Chapter 15At breakfast, Mayu, Tomo~mi, Tomochin, Sae, and Yuki sat together.
“Mayu, wasn’t Kumi going to sit with us?” Tomochin asked.
“Yeah, I heard she goes out with that cute first year now! I want to meet her~,” Tomo~mi said.
“You mean Kanon-chan, right? Um, I think I see them over there in the line,” Mayu said. “What are they doing?”
“Is it really okay for me to sit with them?” Kanon asked as Kumi tried to get her to move.
“Of course, they’re my friends,” Kumi said.
“But they’re third-years!” Kanon said.
“Well, except for Mayu-san that’s true, but there’s no reason to be nervous,” Kumi said. “You know Rena-san or Churi-san, and they’re third years.”
“But-!” Kanon said.
“Kumi!” Mayu called and waved her hand at them.
“Look, they’re waiting on us. It’ll be fine,” Kumi said, holding Kanon’s hand as they walked to the table.
“What were you doing?” Mayu asked.
“Let’s not go into details~,” Kumi said.
“So~, aren’t you going to introduce us?” Tomo~mi asked.
“Oh, okay. Everyone this Kimoto Kanon,” Kumi said, hugging Kanon’s shoulders. “That’s Miyazawa Sae-san, Kashiwagi Yuki-san, Itano Tomomi-san, Kasai Tomomi-san, and Watanabe Mayu-san.”
“Nice to meet you all…” Kanon said.
“She’s cute, right?” Tomo~mi asked. “She makes me want to take her away from you, Kumi.”
“Eh?” Tomochin asked, not realizing Tomo~mi was just teasing.
“As if, Kasai-san! She’s mine, right, Non-chan~?” Kumi asked.
“Kumi-san… of course,” Kanon blushed as Kumi held her hand under the table.
“Ah… I’m completely stuck between couples,” Mayu said. “SaeYuki, TomoTomo, and now KumiNon.”
“KumiNon… that’s good, Mayu-san!” Kumi asked, noticing Mayu’s cold expression. “Gomen...”
“Are you saying you haven’t liked anyone else but Yukirin, Mayuyu?” Tomo~mi asked.
“That’s not true! I’ve liked…” Mayu said.
“Go on, Mayuyu,” Yuki said.
“Even Yukirin,” Mayu said.
“Because you haven’t even told me,” Yuki said.
“That’s right, Mayuyu. I want to know,” Sae said.
“It was you, Sae-chan,” Mayu said.
“Ehhh?!” Kumi exclaimed, Tomo~mi, Tomochin, and Kanon were speechless, while Sae and Yuki laughed.
“Eh, eh, what’s so funny?” Mayu asked.
“I knew, Mayu!” Sae said.
“E-Eh?!” Mayu blushed.
“You would always cling to me and, well, eventually I just figured it out,” Sae said.
“That’s a bit out of character,” Kumi said.
“What are you grinning about?” Mayu asked before look at Yuki. “You know, too?”
“I just found out yesterday,” Yuki said. “I guess we both had some secrets, huh?”
“… Are you angry?” Mayu asked.
"No, I'm just shocked," Yuki asked. "That goes for everyone else, right?"
“Yeah,” Kumi said. “I do remember a few times when you ditched me for Miyazawa-san.”
“I did that?!” Mayu asked.
“You did!” Kumi said.
“Gomen ne~,” Mayu said as the bell began to ring. “Already?”
“Time went fast, didn’t it?” Yuki asked.
“Ready, Kanon?” Kumi asked.
“Yeah…” Kanon said, while biting into a piece of toast.
“K-Kanon…” Kumi said.
“Kanon-chan…” Mayu said.
“Eh? What is it?” Kanon said.
“Be careful,” Mayu said before leaving, followed by Sae and Yuki.
“Eh? What did she mean?” Kanon asked.
“Just hurry and finish eating, okay?” Kumi asked as she and Kanon left.
“Tomochin, let’s go,” Tomo~mi said.
“Okay…” Tomochin said, walking a head of Tomo~mi.
“Tomochin, wait up!” Tomo~mi said as she caught up to her side. “Tomochin?”
Meanwhile, in Atsuko and Takamina’s dorm, Takamina was sitting at a desk rehearsing a speech for an assembly. Atsuko had gone to breakfast without her.
“I don’t want you falling out while saying that thing so I brought you some food back,” Atsuko said.
“Arigato,” Takamina said.
“I mean you already memorized it enough, right?” Atsuko asked, sitting on her bed.
“This is my last time,” Takamina said.
“This year you’re not just the class president, but the student council president,” Atsuko said.
“Yeah, I’m happy,” Takamina said.
“Really?” Atsuko asked. “It takes up your time, right?”
“You won’t stop until I pay attention to you, won’t you?” Takamina asked, walking to Atsuko.
“Stop what?” Atsuko asked as Takamina pulled her up and into her arms. “I-I’m just concerned about Takamina.”
“That’s not it,” Takamina said. “You’re afraid I won’t have enough time for you, right~?”
“I didn’t say that!” Atsuko said, pulling away from Takamina.
“That’s what you want to say,” Takamina said.
“S-So what?” Atsuko asked.
“There it is! That tsundere!” Takamina said.
“Like you can talk!” Atsuko said. “There have been plenty of times when I’ve hugged you or something and you show no feeling at all.”
“Since we’ve been together?” Takamina asked.
“Well… not really, but you have done it!” Atsuko said, pouting.
