two girls stood behind a sakura tree, their faces couldn’t be seen because the tree’s lowest branches blocked my sight. As I walked closer, I took noticed of the owner from one of the voices, it was Dance, the other one… it’s a familiar voice but I still didn’t know who, until I walked even more closer to them and saw the person. I felt my eyes bulged out and my mouth opened wide.
They noticed me came to them and turned to look at me, and as my mind finished with the rebooting process, I shouted to them, “AHH!!.... Why are you here?!!”, while my finger pointed at the other girl.
Dance was stutteringly whispered my name after she saw me, in a shocked state after I shouted at them, but the other girl ran towards me and gave me a hug while shouting, “Tomo-nee…, I miss you…”

@XxRoByNxX78: nah, it's alright. Glad you still found the time to commented though. Relationships in the gang? Hm... I'll try.

@cisda83: hey... thanks for waiting, here you go...

ShakuSado will be post after the tournament.
@songbac: er... the waiting is not that long this time, right?

@sakura_drop_: Heeee.... glad you like it

About Black, she knows it's very hard for Geki to speak her feelings up, so she spare her from that

And about Sado...

Kokabuki might be the third wheel with the Shibuya-Ookabuki pair, but Sado is the third wheel for almost every couples.
(and not to mention the third wheel for the one she loves and her bestfriend)

So... who can guess who Shibuya's step-sister is?

And... should I make Shaku fight the gang or withdrawing from the tournament?

I still don't know which way should I make her go to.
Anyway, thanks for reading, commenting and the 'thank you's, guys. Sorry for the miss-spelling and bad grammar.