“If you say so…” Takamina said.
“I’m saying you really-” Atsuko was cut off by a kiss. A real kiss.
“If you want attention, I’ll give it to you,” Takamina said.
“M-Minami…” Atsuko said, still shocked that Takamina had just kissed her.
Takamina went back to her desk and grabbed her speech. “Let’s go ahead to the auditorium.”
“…Okay,” Atsuko replied.
Shortly, after an announcement from the intercom, all the students were gathering in the auditorium. Right now, the principal was getting ready to speak.
Backstage, Takamina, Atsuko, and the other members of the student council were there. The vice president was Akane, who is also class president of her class, the secretary is Yui, and the treasurer is Nagao Mariya.
“You better hurry to get a seat with the others,” Takamina said as Atsuko held her hand.
“No, I’ll stay here and wait for you,” Atsuko said.
“If that’s you want,” Takamina sighed.
“Look, Yuihan,” Mariya whispered, “Aren’t they cute together?”
“Yeah. Maeda-san and Takamina-san’s relationship spread across the school pretty quick,” Yui said.
“H-Hey, Yui, is that really true?” Takamina asked.
“It’s fine! Everyone will know Takamina is mine,” Atsuko said.
“It’s our time to go on!” Mariya said as she, Yui, and Akane went on stage.
“Do your best, Takamina,” Atsuko said, squeezing her hand before Takamina left.
After, Takamina performed her speech, Yui went up to speak. Takamina saw Atsuko clapping from off stage and smiled.
“I have a few announcements to make,” Yui started. “For the third year Class-1, a new teacher has been hired had will start tomorrow.”
“Eh?!” Takamina asked, glancing at Atsuko who looked disappointed.
I know I’d hate what she’s thinking about right now…
After Yui finished with announcements, the principal spoke again and everyone left.
“I wonder what kind of teacher we got…” Takamina said.
“I wanted more free time though…” Atsuko said.
“To do more perverted things?” Takamina asked.
“Eh? How did you know?” Atsuko asked.
“So you were thinking about that…?” Takamina asked, sighing.
“Hey~!” Yuko called from behind them with Haruna and Miichan.
“Why didn’t you tell us about the teacher?” Miichan asked.
“I didn’t know! I learned about it right then, too,” Takamina said.
“I wonder if it’s a woman this time…” Yuko said.
“Yuko!” Haruna said.
“What? It’s a teacher, Nyan-Nyan, not a student,” Yuko said.
“Does anyone else hear yelling?” Atsuko asked.
“Yeah. It’s coming from this room,” Yuko said. “Whose dorm is this?”
“It’s Mariyagi and a first year I forgot,” Miichan said.
“I get it, I’ll leave!” Yamauchi Suzuran said, opening the door, bumping into Miichan and they both fell over.
Mariya and Takahashi Juri, the first year Miichan forgot about, was surprised to see their senpai around their door.
“Miichan, are you alright?” Takamina asked.
“Actually, I’m completely fine,” Miichan said, liking the fact that Suzuran was on top of her.
“Uwah, she has that Yuko-look in her eyes…” Takamina said.
“What does that supposed to mean?” Yuko asked.
“Minegishi-san, I’m sorry!” Suzuran said.
“I’m fine,” Miichan said. “What about you?”
“My ankle… I can’t walk on it,” Suzuran said, trying to get up, but failed, and ended up back on Miichan.
“She got hurt because you were in the way, Miichan!” Haruna said.
“How was I supposed to know she was going to open the door?” Miichan asked. “Wait, this isn’t even your room!”
“Ranran-san had come back with us from the auditorium,” Juri said.
“We heard yelling,” Atsuko said.
“Well… um, I don’t think they want me to tell,” Juri said, looking at Mariya who just went back inside. Juri bowed and followed after her.
“Miichan, take Yamauchi to the nurse’s office,” Takamina said.
“Okay~,” Miichan said.
“Don’t Mariya and Suzuran go out?” Haruna asked as they walked down the hall.
“Yeah, since last year,” Takamina said.
“Eh? That long?!” Haruna asked.
“But you and Yuko have been going out since your first year,” Atsuko said.
“Ah, you have a point,” Haruna said.
“We were the best couple in the yearbook both years,” Yuko said, trying to kiss Haruna.
“I was surprised that we even beat the older girls. Yuko, stop,” Haruna said, pushing her away.
“I bet you might win this year, too,” Atsuko said.
“But you guys are a couple now, too,” Yuko said. “It’s not like I don’t want to win, but you two have a chance.”
“We don’t want to win,” Takamina said.
“Well, I wouldn’t mind to win,” Atsuko said.
“Hey, where is Mariko today?” Yuko asked.
“She went back home for something,” Haruna said.
“Her house is pretty far away so must of have been important,” Takamina said.
“Has anyone ever been to Mariko’s house before?” Atsuko asked.
“No, I don’t even think Miichan has,” Haruna said.
“Let’s ask her when she comes back,” Yuko said.
“Do you mean Miichan or Mariko?” Haruna asked.
“I meant Miichan,” Yuko said, kissing her cheek.
“Ah!” Haruna pouted.
“Hey, you guys are loud, you know,” Rino said as she came out of her room.
“Sasshi! I’ve been meaning to talk to you~,” Atsuko said, practically dragging Rino away.
“Hey, Acchan, where are we going?!” Rino asked.
“What was that?” Yuko asked.
“I don’t know…” Takamina said.
